- No time of year is safe from Epcot's weirdness. And in this episode, we'll be going over some of the park's decorations, overlays and various other traditions celebrated there. Including stuff like The Lights of Winter, Candlelight processional, Holiday Illuminations and Figment's new ugly sweater.

Now I know to go to Epcot during the holidays because I've never been and was thinking about going this summer. After watching this, I think I'll skip the summer trip and head over in December

I performed as part of the Candlelight Procession in 2006! An experience that was out of this world!
Way back in maybe 1996 or 97 they used to have a double decker bus filled with Disney characters come to the area near the tree. They would get off the bus and meet and greet guests. My daughter was about 6 then and she bought a giant pen and autograph book. She got about a dozen autographs from the characters. They even had some goofy looking reindeer that were very engaging. Ah good times.
I want that Figment sweater very badly
I also performed for candlelight 04-08 it was amazing! Except for the poor girl who passed out infront of me. Those songs are forever stuck with you.
I performed in Candlelight Processional every year since 2004. It is the one thing I have missed the most because of the pandemic.

If you feel so inclined to keep this series going.... perhaps covering the various meet and greet characters. Ya know, the creepy ones from opening day, those troll things from Norway. Quality nightmare fodder!
I was in the Candlelight Processional in 2018. It was very fun! My school’s choir got to perform there and it was something I’ll never forget
Oh man I love me some Epcot stuff around the Christmas time! I love seen the candlelight progression, and what I know and be called was "Santas around the world." They're wonderful and fun to see and learn what each country does around the holidays ^^ And now seeing figment in an adorable ugly sweater! oh my goodness! he looks adorable!

I did the candlelight processional in 2016 (I still have the ears I got for it) apparently some poor girl from my school had another girl throw up on her

i just went to disneyworld for the first time last december, and honestly this made me miss it so much. had a weird epcot experience bc there was so much construction, but i'll be damned if it didnt look beautiful at night
Figment's ugly Christmas sweater is my EVERYTHING now! If there's a plush toy of it, I want twelve of them!
That being said, it'd be amazing if next year they decorated his upside-down home for Christmas. A tree in the living room, some turkey and fruitcake in the kitchen, maybe he could even have the clip of himself and Dreamfinder from the 1984 parade playing on the TV, how freak'n cool would that be?

I love the different versions of Santa at the World Showcase. The Norwegian one is my favorite, he's hilarious and stands out the most.
In Sweden, they are called "Tomtes", and if you ever want to see a more interactive version of that, (when there isn't a pandemic) come on over to Lindsborg, KS!

ah the Candlelight Processional!! I went with my school last year, performing at Disney was literally one of the best things. our speaker was Geena Davis!

I've wanted to return to EPCOT for a second visit following it's renewal once I've saved up the money to do so, now I know I'll DEFINITELY make sure it's during December so I can check out all the holiday stuff, I gotta see that candlelight processional. And it really is a HOLIDAY celebration, not just Christmas and they're too scared of offending people to simply refer to it as a Christmas event. Super cool to see all these other cultures' winter holidays and traditions actually represented and celebrated, since in the west it's like 95% Christmas, 4% Hanukkah, and then 1% who don't celebrate either.

How i miss the old Epcot Center from the 80’s! Now (even with the future plans) is a theming mess.

The candle light carolers where Cast Members who offered up to sing on there own time. They weren't payed it was all volunteer.
