Oh my goodness, I absolutely love these layouts. What a WONDERFUL job you did on each and every piece!!!! This tells me that I have got to try flip flaps as I love each and every one you share 🥰
I filled two albums with photos probably around 200 plus photos plus postcards & other things of my trip to England in 1987. When visiting another country for a trip of a lifetime, you are always going to take tons of photos to remind you of the trip. I used to belong to CM back then & so the albums were flip out pages, so you stuck your extra page on the outer edge of the page, so when opened - you were looking at 2/12 X 12 pages side by side, so they ended up being rather heavy albums when finished & took me months to do but I didn't mind as I was re-living my trip. Watching this is making me nostalgic to look at my albums again only my space today will barely fit a 12 X 12 page so it is time to clean up my dining table I think!! I love the way you have done the pages & when I have my mini holiday in September my daughter is taking me on, I will be using flip flaps to save on bulk & weight. It will be a special holiday as I haven't been to the place since I was around 6 or maybe 7 years of age which means that was about 70 years ago, so yes, it will be special AND I will be taking lots of photos to document. So I am praying that the winter is short for us & that springtime has sprung!!
Hello Louise! I am so glad the video made you feel nostalgic and I hope you had a moment to visit your older CM albums for a walk down memory lane. Have a wonderful holiday with your daughter, sounds like a special trip.
You are so welcome! I always struggled when it trickled onto multiple layouts because I want a title on each spread but didn't want two titles for the same event.
Thank you, I am so glad it was helpful! I know it really reduces the overwhelm for me. It makes it easier to plan a layout for your photos while only looking at the ones you plan to scrapbook.
What an interesting layout. I love your interactive pieces and like them added to outer page protector. Enjoy seeing all the photos of your trip and hope we get to see completed album. Your embellishments just added more interest to the layout❣️
Thank you so much! I really like how this one came together with all the photos included onto one layout. It feels so god to be getting this trip documented.
Beautiful layout. I love flip flaps to get more on my pages. Next month I am starting a travel album of our 5-1/2 week roadtrip this winter. We camped our way through numerous states. We were celebrating my retirement, and this was just the first in many planned roadtrips. But boy do I have a lot of photos! I have put the ones I think I want to use in an album on my computer, and I will start out by cropping and resizing many of them. It is going to be a big project, but I can't wait to relive the trip through my finished scrapbook.
That must have been a wonderful trip. Some of my favorite adventures were made on road trips. That is a smart move to organize the photos you know you want to document in an album. That removes some of the overwhelm.
I have this kit and am saving for our trip to Holland and Brussels next month. I'll probably come back and rewatch this process again as there are so many good ideas
Thank you! This is a fun design I have revisited for other events with lots of photos. It works so well to get them all onto the layout and I am glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you, it was such a cool tour! This might be my first time using the 8x12 Flip Flaps. I know you will come up with an awesome layout design with yours.
Just found your Channel. Love it. I just got back into scrapping this year after MANY years (how many? Like, try 14 !). Ugh. Life got in the way but I’m so happy to see actual scrapbooking with photos. I’ve never got into digital so your style warms my heart and bring me inspiration. Thank you. Glad to see I’m not alone. And I’ve always done (my own version of) interactive pages so this was great!
Hello and welcome! Life has a funny way of derailing our scrapbooking plans doesn’t it? I am glad you are getting back to it and I hope you find lots of inspiration here on my channel.
Absolutely love these pages w/flip flaps! I have sooo many pics of our trips to New Mexico so your techniques will be helpful! TFS, Erin. I sorta regret not purchasing this paper, but I have so much travel paper! I did buy the stamps sets w/thin cuts though… Just placed an order for 2 sets of stamps w/thin cuts & was so excited for the sale that I forgot a few miscellaneous items that I wanted! Good grief.
I admire your discipline. It is very rewarding to use what you have in your stash. I probably keep tempting you every thing I use it 😂 I hope you can apply the layout design to your papers for your trip. I forget things all the time when ordering and have to make a list I can check off.
I love this layout!! It's so interesting with the flip-flaps. This is so helpful when you have so many photos that you want to include and I like this better than doing multiple pages for the same event. Thank you for the inspiration🤩
I love all your layouts...but I really love this one! You made the big flipflap look so integrated with the overall layout, from both sides! I so often have more photos that I can fit into one double spread, so seeing how you did this is super helpful! Thank you!!
I’ve been waiting for this layout because I was sure you must’ve visited the Colosseum! Love how you got all those photos on there and it tells the story perfectly! I love different fonts too! I’m leaving for Holland 🇳🇱 and London 🇬🇧 on Monday! So excited!
I love your layout. I've heard you refer to using Design Space to plan your layout before and I am wondering about that and how it works. Would you consider making a video of how you do it? I am very interested in learning that technique.
OH my goodness, this layout is amazing, your style is just like mine and I get so much inspiration from watching you! Anyhoo, I tried to use your terrific tip about doubling the paper for the die cuts to give them a little more sturdiness, but I couldn't get it to go thru my Big Shot. It was too thick.....have you ever come across that? Thank you for your great inspirations!
Hi Teri, thank you for your kind words. All the die cutting machines are different. Are you using shims? You may need to remove layers from your die cutting sand which. Most should be able to die cut two layers at one. It also depends on the paper and dies too.
Love this layout, and getting as many pics as possible per page.... but wait.... are these the only pics you took on vacation? In my albums, I have 4 double page spreads just for a birthday party LOL
Thank you! The Flip Flaps and pocket plus inserts are a craft room staple for me. You can find them in my shop here erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/retail/search.aspx?searchvalue=Flip+flaps
Hi Joanna, have you seen my video on 10.5 ways to add journaling? If not, you may find some helpful tips. Here is a link right to it. ruclips.net/video/k5RfhyNKZbs/видео.htmlsi=ZjLXFNt09c66kdNv
It could be your camera or where you are getting the photos from. If people are sharing photos with you, they may be sharing in a smaller file size which will reduce the quality. If you are grabbing them off of Facebook, or other places that definitely can affect the quality. I have been using an iPhone as my primary camera for the last four years or so. I had the iPhone 11 Pro and only now recently upgraded to the 14. Paper quality also matters, I use Epson premium photo paper only. Also check your print settings. Depending on what program you are printing from you should be able to adjust the settings to best quality photo print. You also need to adjust the paper which will be under the media settings. If your print setting are set to print on plain white paper, it will not look as good as if you adjust it to photo paper regardless of the actual physical paper. Hopefully all of that makes sense. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything further and I hope it helps.

I love this!! I typically take a LOT of pictures, so I appreciate seeing this layout using so many photos!
Flip Flaps are amazing aren't they? I know I will repeat this layout for future vacation pages for sure!
I love what you said about containing one event on a two page spread! This was masterful! Thanks for the ideas!
You are so welcome! I always struggled when it trickled onto multiple layouts because I want a title on each spread but didn't want two titles for the same event.
wow I really love your voice!
Why thank you ☺️

This will be perfect for your trip. That sounds like an amazing adventure you have planned!
❤Simply awesome!
Thank you! 😊
Thanks Erin. I have almost 500 pics from a recent girlfriends trip to the Azores! This gave me great ideas!
I am so glad this was helpful! I like to mix in pocket pages also when I have a lot of photos.
Love this!
Thank you! This is a fun design I have revisited for other events with lots of photos. It works so well to get them all onto the layout and I am glad you enjoyed it.
This is an awesome layout, love it❤
Thanks so much! 😊 I really enjoy going back to layouts with Flap Flaps and exploring the interactive elements.
This is so fun!! I absolutely LOVED touring the Colosseum area, it’s fascinating. You captured it perfectly. I still need to use those big flip flaps!
Thank you, it was such a cool tour! This might be my first time using the 8x12 Flip Flaps. I know you will come up with an awesome layout design with yours.
As always I LOVE this layout and got so much inspiration. You are so amaing!
Awwww, you are too kind. I really love how the large Flip Flap turned out on this one.

I love this layout! I always have so many pictures and I forget about the bigger flip flaps!!!
Thank you. I am the same, I always reach for the 4x4 and 4x6 flaps, when I do use the larger sizes I always love the result.
Great job as always
Thank you, this was a fun one!
I love Rome, I really want go back! It rained buckets so didn’t see everything which was so disappointing, but I can say I was in Rome!!
Oh no, the rain must have been so disappointing! You definitely have a good reason to go back.
Absolutely love these pages w/flip flaps! I have sooo many pics of our trips to New Mexico so your techniques will be helpful! TFS, Erin.

I am so glad it was helpful. I don’t reach for these larger sizes nearly as often as I should. I really like how it turned out.
I’ve been waiting for this layout because I was sure you must’ve visited the Colosseum! Love how you got all those photos on there and it tells the story perfectly! I love different fonts too!
I’m leaving for Holland 🇳🇱 and London 🇬🇧 on Monday! So excited!
Thank you. Have fun on your trip, I can't wait to see the photos!
Fantastic!
Thank you so much! I am loving this paper pack.
I love that you are mad at Dave for his paw print on the travel tag, then create your own large melon paw print on the white tag! 😂
Lol, that is so funny but that sums it up 😂
I love your layout. I've heard you refer to using Design Space to plan your layout before and I am wondering about that and how it works. Would you consider making a video of how you do it? I am very interested in learning that technique.
Thank you! I’ve shared the process in our Private membership but I can definitely add that to my list of videos.

Dave IS a boss!

Lol 😂 I can relate! It was hard to narrow the photos down from this event. The trip will have its own album though.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
😃
This is amazing! Totally my style! Where can I get the flip protectors? I love those!

How do you print your journaling? Do you have a tutorial?

Should’ve left the paw print…. It could have represented the tigers in the collesium 🤣🤣
lol, that is too funny 😂 🤣
I know you print your own photos. I have the same printer as you and I don’t get as clear of prints as yours look. Any helpful hints?

What brand photo printer do you have?
It is the Epson Picture Mate 400 and I love it! amzn.to/40nuRcE
