Some real riding up in them hills boys! Glad yall got to see it. Haven't ridden it all, but some down on the Tenn side. Excited for the series. What our country's goof ball leadership has done to those parts of Kentucky and Tenn is really sad. Those places are struggling big time.
It definitely is. Riding a route like this alone on any bike wouldn't be a good idea. There were lots of places to get into trouble. I have gotten my big bike out of situations by myself but my back isn't up to the task quite yet.
Did the KAT a few years ago on little dual sport bikes. It gets better (worse?) over the next couple of days; rougher and muddier in spots. Also, Lynch, KY was a U.S. Steel company town that once held the world record for most tons of coal mined in a single day (42,000 tons). Benham (just next to Lynch) was a company town for International Harvester. The U.S. Steel mine (Portal 31) shut down in 1963 as production declined and the mine became too big to ventilate.
There is also a site near Cumberland that has a moon bow. My understanding its one of only a few places in the world that has a moon bow. I visited there in the 90's.
me and my buddy were looking at that trail, and we don't have the experience that you and timmy have, i think we'll skip that one for now lol, i ended up getting a 701 for harder stuff, i do not think i want to pick up the pan america in stuff like that LOL. those overlooks were beautiful!! and dude, that lawyer add made me laugh out loud!! 🤣 nothin wrong with staying in a hotel, i'm 56 lol

Good vid. Yeah in the backyard. Lynch at foot of Black Mtn. Did you fo Rt 160 across Blk Mtn from Appalachia? It's the highest mtn in KY near the big radar dome some 4300 ft. Feels good much cooler. You could have went 14 miles north on LST to Whitesburg and US 119. It's paved like the lower section. That middle part is tough so rocky. Not much fun on bike. Some good riding all over. Look forward to the next vid.
Thanks. We did take 160. We visit Natural Bridge SP in a later episode. Some of the rocky sections were fun and some not so much lol. You definitely live in a beautiful place with some great riding. Thanks and it should be edited and posted this Saturday at 9am ET.

That looks like some awesome adventure riding over there. Shame some asshole had to dump a load of crap in the middle of the forest 🤬 Look forward to the next episode 👍😀
Lynch Ky has population of 700 people, flood prone, hills funnel water and it’s a mess. Used to be a coal community, green agendas have wiped that place out. Same for all eastern Ky. Beautiful country, good people, great riding in eastern Ky. Logging roads, abandoned coal mines and curvy back roads. No industry there, so young people migrate out for work. I Enjoy your channel
I'm working that treadmill daily (just walking) ellipical for burning the mid-section. 3 miles daily and minutes on the treadmill. Desk jobs are brutal on the body. I think I'm a lot older than you 😆😂 🥱 ✌💪✌🙌 👍
I'm working construction mostly outdoors so no walking on a treadmill for me. My back is slowly getting stronger though so I'm thankful for that. Yes you are older than me 😁
It's all about give and take. A smaller bike might be better for actual trails but these are public roads. A smaller bike sucks on pavement and we ride everywhere we go. I've had my dirt bike riding days and these public roads wouldn't be any fun and way too easy on a dirt bike.
