I'd love that machine, but can it warm up the cups placed on top with a thermoblock that has not warmed up yet? The whole machine must return ded cold down to the portafilter in a short time after brewing? I'm not interested in warming up the machine by running out three shot of hot water.

Do you know where the manometer measures pressure: at the pump or at the group head? When it peaks at ~9 bars, the shot pulls very fast (~15 seconds) and tastes extremely sour. Things work out better when the gauge peaks at ~13 bars, which makes me think it’s being measured at the pump, and decreases to ~9 bars by the time it reaches the group head. What’s happening?
I just received my Solis am having trouble. Out of 15 shots I’ve gotten maybe 3 that came out. It seems to be extremely sensitive to grind size, and no matter what I do, even repeating the same on the good shots, it’s not consistent. Sometimes the bar will go past 14 and then it won’t even send water through. I got it to extract once at 11, didn’t change a thing, made another shot and it went over 14. Any ideas what’s happening? I already had to send back the first one because tech said something failed in the thermo block.
i am geting 16 bar pressure what to do i have set temperature at highest i have medium roast coffee beans and and J max grinder set at 1.2 rotation what to do plz help??
I cannot seem to find an affordable machine that consistently heats the boiler to 90-96C, or one that makes an espresso that is 68-74C in a warmed cup. Does this machine have a reputation for being consistent with heat? Does it have a problem with a frother that "spits" water during the frothing? These are problems I'm having with a Delonghi Stilosa that I bought a little over a year ago. The frother spits almost 3 tablespoons of water as it froths, which dilutes the milk way too much.
Purging the steam wand. You have to switch the machine to steam mode BEFORE you purge the steam wand. At 3:22 you purge the steam wand, but you don't have the machine set to steam. All you are doing is pumping out hot water. Your finger moved towards the steam button, but did not press it. So I presume that this was simply a filming mistake that you did not catch in editing.
Solis had machines from Breville in the past, before Breville entered the european market with Sage. At this point Solis started to develop a own espresso machine. The perfetta is 100% Solis.
@@catherineostrom7575 Since July 2022. Spare part problem, No. The machine still okay. Everyday I turn it ON for just a cup of coffee. Sometimes ON for 5 hours.
My "cup warmer" is almost useless. The top/cup warmer is made of plastic, so it takes a lot longer to heat up, than a metal top. I am usually finished and cleaning up by the time it has heated up to a temp that will warm the cup. So I don't bother with it. I warm the cup by putting hot water from the steam wand into the cup.
In the reviews I've read, there are many that had trouble with the machine leaking water, even after returning and replacing the machine. What's your take on this? I was thinking of buying this machine, but this seems to be a common problem.
Have you ever run into an issue where two red lights pop up (blinking) the Programing Button and the Steam Button at the same time? We have used this a few times and then suddenly it started doing this right when we turn it on. Any tips or suggestions? :)
You don't have to film everything in one take, and that makes things more stress and messy, film ur talk section as A roll and take time to film ur B roll, that way you don't need multi camera set up etc.
This was very helpful! Short and sweet and to the point. Thank you!
Welcome, and thank you.

Does this coffee machine has the function of hot water outlet in the steamer?
Yes
Leave the machine in brew mode (not steam), open the steam valve, and hot water comes out of the steam wand.
Wonder how this stacks against the breville duo temp
Hi, thanks for the video. At the end of the video you used a naked portafilter. Was that a Solis our a universal brand portafilter

It's, for this machine, the gauge should point to 11-13 bar for espresso
This machine measures at the pump and yeah, I've found the best tasting shots for me when I'm pulling at 12-13 bar on the manometer.
@@masamunesword agreed, i have had this machine for over a year and played around with pressure and grinds and 12 13 bar works best
The manual says it’s 16-18g baskets why in the video you mention 14? Thanks.

Hello Pedro, what specific grinder are you using in this video?
Probably eureka mignon notte

Very informative, but the background music is disruptive! Turn it down.

He doesn’t mention it, but this machine is made by Breville / Sage. Solid was acquired by Breville some time ago.
And another fun fact for you Breville has now acquired Baratza!

Nice video ☕🌲 I have one also the machine, The red one 😎🆒⛄🔥🔥🔥
I love it
How long have you owned it? Any problems?

A tip if you don't want to burn your lips, keep the cup warm by placing it upright instead of upside down

It only leaks when the water reservoir is not properly placed.

Is the breville portafilter compatible with this?
