West Colton Hump Yard Railfanning! FT FXE, GATX, BNSF 8/9/2021

During my day after I railfanned BNSF Kaiser Yard, I headed over to the close, but far larger Union Pacific West Colton Hump Yard to see the heavy switching, and mainline action offered there on the Alhambra Subdivision. For only being there for a relatively short period of time, it still boasted great things, with a Ferromex, SD70ACe-T4, many SD40 switchers (snoot nose included), as well a GATX switcher. There was also a MWCFW I arrived on, which featured both mid and rear DPUs of BNSF power, and a BNSF train with a Pre-Production GEVO! It was definitely a fun chapter in my day of railfanning around the Inland Empire, before I headed off to Ontario and later Fontana later in the day.
