There is no contradiction here। एकं सत् विप्रा: बहुधा वदन्ति। Only that each seeker is at various milestones of jeeva yaatra whose final milestone is mukti। Swamiji was describing the final milestone that one strives to achieve। Swamiji is provoking us in his inimitable style। We are forced to think only we are challenged। सत्यं ब्रूयात् प्रियं ब्रूयात् , न ब्रूयात् सत्यम् अप्रियम् । प्रियं च नानृतम् ब्रूयात् , एष धर्मः सनातन: ॥ Swamiji cannot state an untruth for the sake of being pleasant! It is only that many of us have chosen to stop and stay put in an early bus stop or are on the bus to the final stop। When we reach our final bus stop, differences vanish and all become One। The One that appears different, but verily the same। Let us be proud that we are members of Sanatana Dharma that provides us this pathway and let's us think। Our beautiful traditions never forces us to stop thinking। 😊
China Jeeyar Swamy must have been dumbfounded and/or in secret disagreemwnt when Swamyji tore apart the Dwaitha philosophy. It is not my intention to undermine Dwaitha or Chinna Jeeyar Swami. Dwaitha essentially denigrates specifically Advaitha and dubs it as a religion, which it's not. Like Hinduism is a way of life, Advaitha is way to live without dogmatic and superstitious beliefs, yet being devotional by doing Nithya and Naimitthika Karmas. It's being and not believing. Simply putting it, it's an end in itself.
It is good lecture. But the comment that the qualities of God are imagined by humand mind is unwarranted and detrimental to Bhakti. No use hurting sentiments of ordinary devotees not yet fit for advaita vicharam.
Swamiji Lectures are for PhD Devotees, the other 10th class Devotees require more abhyasa (Sadhana) to reach a higher level. This life is very short, need to do more sadhana and reach the ultimate goal of Self Realisation

not very impressive to be honest. his dig at people following traditions was unnecessary and avoidable. seems he came prepared to praise / quote ramakrishna and audience were more appealed by the hype rather than the content experience explained as experiencer, but none seem to notice. of course, i would be dubbed an idiot and i 'realise' that.
With all due respect, it is only an opinion. Is there a shortage of opportunities for those inclined towards devotion and worship? Swamiji was invited to speak on Advaita, and he agreed to come and sit and listen and then use the short time alloted to him to do as he was asked to do. I don't think it is fair to criticize him for doing what he was asked to do. Have you considered that he waited patiently, being assigned the final minutes of a long program, and likely respectfully listened to talks that were contrary to his knowing, perhaps even silly to him. And that he spoke at a podium adorned with flowers, which those who have heard him before know is disturbing to him as he considers flowers living beings as entitled to their lives as you and I. If a practitioner of Bhakti Yoga attends a talk on Advaita and has his feelings hurt, how can there be any blame?

I agree; rather than call them not yet fit, I would say, not yet ready or not qualified yet
