I've got a few Sirui products (tripod and monopod) and find they work great. One doesn't need to spend a lot of money on a tripod. Paying a lot of money doesn't mean you get what you need or that you get a good value.
I am buying this tripod for my yearly summertime mountain trip this year as I want a more lightweight option than my Benro iT25 for all-day backpack travel. This review is just what I needed to complete my knowledge about this product. Thanks!
Peter I have one the T-005KX I did not pay for it one of the people I work with found it the recycling bin I have used it with my DSLR and a light lens as it has a small capacity of only 6 pounds I like the tripod head is acco- swiss plate compatible as I have the Peak Design plate on the bottom of the camera and it fits easily on the tripod
Thanks, I'm just now looking for a lightweight tripod! But I don't like twist-tightening legs, even though it makes the tripod lighter and slimmer...maybe it's OK.
Thanks for the video. I have been searching for a tripod recently. I am looking for an extremely lightweight tripod since I travel very light. Ideally, it would be around .5 kg. with an extended height of 60 cm or so. I have located a few, but do you know of any? Thanks again.
Hi Peter. When you said about the 10kg limit and that you can not mount really big cameras.. at what cameras were you referring???? ARRI's cinema rigs? Because ANY mirrorless or dslr camera with battery grip and any 600mm F4 lens is still under 10kg. Cheers!
@@ForsgardPeter I doubt there are any gear that can be considered perfect, but it's possible to find something that's perfect for one's needs at the time.
I just sold my light action tripod because it's simply not stable for windy Denmark 😬 I only bring my table tripod on travels 😊 Off topic. Do you know if using the night vision on om-1 has any effect on the quality and handling of the pictures, against night vision off? I normally use it for my astrophotography, so it's easier to find the milky-way.
@@ForsgardPeter makes it easier to set the right composition at night, so you are sure to get stuff in the frame right away 😊 no need to do test shot first, to see if you are "cutting" anything of the subject 😊
🙏🙏🙏Thank you Pete. I was thinking of buying one. On second thought, when do I need the tripod? When travelling ? Oh no. Too burdensome. I changed my mind. 🤣
Hi Alex. I have had a Joby Gorilla for a number of years, but recently one of the joints got too loose and would no longer function. It was always a little awkward to use.

Glad it was helplful. Yes, I agree that it is not best solution, but it works quite well.
Peter,how you doing?~ yo,that is gorgeous ,🤓

Have seen this one from Neewer? eu.neewer.com/collections/mini-tripod/products/tripods-66600032
@@ForsgardPeter Thanks! I have not seen that one yet. It looks nice.

Yes, everything over 10kg is not ok.
Have you ever used the Peak Design travel tripod? That thing is absolutely tiny and compact but I cant stand the default head.
I have. I agree the head is awful. I use Smallrig videohead now. But then the tripod won’t fit in the bag it came with.
I like my Sirui tripod which is a different model. Sounds like this one needs some work.
But glad to hear the bag is good lol.
There area few things as you saw in the video. There is not a perfect tripod in the market.

I cannot say about the Night Vision that much. Neve tested it. That is something i need do in the near future.

I also travel without a tripod. I do not need it.
Sounds ok,
Is this good for use for a Camcorder such as Panasonic x2000 model?
Yes I guess it can handle that camera. It seems to be small enough.
did you saw Joby gorilla pod?

Jobs tripods have a lot of durability complaints.
