I would love one sided relationships! Idk how that would work but it would be great to have someone secretly hate someone while the other thinks they are best friends
I haven't played sims in almost half a year now! This video makes me wanna go back and make some sims, but I have exams to study for and I know I won't stop once I start. I stay in CAS for hours before I even start the rest of the game😩. Great video btw😁❤️
Same girl same. I stopped playing for like two years, then I found out Cottage Living was out there in the world, I HAD to play it right away, I got hooked up for honestly three days. And I screwed the exam I was studying for
For me, it's far more important we get substance more than how Sims look, because it was always EA prizing spectacle over gameplay that made The Sims 4 suffer. Each world could look as pretty as it liked, but if it got boring fast, it was pointless and empty. The colour-wheel is a must. I'd like back favourite foods, colours, music, activities, traits, likes, dislikes, fears, hobbies, lifetime aspirations, and the ability to have whatever, and however many, skills we wish in Create-A-Sim, so Sims aren't released total idiots into the world at full adulthood (If I want my Sim to start out a master at cooking, so be it!). I like the idea of diet preferences. I wish we could have back MEMORIES. I'd like back star signs. I'd like alternative sexualities, and turn ons and turn offs, and we should have the ability to not have to fill in attraction options, so Sims can be asexual. Height sliders would be nice - Teenagers being shorter than adults would be VERY welcome. Elders having DIFFERENT VOICE ACTORS WHO ACTUALLY SOUND OLD would be good (I LOVED Pollination Technician 9's voice)!! Children having as many traits, likes, fears, etc as the adults would be welcome, just kid-themed but not all cutesy or it gets dull. Women, young women, and teen girls having periods would be refreshing (and the option to turn off menstrual cycles if they get annoying). Pets with free will AND the option to turn them off for those who wish it would be BRILLIANT (personally, I like to play god and tell my dog/cat what to do).
I would devil's advocate for one of your points and say it would be more interesting if the game decided the sim's skill level based on their traits and hobbies just to add some challenge. For instance, a sim who likes writing could start off the game with a level 3+ skill level, the exact level depending on other traits like being a genius or lazy.
@@thatqueenG Interesting idea, but, let's be frank, this game was never that challenging, really. Is it even meant to be? I think the idea of skills working with personalities would start out well, but, then we'd all have clashing opinions on which skills should be how high for different Sims. 'Challenge skills' mode could be worked in though.
i think having swatches and a colour wheel would be good so we could get basic colours premade but if we wanted something more advanced it would be a basegame option aswell
I was gonna say this. It just makes sense. Because in this game all the colors are just the SLIGHTEST bit off and it’s almost like they don’t want anything to match. 🤣
I would love to see a combined autonomy and whim system. Like if a sim had a whim that didn't really require the player's interactions (like travel or something) they'd just autonomously do it.
i would LOVE one more life state- but not preteens, i want it to be SUPER ELDERS. like, i want the chance for my sims to live to be like 105 years old, and i want them to LOOK like super old people. shorter, crazy wrinkles, hunched backs, doctors visits... so i think it should go, baby, toddler, kid, teen (i do want them to LOOK like teens though haha), young adult, adult, senior, elder. i havent seen anyone else talk about this, but i think it'd be very very fun, especially for family game play. also i want there to be maybe a 70% chance your sim dies as a senior, with a chance to get to elder status, i dont think it should be a life stage that every sim will get to
Nah, we need a colour wheel for clothes imo. Or at least sliders on every swatch & more swatches. Way more swatches. Likes & dislikes having food preferences is also a MUST. And I've never played Sims 2 but I'd love to have the Sims 2 personality sliders incorporated alongside the traits system. Laziness & cleanliness etc being on a spectrum sounds pretty cool.
I usually play the sims 2 and I prefer personality points over traits kind of. Personalities get unique animations for so many different things and how they interact is far more interesting. I think it’s try’s only game we’re you can constantly see your sims personality at play. It would be great to choose a few key traits but have the same base personalities. Although that seems so complicated
I had a migraine dream about the Sims 5 the other day, and the only thing I can remember about it is that there was a trait system where there were five sections and you got to chose a trait for each. The section I remember had like "light sensitivity" (so you'd have to have dim lighting in the house and/or curtains over the windows or they'd get irritated or uncomfortable), "lactose intolerant", "near/far sighted", and allergies correlating to like, seasons, pets, certain foods, ect. I just remember waking and thinking "Huh, there's a way to try invisible disabilities." I know they're more complicated than that, but I don't trust the Sims to go super in depth.
I would like the color slider to return for everything, like it was in Sims 3. It's my favorite feature of Sims 3. I want it for both CAS and Build/Buy mode. I love being able to save my favorite colors, patterns and textures. I just thought of something though. I like role playing games. One of the things about role-playing is crafting. I would like to see the Sims expand on the crafting. It shouldn't just be the cheap crap you can make at the wood working bench. I think they should expand on that. They should be able to buy or unlock new patterns. Once they know the pattern or read the instructions on how to build something. They should be able to sew it, knit it or create it at the work bench. I also think our Sims should gather some of the materials needed to make certain things. Not only is crafting a way to make money. But it's also a way to add more content for our Sims to get involved in. We would still have our usual clothes in CAS and items in build buy mode. But I think there should be a chunk of that that our Sims can craft themselves. Then you add the color slider on top of that. Imagine your Sim building their own home. I don't want it to look like what someone made in Jr. High shop class. Eventually, Sims should be able to make good quality stuff. I think it would be cool if you gave your Sim a blue plan and had them build it. Maybe not all of it. But enough to feel like they built most of their home or designed their dream wedding dress. Something like that.
I want lufe stages differentiated but I dont want cartoonish hunched elders. Apart from my really really old relatives, my irl elders are not hunched walking stick using stereotypes. They are just like us but with more wrinkles and grey hair. Some customisation like sims 4 walk style would be better, you could pick if they hunch or have walking aids (i used a walking stick in my early 30s due to knee injuries until a series of surgery fixed the issue). So not having it life stage locked is more realistic and customisable.
I think they should defo separate “character traits” from “personality”. For example, if you describe someone’s personality you’d say they’re shy, lazy, funny, brave, creative, shallow, egoistic, generous, etc., whereas green thumb is not really a personality, it’s more of a character trait. I was thinking they could go back to the 5 original personality traits (outgoing/shy, lazy/active, mean/nice, serious/playful, neat/slob) of the Sims 1 and 2 with either a 3 or 5 point system -> 3 points for nice would be -1: mean, 0: normal and +1 nice. For a 5 point system for nice you could have -2: evil, -1: mean, 0: normal, +1: nice, +2: saint, with both extremes (-2 and +2) coming with quirks, where the person either LOVES suffering, lying and chaos OR the person is honest to a point they can’t lie. At all. Ever. They could add more! They could then add character traits as well from the Sims 3 and 4. That way, you could have a sort of “base personality” as well as other traits, which should be more general -> dexterous rather than handy for example. I feel that “handy” should be a reward trait for gaining Handiness Level 10 OR the Sim should already be fairly skilled. I mean you don’t say: “Oh, I’m handy! Wait… How do you use a hammer?”, do you? I also think some traits should exclude certain skills -> if you are not creative and despise art, you should NEVER reach level 10 painting! Alternatively, the Skill could be capped earlier, so the Sim can only reach level 7. Which brings me to another point: talents. If a parent takes good care of the babies, toddlers, enthuses about a certain topic (say music), plays instruments around them, etc, the Child Sim could obtain a “talent”. If you nurture it, they would gain more skill points, maybe even more than 10! To avoid the child just being talented at EVERYTHING, you could just make the time required to hone the talent so great, they couldn’t manage more than 2 or 3 at the MAX. Talents could be anything creative, sportive or requiring skill. Food preferences should include vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, meat lover, etc as well as favourite and despised foods (either specific dishes, spiciness or cuisines). This could include foodie, “juicie”, etc. There could be another section for intolerances (lactose, gluten) and allergies! I think it would be nice if a Sim could “decide” to become a vegetarian / vegan down the line, where they choose to give up meat, hence earning the trait. If they don’t succeed, they lose the trait. This would come with certain positive / negative moodlets. For CAS, defo sliders, but also an option to create a “Beauty Standard”. The more the Sims adhere, the more beautiful they are -> beautiful trait. Conversely, if they don’t adhere at all… -> ugly. You can make the BS however you want (or choose not to have one at all), so that you end up with a conventionally beautiful Sim being considered hideous! Then depending how mean the Sims are, they might be mocked or shunned. This is probably going too far thought… Might be a little too real. It’s just kind of funny when people create the most nightmare fuel Sim ever and the other Sims don’t bat an eye. Some reaction would be nice! Not to mention giving a Sim the beautiful trait (Sims 3 I think?) seems weird… Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think they should have more life stages: babies, toddlers, preschoolers, child, tweens, teens, young adults, adults, seniors elders. If they had "growth spurts" within the younger phases, they wouldn't need as many I guess. They could just "grow" within a lifestage, then transition like they do now. It's just slightly irritating when a household has 2 children (one just turned, another 1 day away from becoming a teen) and there is NO (outwardly visible) DIFFERENCE! Yes, in skills, but not in height! Alternatively, they could add a new feature: gradual aging, rather than periodical. What a concept! As for seniors: adults (35 - 50 lets say) turn into 80 year olds in one fell swoop! We need a stage in between, where the adults are clearly older, can retire, enjoy life but without immediately dying after WooHooing twice in a row! They could start turning grey at the end of the adult stage with new moodlets (and fears!!!): "First grey hair!", "Dimming Eyesight", "Hearing Loss" --> They can wear glasses, hearing aids, die their hair (similar to nails, it grows out unless changed in CAS) continuing into seniorhood. They could enjoy discounts, holidays, etc. Some may die in this phase (depending on fitness, health, how life has treated them), but most will make it to Elderhood. I could go on, but that's probably not a wise decision... should probably get a hobby… Thinking about what the Sims 5 (or back in the day Sims 4) could be like eases the anxiety. Sorry for the length (whoever reads the whole thing: thank you! Have a ⭐!)
Yay! Thanks. 😁 Oh, I forgot about "acquired traits": essentially, as the Sims lives they could acquire certain traits such as "spoiled brat" or "thankful" depending on how the parents raised them. It would be nice if certain traits changed over time. For instance, children lost some of their shyness. Also, this would take time. Not like the Sims 4 where "Oh, you played a game ONE time in a good mood, you must love it!", but something that actually requires some effort or at least memories.
I feel like many forget how heavy to load and play was The Sims 3. And apparently, that was mainly due to open world and color wheel for everything lol. Honestly, I would trade both of this thing for a lighter ans smoother game everyday. A thing I really feel is kinda missing in The Sims 4 is more social interaction. At the end of the day, I always use the same 4-5 interaction, imagine how boring and repetitive their conversations are!
I think some kind of one-sided love system should be added , im soo tired of my sims being flirted with and it causing issues in their marriage when they didnt even flirt back
Wants and fears would be awesome to bring back :D, they have whims but they are usually not geared to the sim really but just random or based on something generic.
If people truly don't want an updated and better functioning Create-A-Style back, then we need a color wheel for everything imo. Swatches are okay but I always felt like it was asking creative people to play within 'this' box and do your best to make it work. I want more freedom to match everything in my home from the walls and floors to the furniture and even my sims clothing if I so choose to. I want to make my own "swatches" that I can go back to later or share them without it being a mod or CC.
I'd love the hair color sliders, as well as a secondary slider for dyed hair. Also I thought (I don't know if this was ever a feature) that you should be able to achieve certain career ranks if and only if your sim is really into that, for example, a sim who's creative and loves painting should be able to achieve some kind of "master painter" rank that other sims couldn't, or maybe a sim that's a foodie, creative and geek could go into a "experimental food" route, that would also be awesome I think
I would love a lifelong aspiration that can be unlocked (kinda like lifestyles) and an age related aspiration (think “I’m a teen and I wanna learn to drive). I would also love more dynamic ages because it really gets my head in a twist with the ages. Needs to be more fluid
Yasss! Traits should be character traits, and hobbies should be separate. I also want the traits to have more influence on how individual sims behave. Someone else mentioned sliders, and I think that's a great idea. With things like lazy vs motivated, selfish vs generous, hates kids vs loves kids, flirty vs prudish, introverted vs extroverted, etc. And then have an option to choose a quirk or two as well. Like lactose intolerance is a quirk, not a trait. You could have like 20 options and can only chose up to two, or something like that. Or maybe get to choose a phobia. Or both, chose a quirk, chose a phobia. Hmmm, maybe instead of traits, chuck that whole system and go with choosing motivations and fears instead. But again, whatever they go with, it needs to affect game play. I also second whomever said there need to be one sided relationships bars. Like, just because one sim has a crush doesn't mean it's reciprocated, and love triangles would be so much more effective!
I like how you start your videos. It's like we're an uninvited friend that just popped over. Oh Hi.😂 I'm a little confused though, don't all the swatches already have sliders? I use them all the time. It's a pain in the ass but they're there. You can even save the color swatch you've created.
That's only makeup, and it was added quite recently. Whereas in 3, it was in the basegame at the start and you could colorwheel absolutely EVERYTHING. However, it did make the game quite laggy.
The sims 3 customization for clothes, furniture, and everything else really was very overwhelming to me, I think If sims 5 could simplify it down some more that would really be great!
This is an unpopular opinion but I don’t really mind the sliders in Sims 2 and 3and I think they’re better in some ways than the just dragging way. The sliders can definitely be overwhelming but they’re more intuitive I think when you get used to them. There’s only so much you can change too when you have to actually rely on their face… there’s more detail possible with sliders, if that makes sense.
Color wheel for clothes is necessary... before using cc I had the hardest time ever trying to pick clothes that look good together and it was annoying af
It would be cool to see even more detailed customization in their personalities too, like how much these 5 different facets affect behavior. To give an example say my sim has art as a hobby but them liking it is 'somewhat' like and not 'absolutely' love it. As a consequence, my sim won't gain the skill as fast or they won't tend to do it automatically as much. It could even fit under likes and dislikes and apply this system. In terms of traits like "mean" they could be on a distribution of extremely mean to extremely nice and have a range of interactions/ frequency of the interactions occurring autonomously and these traits could affect another Sims accordingly but considering THAT Sim's personality as a factor as well which will increase or decrease the likelihood of a certain mood that Sim feels
I wouldn't want height sliders jsut because I feel it would be harder to work with Sims's actions such as kissing hugging or just interacting with sims
I would appreciate it if townies had a more limited selection of clothing. I have seen some ugly combinations of random outfits - especially when CC is included! I appreciate sliders although I can see variable heights making some animations more complicated. But it would be great to have three heights for teens and adults - shorter, average, taller - as default options. You could then make yours teens shorter with a click! Or if you wanted your Sim to look like a female basketball player, taller than most, then just click that option. I also hope for an intermediate age (junior high) that is between children and teens - which could also be fixed if there were default heights to click for children so the taller option would make them appear as 10-13 years old say. I think that children and teens should have more skills available to them as well. And I agree with what @Seven Ellen said earlier, it would be great to have older voice actors provide voices for elders.
Having different postures for elder sims and having unique clothing items for every life stage will very likely be too expensive to do and I also think an official height slider will never be implemented because of that. The animation system would have to be reworked from the ground up to have all heights interact with all objects and other Sims without glitches. Personally I would also be sad to not be able to let my Sims choose clothes from all the ages. Why should my granny sim not wear a tight magenta crop top?
While the gender customization is great, I would love if you could pick specific things, like whether or not your sim has breasts, even if it’s a feminine frame. Also pronouns, but apparently that’s coming to sims 4 soon. Also, an attraction system would be fun, though it might be optional for players who don’t want to worry about that.
We need MORE and BETTER options for sims of color because the skin colors suck, especially once your sim has a darker Complexion and the the make up looks like clown make up! 😠
I remember hating Sims 3. I still gave it a chance and bought it at the most recent sale. I still hated it. The graphics are so sloppy while trying to look sleek. I can't stand the color wheel (but that may be because my disability prevents me from such precise control). I've heard about the walking sticks but since I never play with elders (they go to a "nursing home), I don't care about them.

That’s one of my favorite features from the sims 2!! It never should have been removed

Yes 100%! Also hate woohooing! The Sims hate each other but have a strong "romantic" desire to woohoo them 😂

Have a ⭐!)
I like your beauty standard idea!
Yay! Thanks. 😁
Oh, I forgot about "acquired traits": essentially, as the Sims lives they could acquire certain traits such as "spoiled brat" or "thankful" depending on how the parents raised them.
I think some kind of one-sided love system should be added , im soo tired of my sims being flirted with and it causing issues in their marriage when they didnt even flirt back
As someone who colors their hair I really miss the detail to which you could color sims hair in TS3.
I really hope we get wants and fears back. They make the sims seem much more real
Have you ever played sims medieval? It's quite fun, you control the whole kingdom instead of just one family.
I would love a lifelong aspiration that can be unlocked (kinda like lifestyles) and an age related aspiration (think “I’m a teen and I wanna learn to drive). I would also love more dynamic ages because it really gets my head in a twist with the ages. Needs to be more fluid
never been this early, love your content
What I want for Sim 5 create a sim is vitiligo skin types.
I like how you start your videos. It's like we're an uninvited friend that just popped over.
Oh Hi.😂
I'm a little confused though, don't all the swatches already have sliders? I use them all the time. It's a pain in the ass but they're there. You can even save the color swatch you've created.
I think that's only makeup
That's only makeup, and it was added quite recently. Whereas in 3, it was in the basegame at the start and you could colorwheel absolutely EVERYTHING. However, it did make the game quite laggy.
The sims 3 customization for clothes, furniture, and everything else really was very overwhelming to me, I think If sims 5 could simplify it down some more that would really be great!
Teens, adults and elders should NOT have seperate clothing options. That was so annoying in the earlier games
In the sims 3 you could pick any of the aspirations not just the ones it generated because of the traits, just thought I’d say
All those things should be in The Sims 4...
This would introduce more variability to the game in terms of Sim behavior.
Whims are actually in Sims 4! I don't remember how you can get them but I do have them in my base game!
YESSS 👏🏼👏🏼 we need all of this!!!
I agree with you! Can you do another video of storyline ideas please?
Damn never been this early. Gotta claim it 😂
I wouldn't want height sliders jsut because I feel it would be harder to work with Sims's actions such as kissing hugging or just interacting with sims
This sim is so crazy pretty
I’d like the height, but would also want it to auto grow as they age as children/toddlers so they visually grow up as time goes on
Having different postures for elder sims and having unique clothing items for every life stage will very likely be too expensive to do and I also think an official height slider will never be implemented because of that. The animation system would have to be reworked from the ground up to have all heights interact with all objects and other Sims without glitches.
Personally I would also be sad to not be able to let my Sims choose clothes from all the ages. Why should my granny sim not wear a tight magenta crop top?
honestly if sims 5 was JUST like sims 3 but with the cas and build mode from sims 4 it'd be perfect
dear ea, maxis, sims studio, general sims team: this, please.
While the gender customization is great, I would love if you could pick specific things, like whether or not your sim has breasts, even if it’s a feminine frame. Also pronouns, but apparently that’s coming to sims 4 soon. Also, an attraction system would be fun, though it might be optional for players who don’t want to worry about that.
you can already manipulate body features with the sliders in the sims 3 or the cursor in the sims 4 lol
@@thatqueenG yeah but you can never make a feminine sim have a completely flat chest
I’m one of the few that doesn’t want sims 5 lol. I’ll be happy with improvements to 4
I miss when sims had body hair and horoscopes
We need MORE and BETTER options for sims of color because the skin colors suck, especially once your sim has a darker Complexion and the the make up looks like clown make up! 😠
Kinda early ? ✨
make sims 5 in 2024
make sims 5 game in 2023
I remember hating Sims 3.
Your internet personality and the variety of content you offer are *chef's kiss* 🤌
Pls never change ✨
