Due to their incredible gold medal performance at the historic 2023 World Combat Games in Riyadh, Alyssa and Rhichein were also selected to be part of the Muaythai World Demonstration Team at the 2023 Royal World Cup Soft Power Muaythai Festival in Bangkok at the iconic Icon Siam and this year they once again have been selected to be a part of the Muaythai World Demonstration Team in Paris to showcase the art and cultural heritage of Muaythai during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Muay Boran, a term for hand-to-hand combat or self-defense in muaythai, traditionally fought with rope bindings on the hands (Kad Chuek), has evolved to include both demonstrations and full-contact matches.
IFMA proudly includes Mai Muay Muaythai as a full medal sport, celebrating the rich heritage and skill of this ancient martial art.
