No and I can’t wait to try. I watch you as I get ready for work and then practice usually 10 minutes in morning and try in evening, but usually too tired. My weekends are my painting days.
No, but I wouldn't mind trying it. Nice haircut. I noticed you looked different today. Do you think it takes another female to notice these things? Men usually don't notice unless you tell them.
@@mayloo2137 Oh no fair May. Lol. I noticed it right away, but, as you can see from my post below, was hesitant to mention it. I'm 70, and thing's just aren't the same between men and women as they were when I was even in my 40's. I expect and hope the changes are for the best.
I love your haircut! Definitely drops 10 years off your appearance and I never thought you looked old! Thank you for your video and I always love what you choose and your thoughts on why you choose tools/media the way you do. Have a wonderful evening, Michele!
Because I'm new to water coloring, I've watched hundreds of video's. I've noticed that your video's almost all impart huge amounts of information, and in a way that's easy for me to understand. Lots of your stuff is just brilliant, with examples of things I've never seen anyone else explain or do. Great channel, and I will be taking a water coloring course of yours. Not sure if it's OK to say this nowadays or not, but you look great, and I very much like your haircut. Thank you Michelle.
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber There are several things about your teaching style that I like very much. Firstly, you're not a chatterbox. Secondly, as I mentioned, lots of useful content. I just went through my "Liked" list, and I have 91 of your videos in it. The ones on light, color, shadow and angles are somehow seeping into my everyday life, and impacting the way I see and perceive the world around me. I believe it's probably a natural transitional phase for people who begin to really study art. Everything looks different, with a new depth and vibrancy. Thanks for that Michelle. Sorry to be so wordy.
Love your haircut! Another very helpful tutorial. I have almost all the colors also so this is going to be a very fun exercise for the weekend! Please more on this subject, thank you so much! ❤️💛💙
Really cute haircut. Three primaries is all we need to start. I wish I had that instruction starting out. Now I have many colors but really only ever refill my split primaries and burnt sienna. Lol. Funny how that works out. Thank Michele.
Wonderful! I just painted a landscape and at the end thought "too many different colors!" so this video is very welcome. Mixing primary colors is my next challenge in my beginner's journey. Thank you! And nice hairdo!
What a great video, thank you. I have pallettes with so many choices, I freeze in terror. Not only a meditative practice to limit colours to three, but an economical approach as well. I love your little landscape and your fresh new look is just right for late spring.
love the hair, it looks wonderful! Also love the video, of course ;) I like using fewer materials as a beginner because I think it helps me better understand how my supplies work. Very useful explanations and visual demo of how to mix colors to get the color a person is looking for, thank you!
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber I love mixing colors. I had an art teacher who was into color mixing. I learned to do the same thing, and my palette looked like hers at the end of an art session.
First off, your haircut looks gorgeous!! I am amazed by the amount of colors you have made using the 3 cool primaries. This is definitely a wonderful informational video for learning how to do a mini landscape but mostly using a limited palette & learning how to color mix within that limited palette. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you so much. I have been playing with 3 primaries a lot this week and I have run out of paper space before running out of colours. I was pleased to see how to rescue a colour mix if you have added too much. You really suit that hair style. Perfect !
Thanks , Michelle! You'll be pleased to hear my motorbike engine has disappeared from the kitchen table, and I am heading for pastures new (ish!). The EU has regularised it's covid cert demands, so I'm going to resume my voyage through Europe to Troy. Your video has been timely for me, as I need to paint almost from my lap, the plan being to use watercolour and photography of sites etc. in tandem as a record of the journey. I couldn't get the pink colour tips at the end, but will look again. Hope you and yours are all safe and well, from Den, Abertawe. P.S. The battle of the sexes has started early with my granddaughters, the younger (5) being a foil to the older (7), of course - but here's the opener :' Dad, you're a boy. What does it feel like to be a boy? Is it like being a normal person?!!!'. Couldn't make it up! X

A little off topic but what would you think about adding a tiny hint of sky reflection colour to something light like the path that reflects a lot of light, or, perhaps if there were a big red barn next to it, a hint of the red, in a similar but much more diffuse manner to the more obvious reflections in the water?
What a beautiful painting from only 3 colors. What will I do with the extra 47 colors ? 🤣 You said one color needs to be staining. Why is that? Love love love your haircut!
YES, I would like to know too. And does it matter if the colours chosen are transparent, opaque or a mix? Like the others..I love your hair and the colour. And you are glowing!
Hello Michele, I am wanting to put together a very basic palette to take with me when I am traveling. I know I want at least 6 colors (a warm & cool of each primary), but what else would you consider to be important? I want at least 6 colors but no more than 10. Which 8-10 colors would consider to be essential in such a palette? Also thank you for this video! I am eager to try to make a painting from just 3 colors now.
RUclips doesn't allow links in comments but I have made a video on this. The title is How To Start Watercolor Painting (10 Starter Colors!) Paste it into the search bar with my name. I have also got my own set of colours you can buy, or you can just follow the guidelines and build your own set from any brand.

Great video! I am just so impressed how “selfsufficient” the watercolours are 😍 Just 3 colours and you are good to go for pretty much any subject 🤷♀️

Thank you! Without one staining or at least strong, dark color it would be impossible to get a full range of tones from light to dark.
