Thomas Krestchmann is a criminally underrated actor. Damn he is so handsome. Love him so much first saw him in Downfall brilliant performance as Fegelein. I am Australian and I have always been a fan.
This guy has the unique position of having played a wide variety of Nazis, most of them portrayals of real people. The slimy opportunist Hermann Fegelein in "Downfall", the despicable mass murderer Adolf Eichmann in "Eichmann", the willing Nazi (and unwilling coup participant) Otto Remer in "Valkyrie" and the compassionate and noble Wilm Hosenfeld in "The Pianist". And he was superb in all four performances.
