- What do you think could be the most canon answer for these?
My guess about the Mewo part is either Sunny's Mom or Dad have her... hopefully

For the first one I think Sunny is dealing with his phobias because the fact that they're moving soon to another city triggered something in him and that's why things from the truth began leaking into Headspace, deep down he knows that this is his last chance at facing the truth, his traumas and finally getting rid of his guilt
Yes and also it's said (I don't really remember where) that by the last few weeks Sunny had been better and that he was getting closer than usual to the truth
Very true. Also normally he isn’t completely alone in his house and his power was out for all three days. I’m assuming when Sunny got food in the middle of the night he would usually turn the lights on and I’m sure he wouldn’t feel as scared when it’s bright.
The phobias themselves have prevented Sunny from getting close to the truth.
Headspace would reset whenever the gang died (minus Omori himself since he is immortal) and we can see that by the many skeletons throughout the game as well as the ones that Omori hid away in the abyss.. I'm assuming for the last four years until the last few days that Sunny would be dreaming the exact same dreams over and over until he made progress in rediscovering the truth. The last few days was his final chance and was his first and only attempt to actually make it pass Humphrey (since that was the last obstacle he wasn't able to make it past during the four years, and I'm going to assume getting over his phobias in the last few days played a big part in him finally beating Humphrey since the ost of Humphrey sounds a lot like the thalassophobia theme).
The phobias themselves also prevented Omori into going into Blackspace 2 to rediscover fragments of the truth. Of course by that point Omori had more control than Sunny and used the defeat of the phobias to suppress the piano telling Sunny that at this point it was too late to tell the truth and to move on for tomorrow's moving day. While he could discover fragments of the truth in Black space 2 so Sunny can see them.. by that point Sunny gave up and it no longer matters since it was too late for Sunny to do anything, but also because Omori knew Sunny will never forgive himself after ignoring for so, so long.. not after abandoning his friends for that long..
@@Zetsuboulurkswithin About how he went to Blackspace for the first time after four years, I really disagree, because we can see that when Omori "kills" the dreamworld Basil and then goes to the throne made of hands, there are also other pieces of past Basils who where killed by Omori when arrived at that point, meaning he actually probably succeded to go there many times
But isn't it possible aswell that he simply didn't had to deal with his phobias in the first place? All of his phobias are only affecting Sunny when he is outside of his room. So in the last 3 days, Sunny's Mom isn't home to may bring him food over the day to his very room (I think his mom had to support her son, as he became a hikkikomori after his trauma). But under these circumstances he finally had to face the "outside world" as he has to go to get his own meal or in the main route, decides to meet Kel again. Aubrey even states that sunny wasnt seen in the last 4 years and its realistic that he doesnt has any business in his house which furthermore reminds him of Mari, so why not just stay in your Room allday?
I'll try to answer these questions but, they are mostly theories
1: Sunny doesn't fight his phobias everyday, but I assume he still does so regularely. Headspace recquires Sunny to fight his fears, and there's hints that Omori's group have been to these places at another point in time (None remember because it seems Headspace ocasionaly has a full reset). So i'd say he fights them only when needed really, i'd say once or twice per month. He regains those fears because Headspace's reset would probably cause his mind to reset aswell
2: Honestly there's 3 theories about Mewo...Either she's at Sunny's new home in advance, she died of old age, or Sunny witnessed Mewo dying somehow and is blamming himself for it
3: It's hard to tell, for the Hero scene, it could be Sunny himself was playing the piano if he was hallucinating. Someone had to be playing the piano, and since he got close maybe he was subconciously playing it? There is some text saying that Sunny did play a bit of piano before getting his Violin...But the ghost theory is alot more believable to me
4: Sadly this one has no concrete answer, every theory is more of an opinion.

I believe it's euthanasia bcz Mewo dies of sacrifice ,something not many characters in the game do.

I headcanon Spirit! Mari is a ghost, helping Sunny overcome the truth.
I don't think Sunny would hallucinate Mari telling him to forgive himself, especially with Omori constantly putting him down in the last stand. With Hero also hearing the piano at the same time as Sunny is also another little point

I stick with the version of Mari's spirit mostly because of that moment with Hero, cuz two people can't have the same hallucinations

I believe I read somewhere that Mewo ran away after Mari's death.

“Apperently” cause this is coming from the players perspective I think. We don’t know what actually happened to mewo because she just disappears after Mari death (aka the time period were playing the game)

I'm pretty sure Sunny's parents knew about the TRUTH and that's why in one of the little area in white space we can see sunnys dad cutting down the tree where Mari was and saying that "you're no son of mine" we didn't know why he was saying that but maybe it's cause of what he did to mari

i remember that moment and wondering if his parents knew and thats something he acutally said or if his parents dont know and that is a manifestation of sunnys self hatred and how he imagines his father would react

That and also in blackspace 2 (the docks), you can interact with a whispering box that shows a textbox of Sunny's mother comforting him presumably after Maris death saying something like "I know what we should do. Its ok Sunny". I can't remember exactly what she said. But I think she had the intention of protecting Sunny after finding out.
i think the mari thing was that it was actually Mari's ghost, and people with a close enough connection (her brother and malewife) can see it
i feel like the predictions of hero's and the others' reaction are either "i forgive you, it was an 4 year old accident and you've suffered enough already", "i don't know how to feel, but i will distance from you and basil for a bit cause i need time to think it over", and *"DIE"* and i feel like they would react the first way personally.
Tbh I think only Kel would react that first way
Aubrey would probably be mad at first but forgive Sunny rather quickly due to the lake scene with Basil
Hero would probably take the longest to forgive Sunny due to Sunny killing his love, then hiding it as a suicide while Hero fought with depression and constantly blamed himself for not being there
TLDR:Kel and Aubrey would probably forgive quickly, Hero would probably take awhile
Personally, I think it would be the second option initially then eventually the first option.
At first, they'd obviously feel depressed and maybe even betrayed. Especially Hero, since he was depressed for almost a year and blamed himself for Mari death.
I feel like they'd be more upset about being lied to rather than the event that resulted in Mari's death. Like what the first reply said, Aubrey did something similar with Basil at the lake scene. Aubrey literally did the same thing, but Basil just didn't end up dying. At the end of the day, Mari is still gone no matter how she died. They'd probably just wished that Sunny didn't lie about her death and cause even more issues. That's just my interpretation though

I feel Aubrey would accept the truth because she almost killed Basil in the normal route. Kel would try to still keep in touch with Sunny as he tries to accept the truth, Hero doesn’t talk to anyone in Faraway for like a year or so because he loved Mari and doesn’t know how to feel.
Mewo was probably put down and the stabbing of Mewo in Blackspace is how Sunny imagined Mewo being put down, or Mewo is just missing and Sunny thinks she is dead.

Considering the punishment room, and that when you sacrifice the cat in orange oasis headspace gets heavily distorted, I assume that while Sunny was grieving he... lashed out at Mewo.
Edit: One more thing about Mewo definitely worth considering. After Sunny and Basil fight, Sunny seems to almost enter a symbolic afterlife or limbo. The first thing we see there is Mewo who leads Sunny to his house and Basil, who is also in a near death state. Then once we go inside the house we see Mari. Sunny is near death, Basil is near death, and Mari is deceased, so that also strongly points to Mewo being deceased.
Fun fact: the cat doesn’t need to be sacrificed, just say no when prompted and talk to the cat butler guy
I think it might be mewo was put down, due to the vetinary scene and the butler saying mewo has been bad

@@pollylyre aside from sacrificing mewo to escape the room, you could go to the usual menu where there's the option to stab omori, then u could escape that damn punishment room. welp too bad if u didnt know it 😔 ( i didnt speak english as well)
My headcanon is that Sunny’s dad took Mewo in the divorce and the only reason why is cause the thought that Mewo is dead hurts me too much
Edit: there’s also stuff at the cemetery implying that spirits are canon to the Omori universe, there’s a line of dialogue one of the NPCs has about how restless the spirits have been lately so I think it’s a good possibility that Mari is a ghost. I also think it adds a bit to the final duet cause it implies that they did finally get their duet, and that perhaps Sunny has finally let her go.
while sunny's dad taking mewo is a possibility, mewo appears with mari's ghost during the piano room scene, which implies she's also a ghost. the punishment area also seems like sunny's idea of putting down a pet, which makes me think mewo was euthanized

Id imagine hellmari is a hallucination, but spirit Mari is real, considering Hero says he heard the piano playing in the dead of night when it was Spirit Mari playing it. I would think Mewo is with Sunnys mom at the new house in the city as well, considering Sunny literally needs reminders to take care of himself, I doubt he could take care of a cat on top of that.
my headcanon for mewo is that they just starved to death inside Sunny's house after the stairs incident because nobody was taking care of them (idk mewo's gender)
my assumption about mewo was that he had to get put down which is why hes in a vet like office in the ounishment room
and about people knowing the "truth" i see it as that being the reason we dont see sunnys father present in the game. whether he left because he knew the truth or he couldnt cope with the loss is up to interpretation obvi

I'll try to answer those questions
1-Its either Sunny had to face his phobias at some points like once in week or month when have to get down the stairs and sunny had his phobias before the Truth accident the game mentions it in the lost library when it says that sunny was about to jump off the statute when started to look down he was trembling his ears were begin to ring( acrophobia ) and then a spider falls on his shoulder( arachnophobia) and then he falls in the lake and starts drowning ( Thalassophobia ) , or it could be that he didn't ever get down the stairs and when he had to eat or drink his mom will bring him food and water and the bathroom is upstairs so technically sunny doesn't need to get down the stairs until the day his moving and his mom is gone and he *have* to get down the stairs and that's when the real world gameplay starts
2-mewo is taken to the new house sunny is moving in and sunny's mom took mewo with her to the new house, the black space room is sunny's fear of something bad happening to mewo and when butler says "mewo has been very...very mean" he refers to when mewo had walked on the juice puddle kel's juice box spilt and walked through the whole house
3-i dont think the white dress mari is hallucinations but i do think the hellmari is a hallucination since only sunny cam see her but the white dress mari is actually mari herself but as a ghost and since hero have heard her when she plays the piano he didn't assume that sunny was the one playing since he was far from the piano
Hero: "whoa you scared me there sunny i could've sworn i heard someone playing the piano" ( it's impossible for two people to hallucinat the same thing at the same time)
And it seems that ghost mari can enter sunny's headspace
In two days left in headspace mari is waiting in the north of the stump and she's not in a picnic spot which is suspicious since headspace mari can't get far away from the picnic spot and that's a rule OMORI made and after the walk with "mari" she transforms into ghost mari and says sunny i miss you rather then omori and when you meet the actual headspace mari, mari says what's the matter omori? Aren't you happy to see you're sister? And she says that becuase of omori's confused expression he was like: "i just saw you seconds ago walking on water and transforming into a ghost"
So the mari in the picnic spot is not the same mari you meet in the area north of the stump
4- im not 100% sure sunny's dad knew about the truth but i am sure no one else knew about the truth except sunny and basil (well sunny forgot about the truth because of his dissociative amnesia) and police officers don't usually come to "suicide" scene without someone calling them especially in japan and the only evidence of the truth accident is maris hair on the broken violin and her blood on the sheet music which is probably burned or hidden with the broken voilin in the toy box in the closet downstairs
5-sunny's friends did forgive him but not as them saying "that's fine we forgive you"
Instead it will be more emotional and it will be heavy but knowing kel aubrey and hero i can tell they did forgive him and basil and alot burden will be gone becuase they thought mari committed suicide but after the truth their questions has been answerd and the scene when basil opens his eyes is after sunny says the truth and if sunny's friends didn't he wouldn't be smiling instead he would do the OYASUMI, i see alot of people saying kel will forgive sunny immediately but if he didn't forgive aubry for pushing basil into the lake why would he forgive sunny? But after the aubrey talking in the backyard of sunny's house he will understand
Now comes aubery aubrey knows what it feels to blame oneself of killing someone else and knowing her she would forgive sunny
Now comes hero, hero is the most reasonable and mature one of the friend groupe and he didn't blame aubrey of trying to kill basil and knowing him he wouldn't blame sunny

I think it would take way more time for them to forgive sunny and Basil, like more than 2 months cause realizing that what you believed for 4 years was a lie is a bit too much to handle, and they'd probably view them as murderers for some time, and I also think that the reason that Basil and sunny smiled is probably cause they overcame all the guilt and forgave themselves and moved on.
*events take place in Japan* 20 dollars that Kel asked Sunny: am I some kind of joke to you? ... well, except that this is the world of the “man in the high castle” and these are dollars from the Pacific States of America, and if I remember correctly from the canon of “the man in the high castle” the PSA did not have its own police and the Kempetai was in charge of everything... so. .. damn, damn, my thoughts are crazy...

I think that Mewo was really bad and the vet ended his life. Sunny ( who must’ve been young ) saw it as if it was his fault and thought that if Mewo must’ve died was because he was a bad cat owner and in his nightmares blames the fault on himself
Yeah, it's weird thinking that Sunny and Basil hided the truth so perfectly... I mean, there's blood in the Violin and the Music Sheet, but also there should be blood in the bed where Sunny carried Mari. Or in the stairs y'know
Also, it's confirmed that in the "truth reaction", it is the reaction of the group to the truth ? I mean, it can be their faces seeing the bad ending or a neutral ending.

2 Theories i have.
1: SUNNY’s mom simply took MEWO back because he wasnt in a good state to take care of an animal.
2: MEWO died from not being fed due to SUNNY’s mental state at the time.
cats live about 9-13 years, assuming MEWO was about 5, it's safe to say she died of age
One more question: What's the music you used in the end? It's really good

Mewo: Most likely, the mom took Mewo with her to the new home. It would make sense, as Sunny is in no condition to properly care for an animal. I _highly doubt_ Sunny stabbed Mewo. He has dark thoughts about it, but I doubt he'd actually have acted on them.
Mari's Ghost: Most likely, yes, Hero hallucinated hearing the music. He was in the perfect set of conditions for hallucinations himself, and despite it being 3 years -ish after he "got over" the trauma, he never really "got over" it, and it's obvious that it still hurts him.
Anybody Else Know?: A lot of times, autopsies are never performed unless foul play is suspected, especially in cases where it appears that harm was self-inflicted. A broken neck would be the result of either a fall, or what they did to cover it up. Bruises take awhile to show up, and any bleeding could have been absorbed by Mari's quite full head of hair and this happened in suburbs where cops are far more likely to be lax rather than meticulous like bigger city cops might be. Also, can we mention how absurdly ridiculous the whole scenario is? Most youtubers who play the game are blindsided by "The Truth", in fact several of them guess it ahead of time and then dismiss it going "Naw, that's just ridiculous, surely that ain't it?" ... if it's that unbelievable with all the symbolism leading up to the whole thing, picture yourself in the cops' shoes when they show up to someone hanging from a tree with a broken neck and thinking it was anything other than her doing that to herself.
What happens after: If the Basil cutscene happened after Sunny told them (it is shown Chronologically after the "I have to tell you something..."), I don't think Sunny could manage such a warm smile to Basil after being rejected by his friends. Such rejection would surely destroy Sunny as that's one of the things Omori attacks Sunny with "your friends will never forgive you" "they'll hate you as much as you hate yourself" ... if Omori actually wound up being right, this would have surely hit Sunny hard and he wouldn't be smiling at Basil. I imagine they would be shocked, but after a second... Aubrey would probably be the first to realize that she almost killed Basil in the same way, Kel would likely be hurt, but understanding and Hero... surely Hero being older would understand why the two 12 year olds panicked and hid the truth.
Mari is probably a ghost. The scary versions of her are most likely what Sunny is seeing because he feels guilty n yada yada but the piano playing that Hero is able to hear, and when we talk to her before entering the deep well couldn’t just be hallucinations. (I mean I guess can but I prefer her being a ghost.) Not only that, but remember when Basil’s grandma died and we saw her at the crossroads? And also remember how the old guy at the cemetery was talking about talking to ghosts? Its obvious ghosts exist in this world, so Mari being a ghost is very likely.

1:47 it is actually possible for hallucinations to pass between people who have come into close contact with each other, so it was most likely that mari is a hallucination that was shared from sunny to hero
yeah and basil and sunny have shared hallucinations too. anyway in that scene i think that the piano was actually played, but sunny was doing it instead of mari while hallucinating

I believe that Theres enough proof of the group forgiving Sunny
1-It was an accident, Sunny was 12 and he did it due to his anger. Sunny didnt mean to kill her so Unless Sunny lied (which I dobut a lot) he would be forgiven
2-Mari died, and nothing can change that. It doesnt matter why did Mari die at this point, the group is partially moving on, yea, Sunny hid the truth for 4 years, yet if he explains himself why did he hide it, it wouldnt be such a big deal
3-They are all thogether now. When Mari died everyone separated from Each other, they couldnt come to good terms and it was hard to process, now that they all are back this is way easier to digest
4-Sunny had it the worst. Sunny spent 4 years locked in his house, dreaming of a paradise because the guilt of what he did kept coming back, his dad didnt seem to care and left, and his mother is absent, to add more he is malnourished and has allucinations, not even Hero had it that bad
I could keep writing more points but they are realted to the 4 I mentioned and explained
Overall I believe Sunny would be forgiven quite fast knowing the situación, and about his friends, its the same everyone says. Kel is Kel so he forgives Sunny, Aubrey almost did the same as Sunny so she forgives him, Hero is mature so he would forgive it
(btw I have a theory of the City being nearby faraway, like 30 minutes away by car, due a tall hospital being in a small Town makes no sense, so communicating with his faraway friends would be easy, and they get all the time to think about the truth.)
As for the Hero, I think he will need much, much more time. Yes, he is the oldest and smartest and seems to understand what these two went through, but he was in love with Marie, and feelings often drown out the voice of reason. And it still seems to me that Sunny’s father left because he thought that he had raised a maniac for 12 years. Think for yourself what they had: Marie’s hanged body (with injuries that physically cannot be sustained by hanging), Sunny’s broken violin (all covered in Marie’s blood and hair), then the idea naturally arises that he beat her with a violin and hanged her to hide what he had done.

Sunny prob pulled a fight club moment and imagined mari playing the piano while he is watching but actually played it himself or Hero is drunk
0:14 - Did SUNNY have to deal with his phobias everyday for 4 years? In my opinion, I think no, because when mom told him that they were moving, maybe it set off some kind of trigger in SUNNY, and the truth began to seep into the headspace. SUNNY began to realize the truth. But whether SUNNY continues to seek the truth, or continue to live in obscurity, is up to the player to decide.
0:42 - There is 2 versions. 1 version - MEWO ran away from home and got lost. She was never found. 2 version- this is the sadder version. SUNNY was devastated by what happened, because when her parents weren't home, he killed her, like in the "Punishment Room" blackscape. Plus, there are more hints about this in the game as related to drawings in a notebook, and blackspace. Well, or MEWO just died of old age
11:11 - I think HELLMARI, when SUNNY save her in the mirror and others place, this not real MARI. This HELLMARI is the personification of his deed (act), since MARI was hanged and HELLMARI's neck was twisted. And the black white MARI, I think this is the real ghost of MARI. MARI wants to help her brother get rid of guilt, so she leads him to the truth. Why didn't she show up sooner? As I said in the first theory, when SUNNY got triggered, the truth started to leak out, and that was the perfect moment for GHOST MARI to help SUNNY find the truth.
1:56 - I think only SUNNY's parents know the really truth. I don't think they would share details with others. Also, that SUNNY's parents knew the truth is also confirmed in the blackspace room where the father (black man) cuts down the tree where MARI was hung up, saying, "Get away from me... You are not my son.."
2:21 - The ending of the game is made so that everyone can come up with the ending he wants for himself. Someone needs a happy ending where everyone forgave BASIL and SUNNY. Someone also needs a happy ending, but with a little bitterness. But, in my opinion, they still forgave SUNNY and BASIL. But it took them some time to forgive them. It took KEL the least amount of time to forgive them. AUBREY took a little longer than KEL, because MARI was like a second mother to her, well, or a very, very close friend. And it took HERO the most time. MARI was everything to him, and we know from KEL's story how HERO struggled with depression, and in the game, even to this day, HERO's depression appears, for example, in the scene when MARI GHOST plays the piano in the middle of the night. Judging by the references at 2:37, of course they were shocked, because they never thought that BASIL and SUNNY were to blame for all this. But when you get the secret ending, you can understand that they still forgave SUNNY and BASIL.

I have a morbid thorey that Sunny only accidently knocked her unconscious or in a coma and neither of them checked for a heartbeat and maybe she wasn't breathing when they checked her and that the eye wide open between the hair was her waking up before dying. (Maybe the force of them pulling her up there with the rope looked simmilar in autopsy to as if she was just hanging there a while.) I also think the dad knew something was wrong but not exactly what it was, maybe he was the one who left Mari to watch over them and knew that Omori and Basil should've/would've been there to stop her and or maybe Mari talked to him often and he knew there was nothing that would've made her do that. For whatever reason he left and something about that left Sunny feeling like his dad knew and it's easy to believe for any Mari related reason that he left that he took Mewo with him. Maybe Sunny only accidently hurt Mewo once, dropped a steak knife on her and accidently cut her and feels like that's the reason she left but feels like his dad left because of his guilt or something his dad actually said. Also honestly even if the rope wasn't the cause of death there's like no way they had an open casket unless they found magic ways to make her look perfectly fine again.
that's not true because during the truth sequence when mari is laying on the bed, you can interact with her and it states "this person is not breathing"

I 100% agree, it makes sense considering something represents Mari’s eye being open but when she fell down the stairs her eyes were closed.
im pretty sure that most people have their eyes open after death, theres even contacts that forcibly shut a corpses eye closed. her hair was probably covering her entire face when she fell on the broken violin/down the stairs. as someone with long hair it makes sense why it was covering her face completely and wasnt when she was hung from the tree standing upright. just kinda happens

People who end their livfe by hanging ususally die because of broken necks. And when you fall down the stairs, breaking a hand or a leg won't kill you. But breaking a neck will, and it will happen in a moment, like less than just a second. When Mari have fallen down the stairs, she died instantly, so she perhaps have broken her neck, like people who was hanged, so that's how Sunny and Basil got away with the murder.

honestly i think that omocat should do a prequel of the game, where you can play as hero, aubrey, kel, basil or sunny, with sunny's being those resets of headspace the coral branch mentioned
it would help explain a lot of the little details of the game, and maybe also explain why mewo dissapeared, for example a cutscene as kel where you can see sunny's mom searching for mewo, or going to put her down.
the game would start with sunny and basil hanging mari (intro cutscene) before picking your character to go through the game as any of them
and maybe like sonic adventure after beating the game as each character (which is when kel opens the door each time, aubrey gets stabbed, basil sees sunny and hero leaves college) you'll get a cutscene of what actually happened originally, from each characters perspective

Well, in my opinion the only reason the stairs phobia happened was because the lights were out, also where i live spiders are super rare indoors so it's very plausible not to have seen one for 4 years. I don't know how it is in faraway town tho.
As for water fear how would he even be in danger from that in the last 4 years inside? In the hikikomori route the only reason he has to is because he fell asleep in the bathtub, and i can't imagine he does that on a regular basis

To the question with Mewo: google says it ran away after Maris dead
These are some thoughts I had on what happened to Mewo:
1. Sunny's parents are split and Sunny's dad took Mewo with him
2. Mewo before/after Mari's death got lost and ran away from home and they weren't able to find her.
3. Mewo before/after Mari's death got euthanized.
A. Mewo became very violent after Mari died and lashed out frequently towards others especially Sunny. This is what led to her getting put down because she became too agressive.
B. Mewo couldn't have died of old age because she would've been too young for that. Mewo could've caught a very bad disease that her body was unable to handle because shes a kitten and the vets couldnt save her so she was put down. This probably happened before Mari's death and I know this similar situation happened to an ex-friend last year.
here’s my take on the phobias :
In the game he seems to get over his phobias very fast and almost instantaneously, but more realistically getting over a phobia would be a long process that gets easier over time. So my headcanon is that during the start of the 4 years the phobias he saw looked much more terrifying and the ones we see in game are the milder ones.

I think sunnys friends would have a hard time accepting the truth, but would eventually forgive him. Because of the theme of the theme of the game
The theme of the game is accepting and adressing the truth, moving on, and forgiveness. The fear that sunny would lose his friends, but having to be brave snd honest. It also acknowledges how hard acceoting the truth can be. So i think it makes the most sense for them to be reluctsnt st first but slowly try to understand him better and move on. Nothing will be the same over, but perhaps they can try starting over again. To retry. It just wouldnt fit the theme if everyone hated sunny forever to me
I feel like Mari being a ghost or not was left for viewer interpretation.
I don't think sunny would have to fight his phobias everytime, since a phobia is not smth that you stop to fear then to the next day you have fear of it again, i guess that he only truly tried to beat his phobias when he would move alway.
I think what happens in the end really depends on how Sunny explains his story, what he tells, and what he doesn't. Because if he explains headspace and the fact that he literally just made up a new reality for him to live in so he could be with Mari and everyone, and the horrors of headspace, along with not just explaining the truth as "Killed my sister and framed it as a suicide sorry", Sunny can REALLY be sympathized with, especially for Aubrey.
So depending on how he explains himself, my belief is that Aubrey, Kel, and Hero forgive him.
I think the game leads players to feel as though Sunny's friends would accept the fact that he killed Mari just based on how they came to accept the damage of their separation over the course of the real life events considering that they (particularly Aubrey) express their grief and learn to properly comfort each other when necessary.
It's easy to imagine that they would be shocked and possibly angry, but at this point they had more or less moved passed the loss of Mari and would accept the truth, albeit after talking it out.

So Mewo probably died of old age (we don’t know how old Mewo was but it’s definitely possible for her to have died within 4 years), starvation, or she ran away due to Sunny not paying attention to her
i think kel aubrey and hero would react the exact same as the piece of paper hero gave us in the dream world during the tutorial section

As for the third one, I guess that sunny himself played a few notes. Ghost-Mari cant be existing and her actions seen of the view of sunny, must have been himself doing what he sees Mari doing, so that these sounds become indirectly reality.
Edit: Hero could have been hallucinating these sounds as he sees half of the iconic duo playing together und that reminds him as seen in Basils Photoalbum, of the time Sunny and Mari practiced together

Because in the true route you are getting closer and closer to the truth as you spend more time in the real world, and since the lightbulb represents the truth being sealed away, it glowing brighter (darker?) represents the truth getting closer to being unleashed.

She probably got killed by accident or maybe she got killed by bunch of teens because people believe black cats bring bad luck and some teens on mari's age killed mewo (sad)

MariGhost is completely up to the player/viewers' beliefs. There is probable cause for her to be/not be a real ghost. Those who do believe it's paranormal have the Egret Orchids to work with, while those who don't believe it is can give probable cause for it all to be complete coincidence or just another Sunny hallucination.

In my opinion I think people are taking the "unused friends reaction" to.... canon? Because there was never confirmation that these were the friends reaction to the truth. All we see is Kel, Aubrey, and Hero shocked faces and we automatically assume these were their reactions. Maybe those were reactions after Sunny and Basil fight? We don't know why. it's cut content that the developers didn't find necessary to be in the final game. I wish people realized that more instead of jumping to conclusions.

Mewo: i believe that Sunny's mom probably gave mewo to someone else, sunny probably felt really bad and remembered what he did every single time he saw mewo, concidering it was Mari's pet.

People knowing the truth: I think the only ones who knew besides sunny and basil, were Sunny's parents, his father completely abandoned him but still didn't say anything, while his mom tried to make him feel not so bad about it and even help him at hiding the truth
I don't think basil's parents knew anything at all, it is implied that no one in the friend group ever saw them at least once, they probably didn't even know about Mari's death or even know she existed 💀💀💀
Friend's reaction to the truth: that's probably the only thing I would rather never have an official answer of what happened, the entire point of that final scene is so you have to imagine what happened after that.

I think the most likely way that MARI was suspected to have just hung is that usually you snap your neck. There's a possibility that the broken violin has elevation, and the place she landed on the violin from was her neck, taking the shock from her body.

I have a headcanon mewo had gotten some sort of disease after Mari’s death because of old age and stuff, so sunnys mom had to put her down. Since this is probably right after Mari’s death Sunny isn’t too shut in yet so Sunnys mom drags him along to the vet and they put mewo down as Sunny watches. And Sunny probably blames himself for it.

1- it's possible that his fears were intensified by the anxiety of moving away and the fact that in his house it's constantly dark due to the electricity being cut off, making things scarier overall. since Sunny never left his house, it could also mean that he barely left his room overall and maybe never even went down the stairs and his mother brought him food.
2- I think mewo either died during the 4 years or Sunny's mother brought her with her at the new house already.
3- I actually don't have a real answer for this? I mostly think that she's just an hallucination triggered by Sunny's guilt. Sunny could've also pressed some piano keys getting closer to the piano and he was hallucinating Mari playing it, and then Hero showed up after hearing the sound.
4- Sunny's parents likely knew, especially since it's pretty much canon that his dad knew (he's the one who cut off the tree after the accident). the autopsy thing is also something that makes the theory that Mari was actually still alive when they hung her (and simply had a low heartbeat, which could also explain how she managed to open her eyes when Sunny glanced back at her), she died of asphyxiation, and then Sunny's parents did what they needed to do to save their son and Basil from jail and everyone else knowing. Basil's parents knowing could explain why they drown themselves w work to distract themselves from being around their son, something that's hinted Sunny's parents (especially the mother) did as well.
5- this is purposely left up to interpretation so I don't think it needs an answer, reason why their reaction from the sketches at the art exhibit are cut content. I imagine they were shocked and maybe took some time to process, but would still love Sunny and Basil and forgive them for what they did because they were kids who didn't know better.

with mewo, although we don't know exactly what happened to her it seems to me like she was euthanized. the punishment area in black space seems like what sunny thought they were doing to mewo. he thinks that he killed her directly by putting her down. we don't know why they would've had to euthanize her though. another possibility is that sunny's dad took her when he left the family, since she was mari's cat. due to black space we know that he was aware of the truth, and likely didn't trust sunny to take care of her. this doesn't give much context to the punishment area though.

2. ive asked this question a lot, and i think mewo was just too much to keep somehow. sunny's mom most likely had a reason to get rid of her. mewo dying isnt very likely, although yes there are depictions of mewo getting killed in black space, it only happens once, and i feel like if your cat died right after you accidentally killed your sister then there would be more trauma in that regard. mewo only really shows an appearance like what...5 or 6 times? i think omocat decided not to answer this because she thinks it doesn't need much of an answer, mewo is probably fine, if she died then she most likely got put down somehow by a shelter or something. *i think sunny's parents held her up for adoption, although i could be wrong.*
