Yang Zi is such a great actress. I felt Xiaoyao's pain and longing to have her mother stay with her just a little bit longer. It's heartbreaking to lose your mother. You are no longer someone's cherished child. You are now the adult. Bravo, Yang Zi. I cried so hard on this scene.
Both of her parents were on opposite sides but they fell in love. They knew the only way to end that war was to sacrifice themselves for their loved ones. When she entered the house I believe the petals are her father's way of telling her he is with her. Her mother saying she's sorry gave xiao yao the closure she needs to move on.
This is heartbreaking because Xiaoyao's mom is telling and explaining things to her to help her understand why she and Xiaoyao's father did what they did. Also, it's like her mother is saying her last goodbye and letting her daughter know she's sorry, but at the same time, she's proud of the young lady she has become.

Xiao Yao is stupid character. She acts like a child still. That's why she goes through alot of hardship. The actress is very good. I love all her Dramas.

Such a watered down scene of a tragic moment in the novel. So disappointing. I wished they would of stayed true to the novels content.
