Wowee! You're lucky that wasn't worse than it was. Here in the states the license plate typically hangs off the left side of the bike. In Europe and Asia I believe the default is to hang over the back tire. Having had flight training, a helpful habit I've gotten into is is to do a walk around of the bike before getting on it, looking for anything unusual. I'm betting that plate was bent in pretty close to the tire before you got on it? Regardless. VERY glad you are safe! Your videos are excellent!
check your rear wheel alignment and belt alignment mind as well check everything on the bike , and take it to Harley Davidson they can go over the rest, the car that bang you from behind will pay for everything
