- Hello design champs! Today I went through four of your logo designs. I don’t think any of them were for personal logos which is an interesting change, they were all business or event logos. That’s so fun! I'm not sure if all of my redesigns were a good direction but hopefully each designer can take at least one thing as an idea for their logo. Thanks for being here guys! After he does a shite ton of detail on the Stonebird first thing he sais about the baby logo is that ia to much detail. Very inconsistent design preaching
@@wolfsteiin5815 you have to keep the purpose of the logo in mind. A rock festival is something completely different which requires a different approach.
You should do a redesign of current popular logos

Actually your logos are way too generic and complicated, you should follow Zimri's advice on the font and try with a new more simple bird shadow :)
@@TheStepmonkey The logo was made couple months ago, it is actually standing still so we good anyway :)
Also the brief I got for that fits the logo way betters. Plus... where's the "stone'ish" look on his bird?
I think you made the Stonebird logo a bit too detailed, it might look better more simplified!😊
Dina Ohana yeah I liked every redesign except the stonebird one
I think that it is better because it gives more of a messy rock style because the original was too sharp and modern for a rock logo.
Just my personnal opinion.
Voxylem totally agree! the redesign was more loose and “festival”-y. The old version seemed too serious.

It now has a more festiva-ly vibe.. the original one could be easily assumed as a logo for a car company or heavy stuff like that.
But I love the original idea as well🖒

The intro song is great! Chicago Eye - an overall improvement but didn't like the little white details you added at the end. Stonebird - the font is better (reminds me of the Fender guitar logo), the bird looked better for a minute, I liked the "rounder" look, and you improved the eye for sure, but don't like the feather details, the wiggly edges, or the texture added, also think the beak details never quite looked right. Baby Hero - improved in every way. Knightsway Tavern - also improved in every way, but maybe a bit more shadow to emphasize the different mugs (or make the background mugs a little smaller).

think the Knightsway Tavern logo was improved but now the beer glasses look like popcorn to me 😂
Yeah, and it looks like a pint class. They normally don't have foam (at least in England).

The tavern one is great! Amazing how just a few small details can make a huge difference. It feels so much more friendly and inviting!

For composition with The Chi Eye, I thought putting the The, Chi, and Eye on top of one another in a vertical composition would have been interesting and would have felt more balanced. Then, incorporating the type into the building, which is all ready vertical would have made a cool logo. Zimri's redesign was definitely a step up though.

For everyone that hates the new birdstone logo, I got to say that most of the audience on this channel are under 18 y.o so it’s safe to say that the new logo has an old style to it, which some of you guys might like including myself. Defenitively a great job for both of you, keep it up!

If you give a complicated design, Zimri will simplify it. If you give a simple design, he'll add more details XD. Not hating, I love Zimri! He's my fave youtube designer. More videooooos please :D

I actually like the Stonebird logo! It gives off those homegrown rock festival vibes for sure
More beers were a good idea, and bubbles were ok...but when you hid the bottom of the glasses...it looked like popcorn xD

I like the idea with the Chicago skyline instead of just the one building. Kind of gives the vibe of a Chicago news company
The intro song makes me feel so important and reminds me THAT I RULE IN A HOUSE WITH A POOL and ughhhh lifts my spirits right up!!!
I think that Olive and Oak one might get some mileage from swapping out the 'and' with one of those episolon-with-vertical-line-looking ampersands.
Very hand-written ingredient and would look cool, and then you could focus on the names' balance with eachother! :)

Usually I dig a lot of your redesigns and always curious what you would do with mine, but that redesign on the Stonebird Festival pains me to see, haha. I feel like all the extra detail hurt the design and it could have been achieved with less detail. I liked the design with ruffling the feathers and perhaps some streak lines coming from the mouth implying it's making some noise. The circle around it looks great and I agree with the font changes. I am by no means a graphic artist, but that's how I saw that one.
Love your stuff though, keep it coming.

Great stuff! I feel like for the bird logo, it might've been a more efficient idea to use a texture overlay instead of making all the scratches and dots by yourself. But I love the direction it was taken, especially with the vintage font that reminded me of Fender a little bit. Also, is the PPS on your shirt referencing Portland Public Schools? I went to school in that district, it would be so cool if we went to the school!

Never change the theme song. It’s catchy and very cool.
the new stonebird festival looks -cleaner- more fun and more coherent overall but damn that's an ugly eagle. From "rock-ish" to "hardcore rock" i think. The original bird looked like a raven, the kind of bird that's commonly a symbol for literature stuff so it's actually great when you tweaked it to look like an eagle or smth. The bird looked like a brave bird of prey when you turned it to white, fixed the eye, sharpened the beak and curved up the crown feathers.
I much prefer the redesign of stonebirds, I think that if it was all done by hand and had more time put into it then it would look more cohesive and really shine with the direction you were going.

I really enjoyed seeing your process for the Knightsway logo. It was awesome to see you get semi-serious and really focus on it.

The thing with Stonebird is that the original looks like a logo for a private security company or something like that (especially if you remove the "festival" text). In contrast the redesign fits "a rock-ish music festival" way better, you can feel the right vibe instantly. It isn't necessarily a better logo per se, especially since they look almost like two completely different things, but it's surely more appropriate for a rock festival.

*The Chicago Eye:* I believe that the logo should have some of that baby blue somewhere in it, but you made a great improvement overall!!! :)
*Stonebird Festival:* The new version could use a different font, and maybe some refinement. But I like the idea that you had, I'd just opt for a different execution?
*BabyHero:* I agree with the changes you made! The only thing that I think needs some changing is the color of _Hero_ for another one with a higher contrast, but that's just me :)
*Knightsway Tavern:* First of all, I love that ampersand!!! It's soooooo pretty ♥!!! And I'd like to try a different color combinations :)
