Repentance and remorse are different things. If he repented, he would have turned his ways. Instead he killed himself because all he had was remorse, we are told. If he repented, he wouldn’t have killed himself. He could have been the most influential apostle thereafter, had he repented and spread the word like the rest did. I theorize that he chose money because he was likely disappointed in Jesus not meeting *his* expectation of what he thought a messiah should be, since Judas was possibly a zealot. Regardless of his motives and how God will deal with him, he was needed for the plan to work since the beginning. I do hope he is saved though.
I now see it’s not Judas betrayal of Christ. It’s his despair instead of repentance. He did not believe he was worthy when he could not be worthy. No one is worthy. I often am troubled by this.
I always felt terrible for Judas, it was his cursed fate since someone had to be chosen to betray Jesus to start the process. Judas was so remorseful aren't actions louder than words and yet Judas returned the sheckels and took his own life and yet he's not saved ... I don't understand
Surely god had planned that jesus would be crucified. The fact that Judas helped this to take place with no mistaken identity problem helped it to take place as planned. Judas is a hero therefore.
@@_Elizabeth_theMaid Jesus was supposed to die though… that’s why god sent him right?! 😂 anyone involved in the death of Jesus was just unknowingly carrying out god’s will
There’s no contradiction between Matthew and Luke. He was greedy, and that’s what ultimately led to his possession by Satan. Jesus was destined to be betrayed and to have his blood shed for the remission of our sins since the beginning. Christ simply picked the right man for his job. He was going to turn his back on God regardless
When judas gave jeseus a kiss did jesus know then or before he was to die did god tell him before judas did this i am not this far in the bible yet i am studying Daniel?????
Jesus( hail Zeus) also had a cousin John the Baptist who he spoke more praise than all the apostles... I think John is the true savior and they hardly ever mention John even though he was the one who baptized jesus.
The way I see it is Judas is burning in hell right now and when God has his final cleaning and resurrection of the world and the final judgment comes, that's when he may be forgiven and sit with jesus, but right now I don't think it looks good for him right now? That's how I see it
@@troyboldon1 Judas is paying for his crimes, and if God feels like forgiving him then maybe he will come back? Right now I don't think he looks good for Judas I think he's still feeling the pain
You can't go based on history account and ignore the biblical account. In other words, you're stating God's word has no meaning. It's beneath the word of men.
Many Christians believe that it was God's Will that Jesus should be rejected and killed. IF that were true, then all those who assisted in sending Jesus to the Cross should have been glorified to doing God's Will. Right? Did Judas get glorified and honored for betraying Jesus? Judas threw down the money for he knew he did wrong. Judas has been blamed horribly by Christianity for 2,000 years. Instead of Jesus praising Judas for his act, Jesus only said that it would have been better if that man had never been born. And why would Judas hang himself if he was glorified? He died because he knew he had betrayed Jesus and God in the worst way. Therefore, Judas betraying Jesus was a woeful sin.

Even in real life whenever we are guilty of something we feel like disappearing . But when you remember theres God you become strong .
The devil can only tempt you with qualities you already posses

He wasn’t crucified, he was hung on a post, that was standard back then.
It was called a crucifixion. Therefore he was crucified.@@ExecuteOrder420
No he was a horrible friend. He was trusted and he betrayed Jesus.

True i had the same understanding. Like john, john had a purpose to witness the glorification. Like that Judas's purpose has to be ths betrayal
Now that you mentmention it Judas didn’t have free will if he was destined to betray him 😢

You have a great imagination. You should write another bible. Let your imagine run wild.
If Judas died and went to hell then that's were he will be for eternity. Judgment is final after death, once in hell there is no hope anymore.
