At first, I was put off by the bathroom in the entry way, but by the end of this video, I was sold. That is probably the best use of otherwise dead space I have ever seen. I love this RV, but I gotta ask a few critical questions... - the grey tank is on the wrong side. Every dump station assumes driver side. And there seems to be no standard hose hookup. Is this surreptious dump only? - Is there a water hose hookup in the garage somewhere? - I love the idea of using engine heat for hot water, but is there a water tank temperature sensor somewhere? Also is there a temperature limiter on the faucets to prevent scalding? - How do you dump the fresh water tank and flush the lines? - You mentioned in another video a new rear bumper but we havent seen it. What would be tow rating? - Current license plate mount seems to have no light. - the seal between cab and box seems worrysome- this joint will surely flex on rough roads possibly leading to leakage.

That soap dispenser in the doorway is brilliant, every time someone's shoulder bumps it, a squirt of soap on the floor to make getting in and out more exciting.
This box truck/van has so many amazing features. To date, this one beats what is on the market. Well thought out. Bright and open, yet allows one to close off areas to conserve energy, hot or cold. The clearance is nice too. I would need to learn a bit more about the electrical system.
Just wondering why on a small RV where the cab IS part of the living space (swivel chairs) you would wall-off the cab? I use a insulated exterior cover that fits around the cab glass for privacy and insulation and use the front space as limited part of the living space.. Otherwise I love this rig...
Twin bed be nice for older couples. Door like ekko screen be nice for dog owners or you want to let air in and feel. More secure. Bathroom nice so you don't go thru rv. Rinsing off outside puddle right at your door. Seeing toilet every time you go in and out, need a nice curtain . An outlet at the outside table. Love the basic layout an privacy shade coming from bottom.
Oh man I love this thing! Scout Campers also do the entry shower. I dont understand why more dont do that - its already a stand up space. Its a great spot to leave wet gear. A couple things hold it back for me - the price of a house (not that its not deserving of it after the costs of materials, research and assembly) and the potential for vaporware. There are too many cool products that take deposits and then fail to deliver on the promise, or even at all. I certainly dont have the kind of income that would allow me to take the risk. A suggestion: throw that box on a good trailer frame. Sure some features wouldnt make it across - heating water with the coolant lines, for example. But most of it would be a simple swap. With many newer trucks having the option for a second alternator... Heck you could take that front slider door and have it open onto a small patio or sunroom on the tongue :D
Nice job Chad & Paul. Hard to believe a Class C vehicle with so many excellent features. I won't have to upgrade my driver's license, LOL. I want one!!

We are in a Winnebago Travato with the Volta system and can a;most make it through the evening (8 hours) when it's hot outside (80 degree evening temps). The van will autostart and charge the batteries to keep us going. This is a key feature that rarely gets talked about. This rig is much more efficient and better insulated. How long will the AC run in 100 degree day conditions that might dip into the 80s in the evening?
This was an incredibly thoughtful build, especially on the Ford Transit AWD chassis. One critique would be no kitchen area exhaust fan that airs out. Commonly overlooked, directly above the stove or cooking devices. Thanks, guys.
We have positioned the fan so that it will exhaust cooking odors especially with the window cracked. In our testing it seems to work pretty well and thanks for the feedback.
A Winnebago Ekko MSRPs for more than that. Admittedly, you would pay more like $160K with seller discounts, but would you rather have an Ekko (or Entegra Condor) at $160K or this at $220K? I'm not suggesting that there are not people who would choose the Ekko, but for many the extra money would be worth it. Also worth noting that the Aeon is a foot shorter than the Ekko, is much better configured for offroad use, and is actually slightly more narrow as well so even parking around town would be easier in this.
Interesting, especially since I built a Transit HR AWD van with almost the same setup but I got everything to fit in a 19’6” van with queen e/w bed with small slide on drivers side to get the bed length @ 84”. Almost same mechanicals too with garage and mechanicals under bed from back door for up to 3 bikes, I have no ac though but familiar with mini splits. Nice van and shorter is better IMO.
Thanks for hosting this! Pretty innovative. It's curious that RV builders never thought of "box" vans until Winnebago did it, kinda sad. DYI guys have been doing it for years, generally because they don't have money for expensive RVs, lol. Safe Travels!
FYI the AEONrv was designed before Winnebago came out with the EKKO and we took no inspiration or design ideas from them. For instance we shared our design with the thefitrv folks before they announced they were going to upgrade to the EKKO. I think it just shows the US market was looking for some different options and more innovation.
Its different for sure, many good things, just not sold on it. Id have to definately see it in person. The rear storage is awesome, the off grid is awesome, insulated blocker from the cab is awesome.
I absolutely love this RV. We are seriously considering this for our next rig. Thanks Chad and Paul for the video. I’ve never heard of them until we watched this. I was leaning towards the Ekko next (we have a Revel now), but I think I like this even more.
I absolutely love this unit. Some of the electrical choices are maybe something I wouldn't have done (specifically that 12v -> AC charging) but literally everything else I am loving. The suspension upgrades that we all pay to add to our Sprinters, the top-of-the-line Tern Overland windows.. I'm impressed.
I know this is a year late reply, but perhaps these guys were on to something by running an inverter from the Transit alternator. The Victron thinks it’s “shore power” charging, and it pulls roughly 100A at idle. By contrast, there was quite a number of 48V alternator failures last year, particularly on Sprinter chassis. To my understanding the root cause was heat related, but for owners of high end vans the result was often a stranded van with MB and the DC system providers pointing fingers at each other. Hopefully things have settled down by now as the lead times to get MB authorized service often took longer (and further) than expected.
@@ytJnC were these specifically failures in Volta vans? I hadn't heard about this but I'm looking at a 24v alternator on my Sprinter in the next couple of months and have only heard good things about this approach.

Very impressive and thoughtful build. Duallys can be problem if you’re going off road because of getting mud and rocks stuck between the tires. I am curious what the GVW is with the upgraded chassis.
This works! Not sure about that AC being right above the bed. Kitchen not close to the kitchen is odd but it is only a few steps. Love the better rough road capabilities.
I like it, and a lot of the features I've been planning on for my own build... but way out of my price range at $195K. Wow... And the garage isn't large enough for my bikes.
Its cool looking rig. It needs an entrance grab bar and all RVs need a dedicated flat spot lower than the mattress for a CPAP. CPAPs needs to be somewhat lower than the user.
Thank you for featuring this. Interesting video Is there an outside receptacle for the flip down table? It would be smart & clean to locate a receptacle inside the compartment the table closes into. Price range? Options? It’s kind of boxy and plain. But expedition vehicles generally have a more chunky & rugged design. The overall quality, design, efficiency & functionality looks good. I would change the logo. The big bold print on the outside is a bit garish.
The website says 4-person recreation vehicle but I don't see how 4 people can ride in this? Seatbelts in the dinette? But I like the design for two people and you can close off the bedroom. Although the rear is taken up with the AC. Prefer storage racks and moving the spare tire there if Off-Roading.
Yes, there are two three point harness seatbelts on the front-facing side of the dinette. The vehicle in this video is a prototype so it didn't have them installed but you can see the channel slots for them in the video. They connect to an aluminum plate bolted to the frame so they should be fairly safe. That said, the dinette seat isn't super wide so it would be for two kids, not for two normal-sized adults.
Very well thought out. I love the bathroom at the entry, close off to the cabin. Also him mentioning that he is 6ft. People forget about big men when talking about builds...I'm 6"4'.
Fun to watch Chad get all excited.Love that innovation continues to spark more innovation. Nice rig! I’d have to get used to the walk in thru the bathroom idea. 🤙
Beautiful designed and spacious RV. The brightness feels not claustrophobic and the coolest thing is the walk in-shower in the entrance. I think that's genius to regards of space usage. Well done
Absolutely love it and want one. 💫 Ready to order after the Summer. Looking forward to spending quality time in this rig. Thanks for always bringing the quality goods to us. All the best! ✨💛✨
I like the idea of the bathroom doubling as the entry way, but it looks like it’s only practical in warmer weather…it doesn’t seem like a 4 season build. I can’t see someone showering in their entry way in the dead of icy-windy winter conditions
They use adhesives. I don't think a power bed can be installed. Besides, there's already tons of storage under the bed in the gear garage. It also has the water tank and water filtering system under there.
I love the fact that it looks like a box truck and an apartment at the same time. The homely air conditioner compressor hanging of the backend is too much, I hope that thing gets smaller. I'd have to peal/paint their name off because it reads "rv". Otherwise it's stunning!
Having been married to an electrical engineer who worked with software people with some truly questionable skills in the electrical area, I would have this reviewed before I bought it. But I really love the overall design and implementation!
I built basically the same camper on a Ford E350 cutaway van with a 14'5 box with a 84" ceiling height and 79" with. I wanted the 7.3 gas motor for towing a jeep on a trailer. I have 1,200 watts of solar panels and 900 amp hours of lithium batteries. I went with a 9,000 btu mini split ac/heat pump. 12.2 gallons of propane with a Propex HS2000 propane heater. It doesn't have 4x4 but it does have a limited slip differential. Nice video 👍
Hi: These are thoughtful improvements on this build, along the lines of what I was thinking too. By box do you mean you built the external siding or just used stock walls?
@@TheAllang123 it's a FedEx spec van 2021. with a sliding side door and 70/30 rear doors. It has a single rear wheel axle with 4.56 gears. Getting 11.4 to 12.8 mpg. The gray tank has 1" of high density foam insulating it plus is passively heated by the engine coolant lines as they go to the hot water heater. There is also a backup 12V tank heater pad. There is a 2" dump valve and a standard hose bib actuated ball valve you can open/close from inside to dump the gray tank.
Without dually's in the rear, I'm always concerned with GVW and it does look like a heavy build. It would have been nice to know the weight of the rig.
Great RV, great design elements. Small and practical for everyday use. I get that. But 200k, some other Class B Rv's go for half that with all the amenities. What a shame, the Ford transit chassis goes for what, 35-45k? The box is worth 150k? Think I'll wait till something else pops up in the market that's more affordable. Again, love the unit just wish it was reachable for the majority of us who actually want something compact and practical.
I love it. Literally everything about it. My wife hates it 🤦🏼 but it’s fine because I can’t afford it anyhow 🙁. The water it holds is amazing, the power pack you can get plus upgrade the charging system and WOW it’s a power beast. I’d love to put some black graphics on it of trees and mountains on the sides. You know what I mean. Would look super cool. Great video guys 👍🏼👍🏼
Clutch! Checks all the boxes! Once you get past the negative feng shui of the toilet next to the front door .... this is the ultimate! Would like to see havlock wool as an option for the insulation -- otherwise, this is a bit of a masterpeice for a world in economic flux and climatic change. Couple of questions --- glue (for cabinets / fiberglass, etc.) --- what is it? Any off-gassing? Can you order the Ford chassis in Eco-Boost? Suggestion: Where the drawers and steps are beneath the bed -- give an option for a dog-friendly climate controled crate (instead of the drawers). Do this -- and you've nailed it! WAY better than the Ekko. Bring the price down, a bit, and they won't be able to keep up with the orders.
Hi Chad and Paul. Ive been watching your channel for a few weeks now, catching up on some episodes. We are considering getting a 59KL as well and are learning so much from you both. I noticed in a previous video, you mentioned how wonderful the AC is and that you can leave your dog in the van. I think thats great. But, for those days when leaving him behind causes you to not enjoy your outing, or feel some stress, have you ever considered getting a dog stroller? I know, I know, men usually have an issue with this. But, after much debate, my husband and I ended up getting one for our two small dogs and are so much more relaxed having them with us. They love it! Ours has a drk screen and most people believe we are pushing a stroller with a baby. Shop keepers that do relize we have dogs, think its a great idea and allow us to shop. We have a double, but there are singles that are so narrow and fold up umbrella style. Im sure you guys have alredy worked out all the day to day challenges of van life with your dog and forgive me for getting in your business, but I just thought I would mention, in case you’ve not heard of the dog strollers. Ours has allowed us freedom that we didn’t think possible while traveling with pets. Thank you for the videos.
Very practical, useful, no nonsense van..... Only thing is lacks is a "cool factor" to allure the masses. But really comfortable, practical, van that checks lots of points when making a list about what we all want in a van. I enjoy the detailed explanation of the "Key" guy. 👍
Jorge-I think this rig is big 😎‘ly! (Literally and fig). Straight forward, no nonsense, smart tech, as off grid as you’d ever need short of Earth Roamer clas$. A total composite house, Van Compass’d from the get go, top end cab, ecoboost performance. Take it to get wrapped for aesthetic/cosmetic wants, but give me plain, quiet and stealthy cool-inside and out. Cheers.
Love Flagstaff..... That locking insulated door is a really nice bonus! Seems like they engineered this unit really well, choose all good products to install, and looks well done.... I also like they extra precautions they took for safety... Interesting how they used a mini split!!!!! interior could use a little more style to it, I would probably recover the seating and add a more fashionable bed covering.... I only say that having spent 35+ years in residential and hospitality design as well as designing a few tour buses and a plane for some vip customers.. and see the potential... I hope you boys are doing great! xoxo Randolph
I would say a rig such as this should be selling at a pricetag of $83k It is like a mini Class B motorhome... yet is reflecting a price point of a Class A motorhome!!! They'd need to do some serious work to get it down to a respectable asking price before we would even entertain buying one. Sorry... just seen too many RV's and this price is way out pf the affordable ballpark, for whats being offered! My opinion... It is beautiful though...
You can't get a new Winnebago Solis Pocket for under 96k. lol Even the short entry level B van Thor Rize starts at 104k. Good luck finding all this at 83k ;)

This is so well thought out and designed. As soon as I had a thought of oh they forgot this or that, Jim would cover it with a great feature or solution. Enter through the bathroom is a bit odd but a great use of space. Maybe a way to better close off the toilet side when not in use would be helpful.
Is there any way to find out about fuel(gas/diesel)source, tank size, approximation of mpg? Sadly, this has become a major consideration with fuel prices. Thanks! Some genius innovations in this build!
I like that everything is electrical, including induction oven, love the dinette with window. Don’t like that there are no windows in the bedroom except for the skylight (feels confining and can’t view scenery), don’t like the big a/c above the bed, and I definitely don’t like the $199k “starting” price from their website. 😬
Great review, as usual! Don't know if you guys take requests or not but I would dearly love to get your opinions of a Provan Bengal Tiger. it is a seemingly extremely well designed camper integrated into a Ford, Ram or Chevy 4x4 350 series pickup chassis.

Is there an outside receptacle for the flip down table? It would be smart & clean to locate a receptacle inside the compartment the table closes into.
Price range? Options?
It’s kind of boxy and plain. But expedition vehicles generally have a more chunky & rugged design.
The overall quality, design, efficiency & functionality looks good.
I would change the logo. The big bold print on the outside is a bit garish.
They added the flip down outside table now, perhaps your idea? Agree, delete the "AEON RV" print on the outside
No screen door?
Very well thought out. I love the bathroom at the entry, close off to the cabin. Also him mentioning that he is 6ft. People forget about big men when talking about builds...I'm 6"4'.
Fun to watch Chad get all excited.Love that innovation continues to spark more innovation. Nice rig! I’d have to get used to the walk in thru the bathroom idea. 🤙
Yeah, I was looking at the Ekko, but maybe this may be the wiser-choice, especially with the upgraded-suspension & front seating arrangements...
Beautiful designed and spacious RV. The brightness feels not claustrophobic and the coolest thing is the walk in-shower in the entrance. I think that's genius to regards of space usage. Well done
Yes, totally agree.
I’m totally agree
Absolutely love it and want one. 💫 Ready to order after the Summer.
Looking forward to spending quality time in this rig. Thanks for always bringing the quality goods to us. All the best! ✨💛✨
Brilliant. Love the bathroom entry way… perfect for rainy muddy days to use as a staging area to clean off and keep from tracking things in!
I like the idea of the bathroom doubling as the entry way, but it looks like it’s only practical in warmer weather…it doesn’t seem like a 4 season build. I can’t see someone showering in their entry way in the dead of icy-windy winter conditions
Why not, you would have the door closed. You aren't showering outside.
Well thought out....finally a deep sink.. .need a power lifting bed for more storage....
Wish they did a cabover for storage
Having been married to an electrical engineer who worked with software people with some truly questionable skills in the electrical area, I would have this reviewed before I bought it. But I really love the overall design and implementation!
Another upgrade for extended off-grid use would be a recirculating shower.
Except for the bulkhead wall and door everything was basically square.
This made it easier and cheaper to build. But it is still taking longer than I thought it would.
Which model is the mini split?
Very nice but I don’t know if I figuratively and literally can get pass that bathroom.
Hmmm, where would one plug in the induction burner if placed on the exterior drop down table?
Run a short extension cord through the kitchen window right above and plug into the 20A plug about 5 feet away.
Kool Dude/Owner. Shiner Bock beer in his fridge!!! I’m his BFF already. Clever walk through bathroom 🚽 for entry. Dimmable lights!!!! Electrical… 12v VS 24v VS 48V… hmmm? Live n Work’n RV, smart. Watts VS Amps, need to decide as an industry what we want to use to measure for sanity of customer. Volta does watts, everyone else does confusing Amp Hours. He is cool, but talks like an engineer. He needs a Chad RUclips Glamour course. Pantry & trash is cool . Bedroom with A/C is awesome. GLOW IN THE DARK steps !! ❤️ the A/C system; Clever !!! SLIPPERY MODE !!! Like to see the incorporation of marine-grade materials and assembly thoughts. Cheers to the Dirt Bags Paula Chad ;) WGO Ekko better take some notes. Price ?? Thx for sharing C n P
Very nice design, but as one gets old, they tend to get up in the middle of the night. Crawling over each other is no Buenos
How or where do you dump your gray tank. Is the gray tank insulated allowing the rug to be true 4 season capable?
The gray tank has 1" of high density foam insulating it plus is passively heated by the engine coolant lines as they go to the hot water heater. There is also a backup 12V tank heater pad. There is a 2" dump valve and a standard hose bib actuated ball valve you can open/close from inside to dump the gray tank.
So many great features, why can't we see prices?
Without dually's in the rear, I'm always concerned with GVW and it does look like a heavy build. It would have been nice to know the weight of the rig.
About 8,300 lbs with full 31 gallons of gas so 1,200lbs OCCC.
@@jimritchie8966 Thank you sir!
#3 on the like, #1 on the comment...great video guys i had alot of fun that day on the live, alot of cool stuff
Would love to see a mountain bike going into the storage area to get a better feel for the size and ease of use.
It seems like everyone either loves or hates the location of the bathroom. Seems it would be wise to offer an alternative location.
The bathroom is really interesting that is innovation any idea how much this cost and I wonder if the booth come with any seatbelt
Great Rig with unique new ideas
the bathroom in the entry door??
One Word: WOW!!!!
Finally a well thought out with attention to detail!
Please tell me you can get it in any other color than white?👌
Hi Paul Chad and Orlando hope you all well! Miss you! Happy Fourth of July!
It IS already built on the Ford 3.5L Eco Boost V6 engine
havlock wool? there's no gaps to place it in unlike a van.
@ledtass0 It's not what you say, it's HOW you say it.
@@leannemeissner6344 HAVLOCK WOOL?!!! THERE'S NO GAPS TO PLACE IT IN UNLIKE A VAN!!!!!😜
@@ledtass0 😄 That WAS funny!
Where is the water located, inside, or under rig?
Fresh water tank is in the heatable garage.
Nice video thanks 😊
I use 1 for my doggo all the time
where is the condenser for the split system?
Very well done.
Cheers.
Love, love love!
Yes the style is the major thing missing I think, especially at this price point
whatis the price on this super cool AEOn R.V. ? AND WHERE TO GET ONE
Fantastic rig ❤️❤️❤️
Many interesting ideas here.
What is the CCC and the tow rating?
I love everything about it except the kitchen. I don't like all electric. Som in trying to figure out how to put a gas stove and tanks.
I would say a rig such as this should be selling at a pricetag of $83k
It is like a mini Class B motorhome... yet is reflecting a price point of a Class A motorhome!!!
Beautiful rig, unique layout with the shower at the entrance!
PRICE FOR THOSE INTERESTED:
The first true all-season, electric cabin, off-road capable, new and modern, 4-person recreational vehicle - $194,500 plus fees and taxes
Why not show the ac condenser on the rear?
It's getting redesigned.
Better off investing $200k (plus tac, registration, insurance) into Tesla shares and reap the rewards to buy an RV
Maybe in 2010. lol
Very well thought out. I’ll never be able to afford it, but still..👍🏼
This is so well thought out and designed. As soon as I had a thought of oh they forgot this or that, Jim would cover it with a great feature or solution. Enter through the bathroom is a bit odd but a great use of space. Maybe a way to better close off the toilet side when not in use would be helpful.
Great idea, the shower curtain is designed so you can hide the toilet and sink if guests are coming over.
Is there any way to find out about fuel(gas/diesel)source, tank size, approximation of mpg? Sadly, this has become a major consideration with fuel prices. Thanks! Some genius innovations in this build!
31 gallon gas tank, typically 11-13MPG depending on conditions and how you drive.
that tail pipe would get ripped out first time it was off road and the ekko you're not crawling over someone in bed.
I like that everything is electrical, including induction oven, love the dinette with window. Don’t like that there are no windows in the bedroom except for the skylight (feels confining and can’t view scenery), don’t like the big a/c above the bed, and I definitely don’t like the $199k “starting” price from their website. 😬
Hello, you can make a camper for a two-door Ford F 250
Great review, as usual! Don't know if you guys take requests or not but I would dearly love to get your opinions of a Provan Bengal Tiger. it is a seemingly extremely well designed camper integrated into a Ford, Ram or Chevy 4x4 350 series pickup chassis.
