I wish more people could understand the beauty and complexity of this piece. Absolutely stunning work of art. Bravo to whoever crafted this. Impressive is an understatement
This is perhaps the most beautiful mechanical art work I have ever seen or ever will see. MAGNIFICENT.
Check this out ;)...

6 13 20 Hey @@vibemunster, Thanks for the interesting link; most of the time "links" in comment threads are nonsense. Stay safe, keep calm, & be well. v
@@virginiatyree6705 Its my favourite documentary ;)
The Astro skeleton is better but this is very good 👍
Fantastic and one of my favourite pieces of music.
What an incredible work of art......absolutely stunning, just leaves me in awe of the craftsmanship involved in making this.
This is a real jaw-dropper! It makes me ashamed of thinking I have any talent. I don't think most people have any idea just how much skill and brilliance it took to make this.
I just... I don't even have the words to describe it! I FELT IN LOVE WITH THIS MASTERPIECE!! I WANT TO BUY IT!! EVEN IF IT COSTS 10000000 AND MORE ZEROS!!
It's too bad I can only give one like! :(
that is the most beautifulest work of mechanical engineering I ever seen in my life!!!.
Absolutely amazing!
This is so amazing it got me all choked up,lol WOW
This is genius. Took me some time to work out all the gearing, especially on the central hub whereby the arms are rotating at their relative rates whilst maintaining the constant rate of the brass/bronze gears. Very clever, using diminishing diameter internal sleeves I believe. Off to make one as soon as the gear cutters arrive. Hats off to designers and makers this beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing, just subscribed.
O.....M.....G. thats so beautiful. amazing piece of art and craftsdmanship :) love it.
Absolutely stunning
whoever created this Mechanical Marvel is a supreme genius.
OMG! So beautiful! Нет слов, браво!
Master piece from Derek Staines !
Amazing and BRILLIANT
Absofrigginlutely incredible!!!
Brilliant work!
that only thing that comes to mind. BRAVO!
Beautiful
What an incredible piece of artwork. Although there may be some slight errors in it's design, the overall beauty of it over shadows all of those issues. Stunning!
Incredible miracle
j'adore, merci pour la video
amazing piece!
Amazing! I wish I had one!
wonderful wonderful wonderful
I.. love it so much
Brilliant!
OMG I want to build one of these, or @ least buy one, that is absolutely gorgeous!
Fantastic pice of engineering. just brilliant
I LOVE THIS !!!!!
Awesome. I really want to build one myself i just wouldn't know where to start, loving the miniature time machine too lol
Triton in retrograde orbit! impressive!
Absolutamente asombroso me encanta
wow even all the little moons
nice
EPIC!
Vorrei capire chi ha messo i commenti negativi, è un'opera d'arte!
very nice...
6 13 20 Hey Jeff Chow, Wow, lucky you! Terrific post of a fantastic orrery; some people are very mechanically talented. It seems as though it's run by some type of fuel/energy. Thanks for the post. Stay safe, keep calm, & be well. v
Beautiful and entertaining art piece - I love its intricacy. The work is identified as the “The Orrery of Professor Jules Verne.” On the upper level’s back left corner sits the Time Machine as realized for the 1960 film, The Time Machine, which was originally written by H.G. Wells. Jules Verne was borne in 1828; H.G. Wells was born in 1866. For Verne to have Wells’ Time Machine proves that the Time Machine actually works!
its everything I ever wanted in one thing
C'est absolument magique.
Le descriptif techniques ou les plans sont-ils disponibles? Si oui où
Merci encore pour cette sublime production.

I made two of these this morning, one works in reverse.
Complimenti

Yeah I am a steampunk at heart an this appeals bigtime. I wish it was in MYcollection
I had no idea the Earth spun so quickly in relation to other planets. It's very beautiful and I want one really badly!
Fernanda Vergara it is also not to scale. the distances are vast between the planets, even earth to the moon is quite far. 1 day on Mars is 25 or 26 hours, so the spin is not that extreme in comparison. I think venus spins faster, and Mercury is almost locked with the sun like the moon is with earth due to proximity and in the case of the moon due to it being spun out of the pacific ocean after a great collision 4.6 billion years ago.
Гениально !!!
Who doesn't like an Orrery, the next one will need the moons of Pluto added.
Cool 😁😁
I have to ask is this something you can purchase and from whom?
Hi Jeff can i use parts of the video for my steampunk assignment please?
Why is the Time Machine in there? H.G. Wells wrote that book, not Verne.
It is a fictional concept. Jules Verne built this orrery using technology available at the time and in this fictional scenerio Jules Verne and HG Wells were friends so Wells time machine is in the display and is also why Verne is showcasing his pet dinosaur that was given as a gift by Wells. In real life of course Wells and Verne despised each other. Goofy and unique. I still love it!
that is so beautiful, it had to set you back a nice chunk of change. i dont care it is gorgeous and i want one. do they come in only one size?
You can get the orrery but not the base...
genial der Erbauer!
nice
beutyful :)
When I see the human figure there, I want to see a life size version.
where do i buy it?
Wow....
god you even have the moons of each planet . who made this ?
You used the Genesis orrery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg
@blazinblue777 To our knowledge, the client had this custom build, and it's the only one in existence. The big barrel is supposed to represent a steam assembly. Also unfortunately we are not allowed to disclose how my the client paid for the orrery.
6 13 20 Hey Jeff Chow, I guess it's "If I tell you, well, then I'd have to kill you". Whoever has the orrery, I hope they enjoy playing with it. It's nice people can see it's beauty on your channel. Stay safe, keep calm, & be well. v
the time machine is cool too
My great Uncle Edward could build stuff just like this
You can build the orrery from a kit and scrap pieces!
beautiful what a beautiful steampunk creation.
its not a steampunk creation. its an orrery. been around for quite some time, im pretty sure da vinci had a model of one of these but not sure if it was his creation
What a magnificent creation. I'm extremely jealous. Though, to be super picky, I did find a mistake in your orrery: Venus needs to be moving in the eastwardly (clockwise) direction. I hope I'm wrong, but please check
Venus rotates backwards but revolves the same as the other planets - if that's what you mean.
Why am I imagining professor Klump dropping waffles and syrup on this, and then knocking it off the table while trying to clean it up...???
Im building one now
Without disclosing how much this orrery went for, could you give us a ballpark figure how how much one would have to pay to get something like this made, from someone who was skilled enough to make it?
If you have to ask, you can't afford it...
Is this the solar system?
This is a BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART! Is it possible to buy this nowadays? Is there any use for the big barrel, which I can only suspect to be beer? How much is this and where can you buy it? If you are somehow the genius who made this, I will pay you $600 for every second I watch this video
Where could I order one to buy, and how much?

6 13 20 Hey@@overweightarchie, Thanks for posting the link. I've been checking out orreries & they seem to be one of the few people/companies making orreries. Stay safe, keep calm, & be well. v
Beautiful. I am in the process of making a similar, but much more highly complicated device for my collection. Please forward this to your collector, I think he would appreciate it. My RUclips channet is fgtyc. There are some aspects of your film I'd like to forward to my fabricator. May I have permission to copy this to him?
An orrery proves time slippage as the earth moves around the sun.
So all the bells and wits of man fails to prove the universe as truth.
God proves all things for he is the creator of all things. And God gives his only begotten Son to save us from ourselves. That is how precious we are.
JAMES 1:5 KJV
SEEK GOD! and SEEK GOD FOR ALL ANSWERS.
I highly doubt that this belonged to jules vern.. he didnt even have some of these materials available to him.
Up is simply up and down will never be up. A curve proves level and a level proves a curve.
The earth is stretched out. The sun moves around the earth.
