You don't need to keep pushing it to one side when you fully rolled the egg in the pan. You can just roll it back and forth. This way by pushing it you will create more risk of the egg falling apart.
@@junglily I fail to see how I was judging her for folding it her way. I just stated that there is in fact a way for less experienced people to create less risky rolled eggs. I barely ever make tamagoyaki, but when I do it's the exact technique shown in the video. For beginners and people only now seeing it for the first time it would be easier to not move it over to one side as I was suggesting.
I like to tear the nori at different shape and size, place them randomly on the egg, then do the same process here (unless pushing the rolled egg to the other end) then when you cut into it, it'll make zebra 🦓 looked pattern which is so cute!
This is so satisfying to watch. I was watching Korean street food videos and there was one where they made this HUMONGOUS egg roll the way you did this, (except on a much bigger scale), and it was sooooo soothing! Lol You did a great job here! Nice job thinking to use a baking pan for the shape and high edges so you can make the egg roll as high as you like.👍😁

This will sound crazy but I’m super lazy and don’t have a dishwasher so I love making these in the oven. I use non stick foil and put whatever toppings I have on the beaten egg. The egg puffs up quite a bit but if you use non stick spray once it’s fully cooked just take out of the oven and roll it. I like using Ham Swiss cheese and green onion 😂

I have an honest question. Why do Asians add nori to everything ? I personally seen it in anything ranging from fruit to ice cream . It definitely doesn’t taste good in a lot of things like fruit and pudding . But why ? Why do Asians do that . Yes I can agree nori I delicious just not in everything .

What she doing is Japanese way of making omlette (called Dashi maki tamago).
I think she wanted to do it this way so that the nori made a nice spiral.
