@@VictorGonzalez-xs9oc it is. i was scared to. Even when i played it last time with age 12. The soundtrack and design of the monster are like a horro movie. My nemesis was the fridge level. I never finished the game. Fucking ugly forks and spoons which fly and attack you. I am now 35 and think 2x every week of this game and i am still creeped out by it :D
i have such fond memories of this game as a child. i had a big stupid grin on my face watching this. my favorite levels to explore were always the robin hood one and the pink lemonade one.
Watching the video, I noticed the levels are very, very short - I mean, he beat the entire game in 20 minutes! That would make the game pretty easy. The challenge comes from the awful controls and unaccurate hitboxes. That simple fact makes the game near impossible and frustrating. I remember loving it as a kid, but as an adult, it's just bad. It's either super hard due to the controls, or you learn how to get around those issues and then it becomes so easy you cam beat it the whole game 20 minutes. That being said, I still praise the visuals and music; as well as the level design -while short, the labyrinthic levels give it an edge and shows some creativity and true challenge. It makes me feel like the developers did put their love to it and that the project turned out like that was because of time constraints or honest inexperience rather than laziness and not caring.
Oh man, I had this game on my SNES when I was little!! The Pink Panther strikes again! What movie set will he sabotage next? Nobody knows. I remember having quite a bit of fun with this one, namely regarding how wacky the settings could get. Like at one point you go inside a giant fridge, then go through a whole level inside a turkey, fighting wish bones and meatballs. Crazy! In another you swim through giant glasses of lemonade. The soundtrack is also quite good, and I have fond memories of the Robin Hood level too.
I had multiple Pink Panther VHS tapes back in the day and just remembered there being a commercial for this game on one of them, so I came to RUclips looking for that.
I guess if Cool Spot could go Hollywood why not the Pink Panther? Its nice to see a licensed game from a smaller studio that isn't total garbage. Sometimes the biggest presents can come in the smallest, pinkest packages I guess.
I really wanted to love this game as a kid but it was such a confusing game. No clues, no objectives, no sense of direction, no linearity. I was confused AF and gave up.
That was an issue with a lot of western made games of that time, no clear direction of where to go in stages, instead they gave you loads of convoluted messy maze like stages. Not every game made in the west part of the world did this, but games like Aladdin on the Genesis, and both Earthworm Jim games for any platform suffered mess like this. Platforms you could jump on blended in with the games backgrounds, and places you look like you can't go, but had to to finish a stage were part of the problem of games like these. This is why, still to this day, I prefer Japanese made platformers, they pretty much made it quite easy to tell where you are supposed to go, and still find hidden areas to get items, in stages.
As kid but even till age of 12 i never finished this game. On my 50 tries of beginning from scrath I only made it till the fridge level where everyhting else was clear. Even the stupid under water and hardcore wood forest level i cleared. I dont know maybe other levels i missed but the fridge level with the fruits and the forkkkksssss which fly and attack and the chicken omg too hard Demon Souls is nothing compared to pink panther
lol i never knew there were special items lol of course i loose and cant beat the big boss enemies. And i didnt know i can kill fruits, potatoes and swiming lemons with my spray. I always tried to dodge them lol. lol i never knew this. even the dust in texs level you can kill by spraying. everyhting And i play this as kid and teenager by dodging and only thought i can kill real enemies like animal and human with the spray OMEGA LUL
You Sega fanboys are ridiculous, you aren't even funny. Super Nintendo can have a nice chocolate candy bar on it, and the Genesis could have a nice turd on it, and each and everytime you'd reach for, and eat the turd. Because the turd happened to be on a system you like. The SNES version's music nailed the feel of the music from the TV show (the Genesis version used the GEMS soundfont, automatically sounding like absolute shit), and had a much better color palette, both versions play the exact same, and the games are not as good as people make it out to be.
@@Bloodreign1 ah yes! The classic condescending comment for no reason on a year old opinion post. Never gets old. It's amazing to me that you have a come back many paragraphs long to a very benign comment. Some people had genesis when they were small children and so it's nostalgic. Also I was trolling 😂 🤣 😅 😆 😐
@@josephroberts2555 You were trying to troll people with a benign comment? 🤨 It's a consistent thing I've seen with Sega diehards over the years that many are still angry about the old 16-bit wars for some reason. It can make conversations annoyingly combative and illogical. One of them once confessed to me that he was teased by Nintendo fans as a kid over having a Master System instead of a NES, so it really does seem to be personal in some cases. I never had a Master System, but I was fortunate to have Genesis and SNES, so it's whatever to me. SNES is my favorite in part because I'm a big RPG guy, but if you prefer Genesis because you're more of an arcade style action guy, that's fair enough. Both were great consoles overall.
@megavolt67 I'm actually not a Sega die hard and don't remember the 16 bit War nor do I subscribe to either side post war. I didn't have a Sega until 1995 and I was 6. This game's soundtrack is godlike. SNES chip delivers awesome sounds when properly used.
The Pink Panther thoroughly surprised me. I was expecting something completely awful, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. And that soundtrack! :)
Request : Pink Goes To Hollywood Sega Genesis
As a kid I never stood a chance beating this game but I still had lots of fun killing enemies with the dog and bowling ball haha that was funny

I still have this game on the SNES, but I wish they'd add this for the Nintendo Switch, so I can play it on the modern TV.
You mean the flat screen TV.
@@VictorGonzalez-xs9ocYeah. I hooked up the old SNES to my TV anyway and played it.
I've actually installed this game on my SNES Mini.
They used the Richard Williams Inspector, yet they used Sgt. Deux Deux! Impressed at that.
This game is difficult AF

The fridge level is brilliant with the sub-levels it has. The stuffed turkey, the lemonade, and finally the freezer. It was a very fun level to play.
After 30 years I finally see the end to this game🎉
Same.
It's kind of amazing how different the sega and SNES version of this game are
the pink panther is a classic legend.
