beautiful!! I am 53. started hang gliding at 41. I've been out of it for about 6 years. I'm getting ready to buy a new glider and get back up there. I miss it so bad.
Excellent! The silky smooth vocals matches your flying. I did notice the ~35yr old glider...and the very modern Paragliders....I exclaimed out loud "when was this?" Thanks for showing us all the immense pleasure of ridge soaring. Nice work!
This is soooo awesome. If you start looking into Hang Gliding, John Heiney's name comes up again and again. I'm an old, former HG flyer from back in the mid-70's starting up all over again in Arizona. Someday, I'd like to meet this guy in person!
Never been here but it looks like fun. John, if I keep watching your videos I'm gonna be looking for a glider. I thought about getting back into skydiving but flying hang gliders was my real passion. Dang it. I've still got my harness. Hmmm...
Now, where did John find all Denta-Wing 185 Dream (as Dino called it) in this day and age? I miss Bill and the entire gang and our days in his shop. Hi John.
ordinarily I despise music in HG vids ( prefer the sound of the surroundings , harmony of the wing fighting the wind ) however in this vid , tastefully done , enjoyed it . Ps , nice flight
That's a great one, John. Thanks for all the great photos and videos over the decades. You have a real ability to showcase our sport in a way that all appreciate!
Great video, great selection of music, so soothing and acoustic. I flew a 1984 Flight Designs Demon 175 (with _internal_ floating cross-tube) that had the same color pattern as your Dream. Most of my ridge soaring began with that wing. Thanks John Heiny, for your contribution to the artful sport of hang gliding performance extraordinaire 💥
Hi John this is Diego glad to see again , hopefully everything is good with you I have a good memories from you as a teacher of hanggliding and nice person you're always I said " John heiney is the " gentleman of hanggliding" you're the Best
This is Point of the Mountain. It lies between Salt Lake City and Provo Utah in the USA. It's about 20 miles south of Salt Lake City. The I-15 Freeway runs north/south and passes close to the Point. You will see the north and south soaring ridges from the freeway. Join the club. Have fun. Fly safely. www.uhgpga.org/
Wow that was sooo well done! Thanks for using my tune John!!!

So proud of you John. Small town boy makes it big. Huntley should be proud of you too. Say hello to Keri and Kathy for me.
It was a pleasure to help with this, and I look forward to flying again with you soon :)
Thank you all for the kind words.
Well done. Just simply a great production with a seamless and beautiful story.
This is awesome!! Makes me wish I was flying a hang glider right now. Great job Mr. Heiney!
The music and video in perfect harmony with the wind and your gliding , John . A perfect show of how fun hang gliding can be.
The Dream 185- one of the top 5 glider designs EVER!
Beautiful! How can we explain the joy of flight? This is how. Bravo!
That was sweet, John.

Very well done and smooth as silk John
A nice relaxing video, which is helped along with a smooth tune. It's funny, I could never make my ''Dream'' fly like that. Well done 'Bonnie Lad'

Back in the day, we used to set up in the dark, so we could launch at first light!
This makes me feel alive!
YOU'VE GOTTEN SO MUCH BETTER AT VIDEO EDITING! And you're a hang glider... good work.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌
Is that a Harrier 177?
Must be a dream 185.. My first training glider!
Nice. Music was very "Lennon-esque". Hang gliding needs to connect with spiritual roots and get away from the numbers game.
🤓👍
Krusevo. Makedonia
Great video!
