The UC300 is a wonderfully engineered assembly. Unfortunately, the documentation for it is absolutely horrible. Thank you for providing this video. From all indications my system should work.
@@rickeymh Thank you very much. I have everything configured I just need to configure the index. So I can make threads on the lathe. I just wanted someone to tell me how to configure the input port and pin. I've tried everything but I can't

Hello there I have problem with my uc300 It’s connected to mach3 but when i click on config plugins i can see the digital dream is connected but when i press config ..model shows ( unknown) it should be shown model (UC300 ) Is there any usb drive should i install or any solution should i follow to fix this? Thanks
Hey! Really appreciate your videos. I'm having endless trouble getting my CNC machine up and running. I have a UC300. Is it required to have 32 bit windows 7 installed on the device? I am connecting a usb to printer cable (into the UC300 female printer cable end) and it's not recognising it as a device. I have installed the digital dream .dll plugin (digital dream is the brand of my UC300). I have iHSV47 Servo motors and got the Ultimate Bee kit. I have been trying for months and would love some help. I'm open to getting steppers instead or a totally different controller. Could you offer any advice? Thanks again.
Your dark screen would not load up on Mach3 100% could there be an issue with it? I'll i got was a dark screen with a flashing green block, no text or buttons. I just purchased Mach3 July9.
I cant connect to my PC to the same UC300 model you're using. When I get to the point where you plug the UC300 into the USB port my PC doesn't recognize the USB device and I cannot find a driver for this controller. Have you ran into this issue or do you know of any fixes for this?
just setup my uc300 with mach3 and been getting a issue with DRO where it is fluctuating random values intermittently, thus causing issues with homing, anyone else expeience this issue and possible fix, pevious bob controller i was using was fine and didnt have this issue.
Great tutorial, have an issue with limit switches, nothing showing in mach3, seen you put all 3 black together and put in com on uc300 controller, and each red wire in inp3, inp4 and inp5. what are the wires on the switches?? black on C terminal?? if so red then goes beside it or farthest away from the c terminal, i am confused on that. please help.
Thank you so much for the videos! I have followed all the steps, e-stop works, limits work sbut the motors do not move with the cursors. I have an ultimabe bee but i have 3N.M CloseLoop Motor... does it change anything in the mach3 configuration for using this kind of motors? thank you very much in advance!!!
Cia, I need help. I found that the 2 motors A and Y are not synchronized in motion. The engine A part before the more Y. I don't understand why. I have UC 300 as controller and Mach3. I have configured Motor Outputs as you explained. The stepper was tested as follows: 1 off, 2on, 3off, 4off, 5on, 6 off,. Was wrong! How can I solve. Thank you
I'm struggling with getting my uc300 to work properly. It won't connect to my laptop correctly. It seems to freeze up and the plugin doesn't recognize it. Any advice on spots to research this or guidance from you?
Jason, a successful connection to your driver will cause the green LED on the controller to illuminate. If this LED toggles off and on I would suspect your cable.
Josh, At approximately the 3:00 minute mark you open the motor outputs and set Step Pin and Dir Pins. What exactly do these pins do ? I have never put any values into these areas and I don't see any change when I do enter the values as you show. When I watched your video to setup the Workbee, approximately at 2:42 you said that these pins were not needed with the USB controller?
Hey Dave, With the nvum controller I don't belive they can be changed as they are hard-coded In the dll plug-in. The uc300 these need to be set. That is my understanding anyway.
@@IllDoItMyself I have the UC3oo controller and I have never set these pins. SO I am now wondering what I have been missing ? It doesn't appear to make any difference with or without these values.
Hi! Can you please explain the reason you put 300 steps per unit in motor tuning? You really should've explain the steps per unit in more detail and provide instructions how to calculate them depending on microstep setting. If wrong steps per unit is set then mach will output wrong DRO's
Again, thank you for this video. Do you have any recommendations on setting up for a VFD? I used your VFD cheat sheet for my 1.5kW 220VAC water cooled spindle and although I can operate it using the amplifier keypad interface, I can't seem to get it to work with the UN300 and Mach3. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
excellent video friend, I have a question, what is the configuration for the communication of the vdf huanyang and the uc300 tango board in the vfd and configuration of mach3
Honestly no. I have used even the simplest of cncs and understanding by building makes them easier to operate in my opinion. We have some good facebook groups that get people up and running when they hit an issue. It just takes a bit of patience and willing to learn.
@@IllDoItMyself Im very interested in purchasing but i need to think first about what to make to turn this into a small business im From UK and people here dont want to spend much on products so i need to look into that i think

Thanks for the videos. Followed all and amazingly the machine functions. A+ work, guys.

..one hell of a video. Thanks a lot.
Cleared all my doubts. I hope.
And please share if you have anymore cool modern looking screen sets. Btw
Have you tried the one modified by physics anonymous?

Make sure your axis is slaved and make sure in motor tuning it has the same numbers in steps per, velocity and acceleration.

Hello and thanks for the video.
Why is not recommended to control VFD and Spindle from the UC300 ?
Nothing wrong with doing this. I just preffer to use USB RS485 as you get much more accurate rpm control and its only costs $4.
What about soft limit settings
Thank you for the videos.
Please, Can you share your configuration for the spindle?
Check my other videos I have the full vfd configuration!
