I agree that the Fender HM Strats were the best Fender has ever made. Bummer these don't have TBX tone knobs, and come with inferior trems. I would have bought the ice blue, but only if it came with a maple fingerboard. Luckily, I have a gorgeous redstone with all the bells and whistles.
The Lead 3 and Player Mustangs are calling me.
I had an 82 or 83 lead 2 when I was a kid. Pretty excited to see these come back. Like you, I'd opt for the 3, no the 2

@@bobbillnolan7644 exactly. i played a 50s vintera strat recently and really liked it very much, especially the neck. i´m also just waiting for some nitro versions to pull the trigger
Modestoney : try a roadworn strat, or telecaster, they are still available, new, although discontinued, I love em... limited choice of colours though👎 they’re about £1000
@@bobbillnolan7644 i even bought a RoadWorn Strat at one point because i love my RoadWorn Tele a lot, but i returned it - tried other RoadWorns, also didn´t click with them - somehowe those Strats don`t do it for me.

No Squier stuff for some reason.
Guitar centre supposedly leaked the new squier releases including a toronado, cyclone and super sonic but i haven't heard anything since they removed all the listings
h o w i e Gear News has a story about it with pics. There’s a bunch of cool stuff. Maybe they weren’t ready and have to wait for Summer NAMM. Maybe Fender is afraid it will compete with themselves too much.
Is Squier at NAMM 2020?
I keep waiting...i googled and sae the guitar center ad leak...they have some amazing ones coming ....more excitng to me than the fender line even.
If you google squier - paranormal series you will get a couple of hits.

The Lead Series are not a new design. They were out in the 70's and the 80's.
The Lead II and III are reissues Joss, they aren't new... -_-;;

They werde First introduced in the 70ties and now they make reissues frim the exact model. The headstock even looks like i have seen on the vintage ones

Which I'm sure are honestly more attractive to the average guitar person and are some of fenders best work right now lol. I got a few pro strat bodies I have ordered from stratosphear. Put some warmoth necks on them and they are great. Great bodies and the v mod pick ups are pretty good too.
I love Fender but this NAMM line up isn’t great Epiphone had a better NAMM presentation

Rats. Sorry to be a downer everyone but I'm not pleased. Do any of these have stainless steel frets? I don't think so...
Many of them are made out of the states so part mix and matching is likely to be difficult. And I'm also not a fan of how any of these look... Sorry but I'm still of the mind set that fender in the 50s 60s and to a degree... 90s is the best time for fender.
Oh well... At least they are not as wallet rapey and crappy as gibson right now...
