Items spawned from Chests normally have a small delay between when they spawn and when Isaac can pick them up; if Isaac has Glitched Crown, this delay is removed and he can pick up the item the moment it spawns, effectively forcing him to get a random item.
I agree that D10 is pretty crap, but like, no item is "bad" they have their usess, D10 in like corpse could turn the difficult enemies into weaker ones
Its useful, definitely but it's one of the more RNG dependent. Could turn a room full of hard enemies into harder ones. I think that's why people don't like it too much

Because you said glitched crown is your favorite item, I'm turning this into a question of the day. My favorite item is tractor beam. Even without the 2.0 mod, it does so much and has so many synergies. It makes the Wiz act like afterbirth+ 20/20, conjoined is a massive dps upgrade all the time, the shot multiplier items are even better. Even Tainted Eve's clots all shoot in the tractor beam making it extremely busted as her or with sumptorium. On top of all this it's a fire rate up and shot speed up. Oh and this isn't even mentioning how it interacts with split shot items. I once one shot hush with tractor beam, continuum, parasite, and crickets body without super exceptional stats
Eh, I think tractor beam's anti synergy with homing makes me like it way less. i'll still always take it assuming i don't already have homing tho. I also kinda dislike tractor beam 2.0 because i think that the multi-shot item synergy that gets messed with is the main reason i take tractor beam other than the stats. Mine is Haemolacria (duh) then Lachryphagy (fun+pretty+strong if you have good stats) and then Cricket's Body (slightly weaker synergy game compared to Parasite but it's way less likely to kill you/crash your game and is better than Parasite on its own.)

First floor is Ultra Hard, boss rush can be hard to get to. Good thing mom's knife didn't show up because that wouldn't have been fun. Even though I would of liked that item. I also like, Death Certificate, Damocles, Crickets Head, Rock bottom, Magic Mushroom and Godhead. Psy Fly, Revelation, Twisted Pair, D6 or Spindown Dice would be a cool synergy to have. Edmund Mcmillen created Super Meat Boy and I think he is a angel room enjoyer. Thought Devil rooms can be pog too. Sometimes when I get C section or Glitched Crown I laugh at my free win. Polyphemus Crickets Body Proptosis soy milk Sacred Heart + Holy Light and +10 Luck from perfection is my favorite combo. Need me some Lavencas Luck. When I get dead eye incubus R key Red key mega mush spirit sword and brimstone with ipecac it feels like a won run especially with monstros lung and tech X. I love playing the lost and tainted lost, and rerolling is always fun. I also love planetarium items. The Binding of Isaac Repentance is a pretty hard game but I enjoy it, fighting Hush Delirium Mega Satan The Beast and Mother are all fun. I love synergies and bad items. Ya wanna know somethong that happend to me yesatrday? I was doing a t-lost run and it was going really well, I was able to do isaac and blue baby, but now i was a 1 hit. So i took a risk and started the mega satan fight. I was crushing him, until it came to the 4 ultras, I got 2 of them but sloth attacked me with an ipicac ( idk how to spell it) before he died, but I didnt see it. So 1 second later, I die and almost had a rage attack, but I stayed silent and started a new run, this next run was going well, I had blank card, but no holy card. So i get to sheol and found a holy card, but I didnt use it yet. So the room right after, a friendly spider or fly goes into the split death fly, and i die. I had a slight rage, but then I tried again, and for the first time I found c-section (I unlocked it some days ago). And 30 seconds later, I died from that very explosive room, and i snaped. I ran to my bed and screamed into my pillow, then after that I took a screen shot of it on my switch and left. THE END (skill issue. Sorry for the long story) EDIT: I DEFEATED SATAN, LAMB AND MEGA STATAN TODAY YAYAYYAYAYYAAYA.(Got kids drawing and ghost chests. Big w thanks to those 3 failed runs :) )
imo the best runs are the ones without the standard "power" items you can find. Simple stuff that have interesting behaviors, lacryphagy isn't super strong but makes for an interesting playstyle. Maybe I like working harder for my fights, but I can't deny walking into the room and deleting what's inside with a x12 multiplier is beyond satisfaction, it's euphoria.
One of my main problem with glitched crown is that you can breakfast yourself so fast, also you take the best items and not finding more interesting approaches for synergies 😅
my favorite item will always be brimstone because in classic isaac i remember getting it in the first devil deal i got and getting my first win because of it
I almost have dead god but I will never do any other files. I didn't struggle with unlocking everything just to have to do it 2 times more, this is just a very stupid and boring way to make game longer

You can avoid it by letting the chest's opening push move isaac away from the chest when he opens it. It requires patience but it's doable

Spear of Destiny helped by dealing damage and every damage tic will proc Guppy spawning a fly and you had 48 damage.
