Those fried insects are usually expensive in Thailand.
Uncooked insects are usually the least expensive. 300-1200 baht/kg
depending on their type After cooking, it will shrink, causing a lot of weight loss. The sale of those fried insects was so priced that it seemed exaggerated.
And most of those insects are imported from Cambodia.
In fact, when you go to a food stall, you can buy at the price you want to pay. No need to buy at the price the seller tells you.
Those fried insects are sold by the gram. So he tells you the price in weight/price.
Yes, I agree! In Cambodia they gave me free samples because that's how inexpensive they are. Normally in the other markets in Thailand like the Naka weekend market (you can see it in my other video) they put the price and you can buy by the gram. In this video I wanted to try a few of the insects but she didn't allow me to buy just a few and there were no prices so they're just whatever prices she makes up. She only wanted to sell me a small cup for 100 Baht which is way too expensive.
