I believe it is permanent. If you watch the trailer for The Floor is Lava with Midas it's advertised at "Limited Game Mode". This is just "New Mode".

I imagine with it being a small map and fast storm, that it will be squads with 25-50 players. Perhaps each player has like 3 lives and drop down from sky after being eliminated. I feel like I played something like it in Ch2.
They had a mode like that in Ch1. I'm positive on that. I think it was squads. They might have brought that LTM to Ch2 a few times.

remember that in that mode when you died there would be a timer and when the timer ran out you would respawn?

The collabs are cool, the seasons still pretty trashy though since you have to be in a car to win, ill def main the new mode though if its good

It will probably only be in the builds mode, which will turn the mode into a sweaty lobby simulator, but I still think it's a good addition because more modes to play is always good. The OG2 season is still going to happen and I'm excited to see the remix skins from chapter 2.
i find zero builds are more sweaty then builds
@@unclebug35 It only seems that way because in builds you can pick out who is the weak link via their building skills
Most people will know who to pick up a gun, aim and shoot
But most people aren't going to know how to build up high ground for themselves, edit quickly, peek and box themselves up in builds if they are newer
Most will just build a wall with stairs and hope for the best

These types of modes are usually sweaty. Not because of builds, but because of the nature of the mode.
Fast paced. Small map. Lots of action. It's like Zone Wars, and sweats LOVE that.
@@nok4799True. I've been around since C1S4 and you can tell bad players by how they move and especially how they build.
You can also tell where people and fights have been by builds.
I hate no builds, because you can't tell if someone is 100 meters away about to laser you, and if they do, your only real option is to shockwave away and hope they don't also have shockwaves.
It becomes just a game of who sees who first, which is lame, imo.
That said, I still play occasionally when I want to take it easy for awhile. Although in my SBMM, people usually have great aim in both modes, so that makes no builds a headache.
Just my 2 cents.
Some kind of old map fusion is super cool, also having a new mode with it? This better be permanent, this is crazy cool
maybe it will be similar to 50v50 or team rumble but squads.. and maybe a limit of 50-80 players. that would be cool

Thanks for covering this tabor, lets hope this is a permanent mode and that its good. Im thinking that if they had solo and duos and trios and squads options for this, the tab for "by epic" could get kinda cluttered and confusing between normal br. So even if they dont have that and its only squads, i do hope that we'll have the option for a zero build version as well. That seems a little more realistic to me, but we'll see when it launches. I also wonder, even if it ends up being only squads, if it can be with fill on or off so you could play solo technically (yet probably it'd be more difficult).
Did you know that the glider "flavor-dusted sparklewings" from chapter 2 season 8 music changes to the contrail music from lightning dropper from metallica if you put them together. It's awesome!

3:42 You most likely won’t be able to respawn right away. It’s going to be very much like COD Resurgence. You will be forced to spectate for a certain amount of time before respawning, but if all your teammates die, then you are permanently eliminated from that game.

Oh man i was wishing for a mode like this for so long (if it's what i think it is). I am guessing that this is gonna be a fast paced battle royale similar to brawl stars' showdown. The zone will always close into the middle, i am guessing it will deal more damage because the games should be fast paced. When your teammates die, they will respawn after some time probably like a minute or something. And also the fact that its og map is super interesting. This might be my new favorite thing in fortnite

Chapter 1 was my absolute favorite and I was shocked when they brought it back before the Big Bang Event and the fact that epic is actually bringing it back is even more surprising even if it’s smaller than the og chapter 1 map I’m still glad they are giving us a separate game mode for chapter 1!

I want a mode from fortnite like this except with a little island of each chapter separately, like you randomly get a chapter, and it'd a Mashup of everything that was in that chapter, along with a few that Mashup EVERY chapter in one!
I hope this becomes a permanent mode and it cycles through other “mini” maps like this from other chapters, and with different poi’s. I think it could be a really fun idea, and if it gives xp it could be my new favorite mode
i was hyped for this, as someone who only started playing fortnite late 2022. i didn't play every season or chapter either (for various reasons: no time, lack of interests, etc) and lately i've been wishing i was there the early years of fortnite. i know it wasn't perfect but it just seemed different and more fun imo?? compared to overall how the game is now (been feeling this since last year tbh). plus all the stuff and battle pass i missed ah.. again while i'm really curious about this, like you i'm worried that it will just be squads and with builds. maybe it can be like team rumble? idk.. the mode i personally i like/play the most is solo zero build. i hope if it's not available tomorrow, let's hope they will eventually add it in the future too
So how i think the part "as long as 1 members alive you can respawn" i think thats going to work like call of duty where you wait a seconds and then you can respawn
It’s like bloodstrike because there is no reboot vans and you one of your squad has to stay alive so that you you can get rebooted

This season is looking to be one of the best because this season was already fun with vehicles, vehicle attachments, and Nitro Fists and then Fortnite got a Metallica collab which gave us the Ride the Lightning mythic which is really fun and a Metallica concert is happening tomorrow and we may get a possible FNAF collab in the final update of this season and now ch1 OG returning in some way

From what I can tell, it’s going to be like resurgence/rebirth island in call of duty.
They did something similar in apex legends, if your teammate is still alive you respawn when the next circle starts.
I like when Fortnite/Epic Games surprise us hopefully this a good Summer update because I really get hyped for the Summer updates
And also hopefully it's not just a Greek Summer🎉❤
