Interesting town. Bafoussam may just have the best roads when compared to other towns in Cameroon. Beautiful video, kind sir. You may wanna do residential areas next time. Nice work!!

With the exception of the bamouns...People from this part of Cameroon are known as the bamilekes and their savoir fair in business. The amazing stuff here is that they are all bamilekes but you will be surprise by the complexity of how the vernacular here changes from village to village, division to division.A man from bangante for example will encounter some challenges understanding the dialect of a man from say dschang.Even within dschang...the dialects are not exactly the same from village to village..

Yes that's true, but all the Bamileke languages are similar to one another (it came from one language and transformed as they broke off into different chiefdoms), it wouldn't take a lot of effort to learn any of the languages if you already know one. The majority of our grandparents for example spoke and understood many of the Bamileke languages.
We will build Bafoussam, it has already started, a lot are just waiting for this dictatorial regime to go.

The high altitude is responsible for this.Yes most of the western and north west region gets really cold in the mornings and nights but can be very very hot at midday. The cold is not fresh though like the one in upper Buea town.It is a harsh.Bafoussam is one of the biggest cities in Cameroon but i don't really know where it is ranked today.Previously it was Douala,Yaounde,Nkongsamba,Bafoussam,Garoua and bamenda in that ranking file.Nkongsamba is today an abandoned town and no longer considered a very important but it holds a special place in the heart of anyone who is from the West region because of the rich soil and historical importance when the bamilekes and bassas were waging an unforgivable war against the french colonialists.

Even with that linguistic divide which is not even our language but something impose on us by the imperialists, the people of the North west and western are twins from the same mother and father. The culture, way of life is exactly the same across the board. There is a growing and steady growth of "anglo bamis" blending with their counterparts and making it hard to draw a line.

The Grassfield of Cameroon is a cultural area that has many ethnicities, the Bamileke being one of them.
