Mr Bigglesworth, I warn people that as soon as they get their first pair, they'll be hooked forever. The only negative is their short lifespan. Regular grief is part of owning rats, and there have been times when I've thought "I can't keep doing this." But I keep doing it. 😂

That ratties make me smile☺ Marshmellow remind me Njura. Shura and Njura was two sisters black-white colour. Njura take away food of Shura alwais and she was fatter her sister and braver. But Shura was qwicker and lovig. Njura was my love, I admired her for a strong haracter.
And of course poor Marshmallow kept thinking he was running off with the corn but only getting the husk (he is a husky little boy, after all ;-) - you know he was thinking “Aw, shucks...’” (Sorry, I cant help all the puns - it’s a-maize-ing how corny my sense of humor is...)
Thanks for this video ! Reminds me of a time when I gave some corn on the cob (cut into smaller cobs) to my two rats. Jellybean stayed by the plate to eat it, and I thought Nugget would do that same. Then she suddenly took a cob in her mouth and zipped away with it towards the back of my bed!! I have video footage and you can hear the moment of shock in my sister's voice 😂 favourite memory of the rats

Do you have any picky rats one of mine refuses to eat any fresh veggies or fruits She even refuses treats like rice puffs Is this something she'll out grow the others are basiclaly garbage disposals..
One of my past rats Sonic was like this, she’d have to try foods several times in order to deem it safe enough to eat more than a lick and even then she wasn’t a fan of most foods (liquid stuff tended to be a big hit though). In my younger girls case they wouldn’t eat anything but Oxbow for almost an entire week but I just kept offering them new foods from my fingers (I find rats are more likely to accept foods that way) and after they tried several foods many times they started to just eat whatever I offered. It’s also possible you just have a picky rat, I’d say the biggest encouragement rats can get to eat new foods is from their cagemates so if her cagemates aren’t picky and she’s been with you for a while she might just be less food oriented.

In my experience bonded rats won’t fight to hurt over food, they may squeak or drag it away from each other but they’ll never get violent over food itself!
I know this is an old video and you may have already learned this, but because I didn't see anyone else mention it in the comments here - a lot of people don't know that gy**ed is actually a slur, related to the g-word used for Romani people, which is also a derogatory term. It's actually an exonym, which is a term imposed upon an ethnic group by outsiders. The Roma people originated in Northern India, but when they were first displaced in I believe the 11th century(?) and began to move westward toward Europe they were mistaken as being from Egypt, which is where the terms come from. Distrust and discrimination against the Roma people is still a very big problem today, and terms like those don't help. It's also totally fine to have not known! I just mention it so that you know for the future :) for a long time I didn't know either.
Umm...he doesn't? All the rats have perfectly normal eyes, maybe you saw some porphyrin (basically red rat mucous). Its not uncommon to see some on their nose or eyes before they groom it off.
I gave my rats chicken bones for the first time the other day, and the next morning, *no trace* they were gone! like i knew it would happen but it’s crazy and also kinda scary

My rats LOVE. corn. I give them a frozen medley and they will fight over the bowl until all the corn is gone and then just leave the rest....

My donna always leaves with the leaves first too... after a while i got it. She in charge of possible nesting material. They just loved it cooked tho
