I’m a big Steely fan since 1975, Since you’re a new listener to Steely Dan my I suggest that before you start your podcast, do some research on the band it self. I realize the point you want to capture is your first time hearing the song. I love that! But maybe find out who the band members are before your first listen. Who's playing the instruments? Some of the best musicians on the planet. But it's also what they're playing. Donald and Walter were in charge of that. Also, the mixing and engineering is so clean, you could eat off of it. There are dozens of tracks, some barely loud enough in the mix to hear. But with all that traffic, you can hear the tiniest detail in every one of them.
