Today's TOPIC: DESIRE, A SECRET OF FIRE.
SCRIPTURE: And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. ACTS 2 verse 1 to 3. Hallelujah!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The level of fire you can carry is proportional to the level of your desire. Your level of desire is what determines your level of fire.
It has been established that a healthy desire is one essential ingredient of a healthy Christian life. Desire is likened to fire that keeps a Christian burning for God.
Now, what is desire?
It is a yearning, longing, hunger or thirst for something. Desire is desperation for a particular intention.
Desire can also be defined as a strong attraction for something.
It is important to understand that desire is the secret of fire. When you see a Christian on fire, the secret is desire.
In the same way, when you see a church, ministry or business on fire, the secret is desire. So, desire is a major secret of fire.
The apostles had no appetite for food for a considerable number of days. Pushed by great desire, they locked themselves in the upper room until the fire fell.
Acts chapter 2 verse 1 to 3 says,

The level of fire you can carry is proportional to the level of your desire. Your level of desire is what determines your level of fire.
Your desire for God, your desire for your vision in life, all affect the level of fire you can carry.
The quality of fire people carry is a product of the quality of desire they possess. The difference between two ministries is the difference in their desires. So, desire determines fire.
Beloved, the question is: what is the level of your desire for God? How hungry are you for God? Do you crave and long for God like David in Psalms 42? Or have you become a lukewarm Christian? Ask God to ignite fresh hunger and passion in you so you can be set on fire for Him.
Remember this: The level of fire you can carry is proportional to the level of your desire. Your level of desire is what determines your level of fire.
Take this ASSIGNMENT with you:
#1. What is your current level of desire, longing, passion and hunger for God?
#2. Ask God to increase your passion for Him. Yes sir!
Today's PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the spell of “lukewarmness” and “firelessness.” I ask that You set me on fire Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen!
