I think we should have more "unisex" sections, there are already some pieces which are widely accepted to be worn by everyone. I completely agree that men's clothing can get boring, especially fit and silhouettes. I am a guy with a small waist and big legs, so I love wider pleated trousers, but when I showed the pieces I wanted to buy to some friends, they thought it was women's clothing when I received the items and showed them how they fit however they agreed with me and told me it looked great!
Dude I swear, I once accidentally bought a sweatshirt from the women's section (it was one of these shops where you can't tell where the men section stops and the women's starts) and it is by far one of my favorite sweatshirts I own considering that I am only 5.7.
We need more of "not being able to tell where the men's section stops and the women's starts" because I once tried to buy a women's piece and this shop lady kept telling me that I was buying the wrong gender's clothes and I even explained it and she still gave me a weird look. Whatever, I promise I'm over the embarrassment she forced onto me...
Yeah. It happened to me too because I was trying on a shirt from the male section. She basically stopped me and ask me: What are you doing? This is the men section. I replied: I know. And I kept going lol
I always think about this. If you got a group of men who were about to go to a club and told them they couldn't wear jeans, joggers, hoodies or a shirt/t-shirt, most of us would be out of options. Women on the other hand wear all kinds of pants, tops, skirts, dresses and everything in between. I wonder how we got to the point where men's style is so boring.
The problem with men style is most of stores only provide a normcore options which is same fabrics/cuts. You end up having to go purchase from high end fashion houses if u want anything interesting
@@Wolfslashs exactly. Thankfully some of the Scandinavian stores like Arket and COS are slightly more experimental with their cuts and textures but 1) it's still pricey and 2) they're definitely made for taller men.
If you're interested in the actual, historical reason men's fashion is so boring I'd recommend you look into The Great Male Renunciation and Beau Brummel. The simplicity of men's fashion stems largely from a single ye-old celebrity who wore military-inspired clothing and everyone else followed suit.
The women's section is my favourite for sweaters. So many options instead of just grey and black. Pants are great too, I'm 5'7 and I like having no break and above the ankles, so I always have to tailor my clothes which is expensive. Women's pants naturally end where I like them.

I recently went shopping with a good friend of mine and while I was first nervous about shopping in the women's section there were a lot of beautiful options. Going with someone you trust can really help lower the bar and expand your horizons, I highly recommend it! At the end of the day I walked away with beautiful white pants that fit my body perfectly
Man, you should do more videos wearing your hair loose, i always questioned myself about the influence of the length of my hair on the way i'm dressing
Im usually a large or xl in the women’s section. One good thing about it is when anything goes on sale on womens side, i pretty much have a size still available for me every time. I started buying from the women’s section since you and Danniel Simmons mentioned you buy some of your pants in the womens section. As a smaller guy it works and fits perfectly
I wouldn't buy clothes in the women's department because with my frame it would look ridiculous, but your styles openend my eyes on cuts I wouldn't normaly consider. I have a fairly muscular frame and the more fited trends don't work on me without excessive tayloring, but the more oversized look is slowly starting to grow on me.

One of the brands I sometimes shop at if it’s in my budget at the time is Kith. Their spring for collection for men. Definitely have some good pieces but in my opinion, the women’s section is far better. Never personally bought from their women’s line but I may be inclined to now. Definitely some really nice textures, designs and colorways. Plus a hidden tip for men buying women’s clothing. A tip is to buy yourself a pair of leggings. When it’s freezing out, trust me. Oh my god you don't know how much I needed that. I just wanted to buy some seaters from the women section online, but I was too scared about the sizing going wrong!!but thanks Tim you came for my rescue the same day🤯☺️
My best fitting pair of trousers came from the women's section. I didn't even know it was a women's piece until i tried it on. It fit nicely around my waist but it had this weirdly large bootcut legs which i had to adjust and now it's by far my favourite pair. Also it was way cheaper than any of the men's pieces so that's a win.

So true, women's clothes are definitely more diverse. Ive been looking around online, though tbh I'd be more self conscious if I were looking in store. I don't know why there's such a stigma for that
Whenever I go to Uniqlo with my girlfriend I'm always amazed at how stylish and good designs the women clothes are. The only reason that I'm not trying them on is that I'm afraid of getting judged. But after watching this video I may give it a go haha.

This video just change my life
Yes explain it like it is “clothes are just pieces of fabric you put on your body” thank you thank you thank you! So many people in my life have told me I can’t shop in certain sections because it’s not my gender.
So true, women's clothes are definitely more diverse. Ive been looking around online, though tbh I'd be more self conscious if I were looking in store. I don't know why there's such a stigma for that
Wear a white t-shirt 🎶 you’re lovely, thanks for fun, informative and well thought out content! Your videos high quality are another ballgame
Whenever I go to Uniqlo with my girlfriend I'm always amazed at how stylish and good designs the women clothes are. The only reason that I'm not trying them on is that I'm afraid of getting judged. But after watching this video I may give it a go haha.
Tim is back with another amazing video
I love your voice and I love your content. Good job👍
You got sub
I like your necklace. Where did you buy it?
Keep up the great content bro I love your videos 💪 😂 always love you postin new tips and tricks for us
I'm gonna try this out next time
I am 6'2 so I cannot follow this tip, however, I like to take inspiration from women's fashion
I bought a North face coat that was for women but it fit. I did not care it is the same as the man only that this was my size. good videos thanks tim
Those outfits look amazing 🔥
I have the same problems as you bro so i think its time to expand moremy style 👍
You're superb :) thanks for the advice and tips
My sister gave me her Denim jacket and it’s literally been a staple for me. It fits me perfectly.
Don’t the buttons run down on the opposite side?
@@kevrosas1 So what? If it fits well, I wouldn't care if people can tell that I'm wearing a jacket from the women's section. I'm confident in my own masculinity.
Can a 6' guy shop in the women's section? I like a lot of the trousers but I worry about length (usually a 34in length leg)
Perfect vid Tim. The message, the styles, challenging gender norms, love it! Wish more people were doing this.
You are right, they have the best clothes...I once accidently found a shirt that belonged to the womans section in the mens section...I just thought, "shit, about time we had same different material and silhoutte"...tried it on, looked better than any shirt I ever had. I was thinking to myself, what a great a shopping decision...I get to the counter and they said I couldnt buy it because its for women, I told them it was ok, nope...to this day, I always ask myself, why didnt I tell them it was for someone else...and this happened in the UK...a progressive country right, so yeah... need to start shopping in the womans section more now...
What?? A salesperson in a clothing store refused to sell you an item because you're a man and it was in the women's section? That's just absurd... What brand was it out of curiosity?
@@TimDessaint lol it was primark...back when I had no clue of what even a good brand was...
SO INSPIRING!!! 🔥🔥🔥✨✨✨
YES DUDE I’ve been telling this to everyone! My favorite sweaters and bomber jackets are all from uniqlo women’s. Haven’t tried looking for pants yet but will def go for it 🔥
Thank you for inspiring me to strive to be the best version of myself
