I also know of at least 3 new reviewers that have either taken down their channel or videos due to similar situations. My husband and I sat here and cracked up while having our coffee. I like how they arent bothered by your video but ask you to take it down. I like how you went on and broke down the entire color and styles. So there! Your right Marlene Ive seen alot of posts on Facebook from buyers who have compared their wigs especially Showgirl to Riley and Willow to Vamp with picture comparisions. Of course its well known and said by many who makes Mane Attraction.. and many retailer reps have said its made by Henry Margu. IN FACT I want to know why they dont make a budget friendly red in Mane Attraction. Anyway, you be true to yourself. I bet this was just a snarky employee of Henry Margu who wrote you. In the long wrong, it really is funny (sad?) how some of these brands have a sense of entitlement thinking they can tell reviewers what to say on our channels. I wish I could say that it was a snarky employee, but it was actually the CEO ( he's Henry Margu's grandson. I met him a while back and he talked about how it was his grandmother that actually started the company then his grandfather expanded it) that sent the email. Hi Kathy! LOL, yep. they overstepped. Regal is similar but doesn't have the layers we find in Athena. Regal is also very low density and no permatease whatsoever. The styles are similar as far as the over all cut, but the they are not the same as we find in Riley & Showgirl. xoxo

I don't know what to say about this. I am really surprised they would ask you to remove your video. I can understand having two or more different brands (divisions) under one umbrella corporation or company and that they would be totally separate as that happens alot in my world. But to reach out and ask you to remove a comparison video is really surprising. I like Henry Margu a lot and have reviewed a few of their wigs. They actually were the 1st big wig company that offered to provide me with products to review and I am a wig nobody but they somehow found me and reached out. Thank you Marlene for all of your reviews. I come to you because of your honesty and I would be of the mindset if I were a manufacturer, that if someone liked a style by one of my brands but it was too expensive, I would appreciate any direction given by someone like yourself, to one of my other brands, even if it was a more affordable piece (less money to the manufacturer), as opposed to the customer going to a completely different manufacturer/brand altogether. Bravo, Marlene! You are all professional, and yes, never bash any company. What nerve Henry Margu had, sending you that email. I love your reviews, watch them all the time; you always give the information needed, to help make decisions. A consumer can do as they please, on their own RUclips channel. There are those RUclipsrs, that must be careful what they say, since they are beholden to a company. However, you do not have to, and HM, needs a wake-up call, that they cannot go around coercing anyone into taking down a video, they do not like, that is the property of another. Shame on them!

On the contrary, most reputable retailers will ask for honest reviews in order to help keep returns to a minimum. I have never agreed with bashing a company. It seems like I have seen other wig reviewers compare the two brands and styles and point out that both are made by Henry Margu. Very well stated and I understand your anger. I must say that I have been a big fan of both HM & MA wigs. And they are the only wig company that did not double their prices after COVID-19. I've long wanted to try a HM because I hear their fibers are soft and the lace melts. However, I didn't find a color that worked for me until you mentioned a couple cool brunettes that I thought, "Yes, I could try those". Well, after this "review" of your HM email, I'm not going to even consider a HM or Mane Attraction. Will I miss them? Not likely. Would I miss your Marlene? Most definitely. You Go Girlfriend!

To diminish costly mistakes, I think it's helpful to watch as many reviews as possible and see what we each have to say especially regarding the features that are most important to the wearer. Since we purchase online, we don't have the option to try the wigs on. It's also helpful to read through the return policy of each retailer. WOW what a nerve Henry Margu has. They don’t want any comparison between the brands because they want you to buy the more expensive brand. You have always presented our community with excellent reviews and great suggestions for wigs in all price ranges. You just keep doing the great work you do. Many of us going through hairloss don't have deep pockets and appreciate you helping us save a few bucks here and there. And as exactly as you mentioned why do a budget friendly line if you don't want people to buy from it??? Makes zero sense! Any money HM will now consider pulling the Mane Attraction line from the shelves.

Thank You! It's nice to have someone with an actual voice in the community who stands up for us all. I've put a cap on how much I will spend on any one wig. This allows me to purchase more wigs and have a greater variety of colors and styles. Thus, Mane Attraction fits into my price cap and I like the styles and quality. If they didn't make this line they wouldn't get purchases from me or others like myself at all. They've behaved as though Mane Attraction owners have a reason to feel shame because we didn't buy Henry Margu. I feel a bit more shameful for considering a higher priced purchase of Henry Margu now that I know they tried to buy your voice. Again, thank you for standing up!

Marlene, in my two years of buying hair, I have spent thousands on styles that do not work on me. The wig journey has been costly because I haven’t *seen* myself for years. And you made total sense in regards to the parent company that you mentioned, HAIRDO, which brands under other names. I'm not sure why they're asking you to do this. Why does it matter to them? I've bought both Henry Margu and Mane Attraction wigs. Knowing that Mane Attraction is the budget line hasn't changed my buying habits at all. I'll continue to buy from both labels. They're both affordable compared to some other brands.
