Known as the Sazae-san town, Sakura Shimmachi has some of the latest blooming cherry blossoms in Tokyo. Full bloom for this variety of sakura typically comes 1-2 weeks after the full bloom of the more popular varieties more commonly found in larger parks. This variety has many more pedals, all bunched together, and comes in a wide variety of vibrant colors.
