Wet molding leather can be very helpful to create very smooth holsters, sheaths and pockets. But wet molding doesn’t stop there, as there are many different reasons to wet mold leather to create very nice shapes. These molds will harden the leather and keep shape for a long time.
-There are two popular ways to wet form: by hand and with a 2-piece mold. The first method, by hand, is literally forming the leather around something with a bonefolder, while using a second method, a 2-piece mold, presses down the leather for you. ... You can use any veg tanned leather to wet form.

Vegetable tanned leather refers to the tannage, or method of tanning the cowhide into leather. It's called “vegetable” because of the natural materials used in the tanning process like tree bark. Since vegetable tanning is a natural process, it's also eco-friendly.

My I ask what name brand of paint and dye that you use . Iam new to marking things out of leather and not to sure that Iam using my paints right or something more I have to do to them because they just don’t look right on them my leather after I’m done painting them. Yes I’m using vegetable tan leather. Thanks for the great videos. Keep up the good work I enjoy watching your videos.

I use leather dyes, I get them from local tanners. I would suggest you to use alcohol based permanent dyes for better results. Fiebings is a good brand for leather dyes.
