Great video. Great shots and great editing. You make me want to move back to the country and plant a bigger garden. Please make more videos of your farm🙏🏼
Thank you SO much! Definitely have a lot of farming videos planned, since it's my real job after all and can't film much else on other topics while driving tractors. I've got at least 2 other farming related videos filmed, just need to sit down and edit em!
That's cool as hell! How many acres? We only have like... one old black walnut tree in our entire area that I can think of. Will they be for nuts or for wood purposes?
@@NorthWindAerial The magnetic field's lines of force exit the magnet from its north pole & enter its south pole & the north pole is attracted to the south pole which is how they come together. Break the field & break the pull
Next year we're also adding in a 2nd line of drip and will be burying it in the furrows next to the tree lines so the water gets more spread out as the trees grow.
@dalesuhre6522 we've had a lot of issues with the Bennets in one of our other orchards that we're really hoping don't show up in our new one we just planted. Ideally we'll be able to harvest both varieties together or at least close. Most of our orchards are 1/4 Monterey, and they're great pollinators and heavy producers, but God they harvest so late in the year. It's been quite tough getting them in lately.
@NorthWindAerialImaging the only issue I have seen so far on the Bennetts is what I would call a delayed leafing. It looks like Bud failure, but by May you can't tell the difference between them. It seems to be just the prior years growth that is affected.
We've got a lot of organic material already in the soil to slow release fertilizer from the old orchard, which was ground up and spread around the 2 years prior to planting.
@@NorthWindAerial that is good, also you can just spray applicate or spread it around on top. should help improve the soil quality a lot which'll probably get you increased yield

Thanks for this video, I’m about to start planting black walnut in middle TN😁

13:24 magnetic magnets 😂
Magnets, how do they work?

Next year you'll stagger the drip line so you don't have to circle around to set the next row.

Hey you washed your face Tm! 😆
Are these milk almonds or regular almonds?
Regular! Half Non-Pareil, half Bennet. Soft shell varieties for easy hulling and shelling so less nuts get broken in the process.
@@NorthWindAerialThat's a good combination. I had hoped to harvest mint at same time, but the Bennetts are ready 3 weeks later.

you missed a good opportunity to put biochar along with the trees
