They have been friends for a long time (even though their relationship is tumultuous and they act like best enemies/bickering friends, they are there for each other in the worst times and we can see they consider each other friends when they are not bickering). Here, it's the first time Pacey realizes he's attracted to Joey (which didn't happen overnight but he needed a calmer day to realize it).
True. Even tho him and Andie I think were even better but they ruined it and had her cheat on him and he just couldn’t forgive her

I'm not surprised that he falls in love with her look at that smile and those eyes she is gorgeous. And it's so cute that she genuinely does not realize that she is utterly beautiful. Their is already something between them though she gives a slight little smile when he says he is attracted to her.

Very true because she always gave him it back and she is very clever they challenged each other he used to tease her and wind he up but clearly really thought she was gorgeous and fancied her a lot.
I'm glad they were endgame. I really thought it'd be her and Dawson. But it does make since that she'd end up with him. She had to have really loved him to pick him the first time over Dawson the boy she wanted for years.
shows the cast/crew actually really cared about the characters to truly consider what would be best for them rather than doing what's expected

This is when I unexpectedly fell in love with them. I have a special place in my heart for Joey and Dawson, though I get that's an unpopular opinion, but there was so much chemistry with these two. They dated irl for a couple of years which the show creators said was their motivation for this coupling. She called Joshua her first love ❤
Is not unpopular, trust me! I also liked Dawson a lot, but them when I saw Pacey in the third season, I knew they were meant to be. A lot of people criticizes Dawson's character, but it wasn't his fault, he was raised in a way that he had everything he wanted and was kind of spoiled by his parents, but he was a nice person too, with good and bad things too.

Oh wow. I completely forgot he kissed her here. I thought the roadside kiss was their first. It's great to see these scenes again.
Although the season 1 kiss didn’t really seem like hint at anything it was cute. The banter on the other hand was pretty telling even if initially wasn’t meant too.
I think it hinted at quite a lot. First off, Pacey’s attraction for Jo is established here. Also his conversion with Dawson feels like foreshadowing for season 3 because now he knows Dawson’s not really cool with it. He also says in the next episode it’s not really fair to pursue Jen, and not let anybody date Joey. Pacey and Joey talk about leaving Capeside, which is a huge factor in their relationship later on. And finally, after Pacey kisses Joey and she turns him down, he says she’d just be thinking about Dawson anyway, which establishes his insecurities over his friend.
What I just realize is their conversation about Joey leaving Capeside ends up being a major factor in their relationship. Pacey even laments that he’s never getting out and Joey says don’t worry… which plays into the series finale.
She constantly rips on through these scenes but after he tries to kiss her she lets him down easily. At least she didn't make him feel foolish .
Big contrast here to when he kisses her again later on. She lets him down easy here and more or less says, “hey no big deal, I just don’t feel the same way.” Versus when they continually grow closer and Pacey tries kissing her again, and she’s furious about what this will mean for their friendship/Dawson. Joey had feelings for Pacey the second time he kissed her, and she was forced to acknowledge them.
Pacy was way better then Dawson, 😍

She wasn’t in love with Pacey yet here. She was still stuck on her feelings for Dawson and it took her an annoyingly long amount of time to shake her dependence on Dawson and realize childhood friendship/crush doesn’t always translate into romantic love. The second time Pacey kisses her, she does have strong feelings for him, but she’s so in denial, she blows up at Pacey for making her confront them.

well they did date for a year (around the time the show made their real life romance translate to the small screen) and she said he was her first love. they are still on good terms, she called him after she divorced tom.
2:51 - this is what i don't get. i'm currently watching season 4 and Joey gets into her dream school but doesn't get a good financial aid package. she clearly tells her guidance counselor she wished she applied to more scholarships
yet here we are in season 1 , she's working super hard...........yet a few years later forgets her hardship and didn't apply to a bunch of scholarships?
maybe that summer trip with Pacey wasn't a great idea after all.
I think it was because of the success of the B&B led her to believe it might not be an issue or factor?
Either that or the fact that season 1 writer's were totally different than season 4 writer's!

Plot holes. Or illogical teenager stuff. I wasn't the most consistent even knowing how bad finances are. We go into denial. But probably plot holes

Joey became stupid, like Pacey, after getting into a relationship with him. I've seen this happen in real life too. Even in my own class back in highschool. Even my distant cousin was like that. With Dawson, Joey had to work hard to get him in season 1. She also had to defend and keep him safe from the threat of other girls as competition. So she was always on her toes in every part of her life. But with Pacey, she didn't have to do any of that and became weak.
He really thought joey had bad grades??

This channel has quickly fallen very low. It only shows what and how it wants the audience to think of something from Dawson's Creek when in reality the story was different. In this particular video, this channel has deliberately cut out the part where Pacey spies on Joey changing her clothes. And it is only after watching Joey change her clothes that Pacey developed feelings for Joey and also kissed her. That isn't love. It is lust. Just for the sake of views, this channel manipulates the story of Dawson's Creek so that it can show the audience what it wants to show and in return get more views and subscribers. I have noticed that everything between Pacey and Joey gets fully covered by this channel when videos about them are made. But when it comes to Dawson and Joey or other characters, then important parts between them get cut out and the videos are made in a way as if things between the characters did not develope any further. I have noticed that in two videos that this channel uploaded, important kisses between Dawson and Joey were cut out. The kisses between them were important because it added and developed their storyline. Instead this channel deliberately cuts them out so that it can show us a different story. This is done deliberately so that this channel can appeal more to Pacey and Joey fans and get views and subscriptions from them. It makes me wonder whether this channel truly is a TV throwback to Dawson's Creek or to Pacey and Joey? If this channel is dedicated to Pacey and Joey, then what is the difference between this channel and other channels that post videos about Pacey and Joey? The way this channel behaves is as if it is trying to exploit the Pacey and Joey relationship and capitalize on it. This channel truly has fallen very low. I no longer have any respect for this channel. The fans of Dawson's Creek are the ones that give life to this channel. But only the Pacey and Joey storyline is the main focus of this channel from Dawson's Creek. The story of other characters and their development are not important to this channel - all for the sake of getting viewers and subscribers from just one fan base to maximize the fans of this channel. If my comment gets removed, than that will clearly show how low this channel can get.

Facts spoken bro. I've seen similar stuff on socials and even the new fans who binged the show in recent years are obsessed with Jacey and hate on Dawson for being on one end of a love triangle. Like it saddens me that majority of the fans aren't even real fans just shallow minded individuals who didn't get half of what the show displayed.
