I'm 72 years old and have a 2007 KLR 650 I ride with my 12.5 pound dog Jack. He rides standing on the gas tank which is covered with burlap. We mostly ride in the Daniel Boone NF. Your riding skills are Great! Mine are not so great. I enjoy watching your channel. I'm glad you're OK.
That Vanilla Sweet Creme Cold Brew is pretty good from the starbucks.............I blame my daughters for me to know that.............. I really do like your content and look forward to the new videos! Hopefully I can run into y'all sometime, I am planning on coming to the next Palmetto Rally.
The only reason I know any of the names is because of my daughter too 😂. Thanks. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Hopefully our paths will cross at some point.
It doesn't get any better than ridding your bike on back roads looking at what the good lord created, sitting out at night listening to mother natures music by the camp fire and eating some good ole mystery meat from Family Dollar. Hell Yeah!!! That's life right there.
Nice adventure! The Fire Maple stuff is really good, and they are always coming out with something new. Get their nesting kit with the 2 different sized sauce pans, skillet and kettle. That kettle is the best for boiling water!
@@TheBeardedGrump I have a stove like yours as well, but decided to try the stove with the remote canister. Game changer. Pots are no longer a foot above the table and if it is super cold out you can flip the canister over to get better flow to the burner. Got that from Fire Maple as well.
I see you got rid of the V-Strom, looks like your still searching. I still have mine, although with the new Kawasaki KLX 3.51 , I m gonna stay diversified, LOL, Rock on Brothers
I crashed on it just over 11 months ago and broke my back. The bike was damaged pretty badly so I sold it. I'm really liking the KTM 990 and Timmy still has his V-strom 1k so I'll always get to look at one lol.
Looks like you had a good time and that's what matters. I will say that I think such big bikes make it more difficult ultimately. I think a 650 is plenty, and allows you to enjoy the off-road portions more. I feel like the big adventure bikes out there are mostly street tourers that have replaced Goldwings with "more adventurous" aesthetics. Nothing wrong with that either. I just think an XR650L or DR650 does the off-road stuff better and does the on-road stuff nicely. We're beginning to see manufacturers target the midsize market better w/ things like the CFMoto MT450, and updated Himalayan.
We always have a good time. I have a lot of love for big adv bikes. When traveling to and from all the off road they just make riding more enjoyable. Especially when loaded down with camping gear.
Thanks for the feedback Patrick. My wife watched the video and gave me an idea for editing the 360 footage. Hopefully the next video turns out just a little bit better. 🤞
The guy riding on the wrong side of the road at 8:06 and his buddy coming within 6 inches of Timmy right after him made me so irrationally angry. It's stupid people like that who ruin it for everyone else.
Sometimes the best adventures are the ones that don't go to plan. Stay tuned for EP 2 coming soon.
Man, that 990 takes those gravel roads like a champ, unstoppable, glad you are out there riding!
It definitely does. Thanks man. It feels good to feel halfway "normal" again.

That's awesome that you get out and ride with your dog and even better to still be getting out there at 72! Thanks on both accounts. 👊
dude i like the 360!! gives you some good other views!! like to see Timmy back there gettin it done also
Thanks. Hopefully I'll get better with it with more time.
The best adventures are when the plan doesn’t go to according to plan!!!
I agree
Looks like an awesome ride as usual. Just bought a 07 V Strom this weekend. Wish me luck😅

I couldn't agree more. Now I have a new name for Salisbury steak "mystery meat" 🤣
All plans change on execution…heh, heh…an old infantry mantra. Stay safe and have fun…from east Tennessee.
That's a good way to put it lol. I love east Tennessee because it's beautiful and my wife grow up there
I enjoyed your video. Very entertaining
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching and commenting. 👊
That was awesome Greg. P. S have a shot of that whisky for me 😁
Thanks! I don't drink but I'll tell Timmy to take a shot for you 😉👊

Thanks. I really like the Fire Maple stove. I've seen a few of their products I would like to try.

@@rolandwheeler4842 I like that one too. I might have to give it a try at some point
I could almost taste that grape soda!!! Good one here boys. Def could hear Timmy loud and clear now!!
They are delicious. Thanks man. Thanks for the feedback back on the audio. 👊
@@TheBeardedGrump yes sir!

Great content. Glad you're liking the new camera equipment.
Thanks Jake. I'm liking it but it is going to take some time to figure out when and when not to use it.
Another great video! enjoyed watching
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching and commenting. 👊💥
That was a nice road. Took a bit of figuring it out with the wife’s CB500x.
One day I’ll have a bike with suspension.
Having a bike with good suspension is a game changer.

Good to see you boys out on the trails again. Those "steaks" looked pretty sketchy....should've been having the special Timmy Burger instead 👍
It's good to be back out there. Those are the poor boy steaks 😂. Timmy burgers would have been much better.
Came hear Timmy well! I like the 360 footage!!

Got that purple drank
ehhhh I just did this route as well
It's a fun one
How well did the bug repellent device work for you?
It worked great. it covered around 15 feet or so on the medium setting. I put the product link in the description if you want to check it out.
Vienna Sausages are the best.
I agree

We said the exact same thing but I couldn't put that conversation on the video
Please don't say baby heads. Say doll heads.. it not a big deal. But... it feels totally different
Now that you say it it does feel different 😂
Real Adventure riders don't drink anything from Starbucks.
I couldn't agree more. We were making fun of it. I would never pay 7+ Dollars for a coffee
