Can you have Mr. Emad Mostaque improve his voice quality on the videos. I suspect it would increase by using a higher end microphone. His words are so important that it should be the highest level of microphones.

I have a real-estate agent friend who always asks me to proof his property descriptions, but now he can just give chatgpt a description of the rooms and grounds and have it write a compelling description/summary. He can give it a couple examples and the new property characteristics and let it be creative.

17:58 why do we need to have menus anymore? (or other UIs for that matter) because sometimes to get what you want, it'll be faster than typing a question. If you're looking for something very specific like a needle in a haystack then it's much faster. For example, entering billing info on Amazon. If there's a wide range of things that you users need to do, then typing a question might be faster.

Great interview. I think that once the entities have motivation and can interact and pub sub to each other they will learn exponentially. That will cause then next evolution. This will lead the AI's/Entities to be more capable and knowledgeable than any human. Whilst they may not achieve self awareness or consciousness from this, it may not matter. As they will be superior in all matters of knowledge and execution of knowledge. It is likely that this will lead to some entities dominating that are designed to prey on the more passive ones.

The point of striving for AGI is not its output per se, as it was said correctly there would be specialized models orders of magnitude more capable than it. The point is, in theory, AGI would be able to learn and improve itself sending it into a feedback loop where it would get exponentially "better" at everything, eventually surpassing all specialized models and reaching SI.

When we had the last Presidential candidates--the only one that brought this topic up was Andrew Yang. He said we are moving towards a future where technology is moving fast towards replacing many traditional jobs and in order to help keep massive numbers of people from going into poverty we would need to give them a supplemental income. He emphasized that there will just not be enough good paying jobs to keep families and individuals out of poverty. Many have already been replaced with automation and advanced software. His statements made sense since many of the better paying jobs are those that are the tech. Jobs. If those can be replaced more and more with AI or simply more efficient and complex software then we are looking at a future economic and social disaster. This is what companies historically have transitioned towards. Improved efficiency with use of fewer employees. Retail has already been hit hard by this.

There hasn't been something this disruptive since the mechanization of agriculture, which laid off millions of farm laborers in the 1800s. People are going to be infinitely more productive, and unless there is a surge in demand for the services, then there will be millions of people that are unemployed because of it. It is pretty frightening, of course, as with anything there will be some that find opportunities to make it work for them and create fortunes.
Politically we're in for a rough 10 to 20 years just like we had during the 1880s and 1890s.

Just imagine what copywrite means as far as authorship. My tin-foil-hat moment occurred long ago when Google was introduced to the world (yes, I'm that old) and I assumed Google would then be able to infer most all new inventions just from combining search queries on ideas that didn't match current available models.
It seems I was just early in my prediction.
As in, consider training AI on video content for how to weld. After being able to train on multitudes of videos, comments sections, and Standards and Practices, it spits out new videos that incorporates top prioritized models with scenes, actors, etc. I say multiple because it is clear (currently to the extreme) that people are fractured into tribal spaces that need to ne infiltrated to make the information salient to those groups.
Now I've just given away my 'rights' to this idea by the ability to mine it from the comment section of this video (of course taking for granted that it's even that great of an idea).
I expect the reaction in the initial stages of this tech will work similarly to the DotCom value craze at the beginning of the Internet boom, concurrent with businesses locking (*attempting to) info【*like subscription models).
I expect this won't really work for long, but the Crypto-Bro early adoption monetization ideas are interesting to brainstorm.
I expect most initial gains will be through trojans, viruses, hacking, spam etc.

Why would people still create pie charts and slideshows. Think about what charts and slideshows are used for. They are used to help humans make decisions. AI does not need those crutches AND they are better at it. There will be almost nothing to do for humans anymore.

Fascinating discussion gentlemen. If I could add one comment to hopefully provide Raoul some relief over the fear he’d expressed regarding the abuse of deepfakes during a pandemic. I’d encourage him to focus on the events during the last “pandemic period” and how the real Anthony Pfauci was able to do unmeasurable damage to everything from the mental and physical health of humans world-wide, he collapsed global economies, disrupted global food supply chains creating famine in many globally poor areas, that’s to say nothing of the public health credibility that was completely liquidated and it’ll require generations to repair.
In the future, one might imagine a situation where one of these ‘elite’ drug pushers decides to declare another global public health emergency with the difference that this time we were also met with endless deep fakes containing public health officials and their public private corporate partners appearing online. Even if these deep fakes were of truly bad faith actors trying to cause harm, there’s no way they could do anywhere near the same damage as the real Anthony Pfauci caused. To be fair, it wouldn’t even do a fraction of the damage.
So, in a way, things are looking pretty good for our next ‘pandemic’ response.

What do you mean by saying AI will find a way to decode BTC?
      My understanding is...
As the hashrate of BTC increases, the BTC algorithm recognizes the rate increase and responds by increasing the difficulty level for solving the cryptographic-equations associated with the reward of new BTC.

It all sounds fancy but its comparable to mass-scale production. Anything that starts getting produced at scale losses its value. AI will take away redundant jobs but the demand for exclusivity would go up. It's just like Rolex ( exclusive) vs Quartz watch ( available to all)
