Definitely was, since this was after stage 3 which just improved on 1 and 2, this was a full revamp on new hardware and probably a new game engine, it makes sense that the real improvements weren’t seen until then
after version 3 it became these annoying engine redlining bumps and super agressive swings to simulate "drift" when in version 3 you had to fiddle with the gears a bit to get the angle going instead of just choosing how much turn you put on the wheel
I had played Extreme Stage, I have it on PS3 and I brought it, if I go for local arcades, that ID4 arcade had brake is broken, it won't go fast, it keeps braking and accelerating.

I used to play Extreme Stage so much on the PS3 since the cabs at my local arcades always had something broken on them.
after playing stage 6-8, stage 4 looks downright bland by comparison

Completely agree man. I'm lucky enough though to have an arcade near me that has version 3 at it. The card readers still work too lol.
Jeez, stage 3 really pain in the ass thanks to understeer handling. Gear shift up and down is the only way to enjoy the game. Horrible.
where should i buy the card ?

Extreme stage is the ps3 version of stage 4. Stage 4 is the one with the moving cars you get into.
