Thanks! The candy melts are essentially stabilized chocolate so they don't melt super easily! Just handle them carefully and they won't melt in your hands or piping on decorations! :)
hi this is amazing by the way - I'm just wondering what tray you use to put the chocolate in and take it out because I've been trying to find a bendable tray for a while !
I actually would not store them in the fridge. It could make the chocolate bloom and get white spots because of the temperature. The candy melts can sit at room temperature and last a long time...not sure how long but probably as long as you'd want them to! 😄
I know right? I use them for ease but they are not the best quality! I would recommend getting some chocolate colorants and using tempered white chocolate. :) That'll taste the best. Or a step up from candy melts is compound chocolate. The flavor is much better and you can also color that. Just be sure your colorants are made for chocolate!
Also curious about how to price the bombs? I'm doing my first vendor booth this Saturday and have made some to take with and am not sure how to decide pricing... I am nowhere near as skilled as you but they did turn out super cute. I am worried that pricing too high will be an issue any tips or suggestions?
This is kind of a personal choice, but I can tell you what I did last year and maybe it can help you to decide. Some bombs are easier to make than others and some are very time consuming. So I sold them in pairs of two (one easier design and one more complicated) and charged $15, which averages to $7.50 per bomb. But really in my mind I was charging $10 for the intricate one and $5 for the simpler one. I actually did pretty well last year and made a lot of money, but I made like nearly 200 hot cocoa bombs! 😆 Anyway, because they are so straining to make that many if I sell them again this year I will actually be increasing the price! So I guess my advice to you is to ask yourself what your time is worth?...and also test pricing for this first vendor booth and see how many you sell. Adjust after that! :)
@@saberhawks4074 I haven't seen that video. Yes you can definitely add flavors inside or in the shell, but just be careful what the extracts are and if they can be adding directly into chocolate or they can make the chocolate seize.
Comment down below which bomb is your fave! 🎃

If I didn't want to use colored candy melts do you have a substitute for colored chocolate that doesn't taste Like chemicals?

To make the black bombs couldn't you jst use white chocolate and add some black coloring gels?
You could definitely do that too!
@@BrittneeKay have you seen the vid on the Bailey's achocol bombs? What about adding cotton candy extract to the shells or gunsh inside them?

Mais le chocolat est tempéré ou pas?
Nope! These are made from compound chocolate, but you can use couverture if you’d like and you would need to temper it first!
