In this video, SoundPure Acoustic Guitar Expert, Robinson Earle, demonstrates his secret weapon for recording slide guitar in the studio. He decided to use a National NRP Tricone Cutaway Steel Guitar wit a Slimline Pickup and Carr Sportsman Amplifier. Blending the sounds of the room and the amp, we are able to get an amazing sound that sounds amazing. Very cool! You could also just record it and re-amp the slide -- less bleed hassle.Nice playing dude

That was great. Acoustic or electric strings?

He plays well but for some reason I don’t like the sound of an electrified resonator. I like them better without pickups.

too bad the Distortion, destroys the quality of sound. Nothing short of lousy. Why didn't you just play it w/o distortion and then add it so we could hear the raw sound of the Metal body cutaway. You didn't even play the upper neck to check intonation.
