You should continue to do RUclips man. This video is very informative and straight to the point. Keep up the good work!
Thank You! this is the only good review of the overt ive seen so far!
Trex arms?
Alexander Smolinskiy Lucas went over the covert. So TNC’s statement is accurate.
You don't watch flannel daddy do you?
@@remingtonsiefkas2458 this was commented before garand thumb did his.
@@romeogamma573 oh really? My bad i thought his was done 2 years ago very well carry on
Is there a significant difference between the Medium and Large versions? I'm a shmedium sized man weighing in around 135-140 lbs and figured the medium size would do me good with a size 1 cummerbund. Kinda late to the game, I know, but I was lucky to get the chance to order from Spiritus directly.
Agreed, good review
Great video. Planning on doing any gun review videos?
Any chance you know if the Haley Strategic flatpack will work with the overt rear?
InkwellFoto yes it will. The Overt has added molle loops that will accomodate the vertical straps on the Flatpack.
This is exactly what I needed to know lol now I can buy one with full confidence. Thanks guys!
Nice review, Im planning on buying one, do you think 1.2inch thick SAPI plates will fit nicely? their website says max thickness is 1.2inch, i dont want any pressure spots wearing out the carrier. Itd be great if you can let me know.
Richard Wu im usinf Dfndr Armor level III rifle plates 1.1 inches and its tight. I dont recommend anythinf thicker than 1.1 inches thick.
What size plate carrier . and what size plates did you get? I want to order mine but idk how they will fit
Obviously a little late considering you posted a year ago, but for others wondering: You should measure your torso from the collarbone down to mid stomach. Less than 13 inches, get a medium. More than 13. Get a large. You buy your carrier based on your plate size, not your shirt size. You want maximum protection but also comfortable movement. Too large of plates and you wont be able to bend over.
Is that their UHMWPE plates? Did you find somewhere that sells them for cheaper than the list price? I want to get those types of plates, but they are too expensive
Theyre expensive but definitely worth it. Steel and Ceramic plates weigh around 8 lbs each whereas the UHMWPE plates are TWO POUNDS. They also are ACTUALLY multihit capable, unlike the latter which only claim to be. Ive seen an UHMWPE plate take FIFTEEN rounds before it started to fail whereas steel and ceramic can only take a few. Granted, if you're worried about how MANY bullets you can stop, you're already doing something wrong. The plates should be there to stop the OCCASIONAL round, not to make you bulletproof. But knowing that your insane weight savings also has alot of durability to it means that you'll pay twice as much but have it for MUCH longer and be able to carry more gear on you because of the weight savings.
How comfortable is it
i am thinking of geting this i want a really high quality better then the cheap condor is this worth the price ??
benjamin jenkins hell yea
how big are you and what size did you order? Thanks
Jeff Geesaman 210lbs 6’2” i ordered medium and 10x12 plates
Is it just me or does the plate carrier looks a little more tan or grey green than the crye ranger green
Legend Airsoft nahh its just the lighting. Its a darker green than whats shown in the video. Recorded on my iphone haha
Would you recommend this carrier?
No_ _Name yes definitely. It can be used for a wide variety of needs. Home defense, slick, and fully loaded. I was at Shot Show talking to one of the employees at spiritus about future accessories. They have a lot of other options to swap in and out of the overt coming soon. Like molle cummerbunds, side panels for body armor inserts, backpacksystem in the rear, and larger storage flaps for the sides. Its priced fair like the competition for what you get. The quality is definitely there with their fabric and stitching choice. No issue of anything torn or fraying. Im willing to bet it will last me a while.
@@Gunmetaltech I assuming they didn't mention a greater selection of plate bag sizes to the overt model lineup, such as size small, did they?
Joker416YT yeah. No small.
Would it be able to run 10x12 full cut plates?
Larry Von Due full cut and swimmers cut should work. Mine that i showed were full cut.
Albert Are they full cut? The outline looked like they were sapi cut plates.
Larry Von Due sorry, mine are sapis. If your plate profile is more rectangular then yes it SHOULD fit. When i felt the pocket inside, there was open space for rectangular full cut plates to fit inside still.
Albert Thanks for your help! I bought myself an lbx plate carrier a while back that were for sapi cuts so my full cut plate didn’t fit.
Where did you get the flag patch?
Andrew Mcdonald i forgot. Probably ebay-amazon.
Albert it happens lol thanks !
hey, i’m 5’8” and 189 lbs. what sizes should i get
Johnathan Litts medium will work fine for you
Albert dope. thanks dude
Is yours medium or large? I'm 6 ft 5 205
Stephentank14 medium. Get the large. Trust me. I cant swap mine out for free anymore. And get the size 2 cummerbund.
@@Gunmetaltech too small on you? And great review!
Stephentank14 i got it to fit just right. But if i gain anymore weight im in trouble. In the video i set up my cummerbund to the farthest settings.
@Austin Knowles What size did you end up getting? I am 5'11" 190lbs and got a medium and it seems it might be snug with plates on.
