    I think the Skeleton minifigure needed a mention - another milestone introduced by the Pirates theme. And babies needed a mention as well. Maybe in part two!

    The exo-force mini figure was cool, you should show more of your mini figure collection :)

    I'm a little disappointed that you didn't show any Jack Stone style figure, especially since you mentioned them while showing Hagrid. I know that people seem to be hating them, but they're still a part of the Minifigure history. I'm very surprised that you didn't show any Duplo figure as well.
    Also I would have loved to see one Lego Technic "Mini"figure in the video. Until today I really hope they get a comeback. They were amazing in terms of articulation and in my personal opinion looked overall really good. Lego would make a ton of money if they made for example a Lego Technic Hulkbuster with this style of Iron Man or any other licensed or unlicensed theme.

    Nexo Axel, Hulk bigfig from the SHIELD Escape back in the first Marvel wave, and the buildable Giant-Man are some of my personal favorites that stand out from releases. Great stuff!

    Great line-up! Fabuland is still highly sought after here in The Netherlands. Loved that theme! Also, big LEGO Technic figures, enternal shame on LEGO for kicking them out of the line-up. These where great and I still have a few.

    Great showcase!!!!
    Outside of Lego System, the Technic "minifigures" were pretty great. They were basically full-on 'action figures' with an amazing, advanced poseability, but still felt like Lego.
    Furthermore, there also existed at least two types of 'figs' for Lego Basic; none of them possessed any limbs. One type were larger buildable ones with oversized heads. The other newer type looked a bit like 'chess figs' with heads attached to them; style-wise, the heads strongly resembled the ones from the older 'Homemaker' theme.

      Oh, yeah, and Duplo, .... of course!

    This was an awesome vid! It was really interesting to learn about the homemakers. The Croc, Axel, and Giant Ant-Man have to be some of my fav innovations in the Lego Minifigure design. I wonder if they could invent a new piece for their prosthetic hook in a similar way to how they made a new piece for a modern prosthetic runner leg. Hope we can get a part 2!

    lego REALLY needs to bring back those 1 x 1 towball round plates that were used in those home maker dolls. it could help expand the build-able figures or GWP bionicle style build-able figure possibilities.
    also the minifigure battle droids in 1999 had a torso design that didn't supported the leg connection perfectly. it often slid out to the sides. it wasn't until the life on mars torsos where they fixed that problem and eventually made it to battle droids today.

      Technic figures and their pieces could be a nice consideration for buildable minifigure Bionicle.

    I had the big head and armless kind from the 70's-early 80's. I found them so boring. I loved it when they came out with the classic yellow minifigs. To this day I love them. I'm glad the faces and hair are more fun today

    • @Bionickpunk
      @Bionickpunk Год назад

      @@rocketninja4112 I didnt talk about that, but actually showing them and talking about them in detail. Hopefully part 2 would do that. Could honestly make 3 or 4 parts if he included all of the figures, like for example all the variants of Duplo figures, minion like figures (minions, nexo knights lava demons, dreams mushroom people, etc), or even all the girl figures (mini dolls only had a short mention in this video).

      14:44 i think the very first big figs came with the lego rock raiders theme. I remember these brown mud monsters, they could only move one arm. I bet you even have one in your giant collection :)

    • @orien2v2
      @orien2v2 Год назад +3

      Technically they couldn’t be considered as minifigures. The blue cap guy literally has his own minifigure in the set. As for Harry and Hermione, they already have their own minifigures. They’re really just sets disguised as a minifigure. Not comparable to the Giant Ant-Man, Grawp and Ares as they’re separate characters but still in minifigure-scale, relatively to other normal minifigures. Ant-Man did grow giant so it deserves to be a separate minifigure despite it being brick-built. Pretty sure that’s why Bricklink listed him as a minifigure as well. If the up-scaled minifigures could be considered as minifigures, then the buildable Fawkes and Hedwig should be as well 😂
