This is pretty easy to resolve. just make the key wear a hat too.
Wearing a top hat? tilt it to the left, then put a tinier top hat over the key so it's symmetric.

the obvious solution is different styles of fancy keys
Replace the key with a hat that does the winding instead. It can snap into the key's slot and spin like a dial.
Every hat she wears now have power generator theme on it. Battery, solar panel, coal factory, an electrical plug.
I can imagine a sun hat design that consists of solar panels akin to the InSight lander's.

IRyS has taken her horns off before. I'm sure they can make it work. Especially because it's literally just part of a wind up doll and it could just have the part removed. Lore-wise it would be inconvenient to reattach it each time you gotta wind her up, but not impossible.
Also "wind-up keys" were removable, called keys cause they would have a key hole to be inserted into. This was often to improve the aesthetics of an item like a standing or wall clock where the keyhole was on the face of the clock. So she could have a hat or costume if the key is hanging off it.

Wear the hat canted, perhaps even with a ribbon or decoration looped/caught around the key to explain how it stays on. Or wear a normal hat, and the backless outfit reveals the reserve key port between her shoulderblades.

Have a slot for the path the key would take, not just a hole for the key to sit in, would make some interesting situations where artists could work with this solution in mind and make some unique hat designs

Some music boxes and such have keys with a screw/hinge on them, so they can collapse and be more flush with the rest of the box. Cece just needs a collapse-able key :)

What about if she just swaps out the key for one that is hat shaped? You just spin the whole hat to wind her up. It would enable even more hats than usual because it being plugged into her head means you wouldn't have to worry about it falling off.
This is really easy, just have a concept art drawn up showing that she can move the key to her back.
