Hey Owen splice up some loops on your dock lines with hose on them , use them on the ruff dock cleats and then tie off back to your boat with some hose to go through toerail. That will get rid of the chafe. You are lucky that it was not chafed through and caused more damage. Thanks for your videos. All the best.
On Dec. 1 on Ebay, a Cape Dory 25 with a trailer sold for $910, which is amazingly low to me. The listing was slightly incomplete as in what the engine was, outboard, inboard, diesel or gas, and the boat was dirty and the cabin sole and much of the teak was weathered looking. Miami listing.
The Cape Dory "25", designed by George Stadel is an older, complely different boat than the "25D" designed by Carl Alberg. That is indeed a very small price, but you get what you pay for.
Great to see you back. Interested in the throttle linkage perhaps interfering with RPMS? Did figure why your boat lists to the starboard? Does the fuel tank have access for inspection and cleaning?
Hi M, thanks for your kind words. I don't know how that linkage would interfere with the tachometer, but I haven't investigated yet. It's been working well since early in my departure from Anacortes. Regarding the listing, most of the boat's storage is available on the port side. This includes the cockpit locker and galley. The heaviest object to starboard is the fresh water tank. As the water is used, any balance is lost and the boat lists to port. I just need to find a way to store more gear (conveniently) to starboard. I haven't found any good access to the fuel tank for inspection / cleaning. I'm keeping the tank full during the cold season, but may remove it for inspection / cleaning when warm weather returns. Thanks again!
Your new bow nav light? The Orientation for your port and starboard is opposite to what we have here in Australia, i thought there was no difference internationally on boat port and starboard but stand to be corrected.
Hey Owen, nice to see you back again. Is your bow light lens upside down? Looking at 15:31 the red lens is to starboard and green is on port. Or am I seeing an optical illusion?
Ugh, you are absolutely right. How sad for me: 1) I didn't notice, and 2) This might mean I have to mess with the wiring to get it right. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Good day I could use a few dimensions for the mast Trying to refit mine Stone damaged Height from deck to boom would held Pictures would be great Thanks
Hi Michael, I'll try to keep your request in mind. I don't live close to the boat, so it might be a bit. Keep reminding me and I'm happy to get some dimensions for you with my next visit.
Good to see you again Owen, thanks
Thanks Ed, more to come!

Thank you Elados. I'll definitely keep that in mind.

I've found that lacquer thinner takes glue residue off much better than acetone.
Thanks for that Jack. I'll surely keep that in mind.
