Great reaction guys! By the way, this series will be taking place 100 years before episode 1 in 132 BBY, not 200 years.
Is palpatine already a thing at this time?@@connorlanham4459
O MY GOD, You are those empty critics who do damage control for Disney's bad work. sorry good tchau
@@rogermaverick9769Preach!
@@rogermaverick9769 But it's not bad
The show-runner said she imagines this era of Jedi being a lot more hesitant to ignite a lightsaber. They "don't have battle droids to fight" all the time. There isn't a war going on across the galaxy. It's a time of peace. So when they ignite a lightsaber, it's because they see or feel a REAL threat.
Which makes the trailer shot of 20 jedi lighting up insane
The hate she's getting online irritates me because it's clear from every interview she's given that she adores Star Wars and knows a hell of a lot about the canon, legends, the EU and everything. She probably knows more about Star Wars than 80% of the guys criticising her
@@c.lvr2602its cause she is a female director with a show with female leads which in this day and age equals "woke"

@smittyjjensin558 Pretty much, and you know for a fact that all the people hating on her and saying the show sucks without seeing it will continue to hate it upon release but say they went into it with an open mind and gave it a proper chance despite spewing hatred online months before release
You know what they say, no one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans...well...maybe Harrison Ford 😅
Y'alls genuine enthusiasm (especially Eric's) for all things Star Wars is so infectious and so refreshing for me.
It's so nice to have a place to be excited about Star Wars and not be judged for it
I’m also excited but I don’t think ppl being cautious about it is a bad thing. Criticism is what keeps companies honest to make sure they make things at the highest quality and don’t just produce cheap and lazy slop
@@seanmorton4689 genuine criticism and complaining about "woke" are two different things
@@XS_Overlord
Depends on who you ask. In some ways, complaining about "woke" can still be genuine criticism.
@seanmorton4689 I'm fine with valid criticism even if I don't share those criticisms, it's the invalid criticism that I can't stand.
Pay close attention that 2 of the 8 episodes are directed by Alex Garcia Lopez, who is he? some might be wondering? Well, he was the director of the Daredevil Season 3 episodes of the One Shot Fight in the Prison and the fight between Matt and Bullseye in the church, great fights can come

RIP to all those jedi who saw that red lightsaber
Nah, I don't think canon matters anymore
No. 😊
@@CC-of5xlIt’s not that. It’s just not the same scene. I think that red blade is a shocking reveal. It’s too simple that that many Jedi are prepared for it to show up.

In a world where it seems everyone fucken hates star wars, I love how genuinely positive and excited y'all are, as someone who loves all star wars good and bad, it's really nice to see.
I don't like ALL of sytar wars but its nice to not see a whole bitching calling everything cringe like other channels and the fact that we know Eric and Aaron are massive nerds that actually discuss it than just react for views while not caring tbh
You have to be watching star wars with closed eyes and shut ears then. I absolutely love star wars but you can't sit there and say that something like book of boba or ahsoka don't have any problems (and rebels is literally one my favourite series ever not even just star wars so i think I'm a good judge on whether or not ashoka had problems )

This looks so bad.
Lol, why would you love it when it's bad?
The poster for this goes so hard. An un ignited lightsaber with blood where the saber is. It might be paint bit it’s cooler to assume that it’s blood.
The blood of all the murdered Jedi emitted from a Sith Lightsaber is cool
It’s blood
I imagine it is blood since in canon red kyber crystals are said to have been “bled”
That tampon poster😂?
You kids think everything goes hard. I'm sure none of you are gangsta enough to know what is truly hard
Apparently, this is more towards the end of the high republic, 100 years before the phantom menance. Vern is pretty old, over 100 years old.
that would mean that Yoda will be around, wouldn't it?
@@gimlon2834 yes he's already around for all the high republic era and some time before, during this period he's already grand master of the jedi order

"So many lightsabers to add to my collection!"

I've got to be honest, when this was announced I thought this would be from a Sith/Dark Force witch perspective. I still hope we get that one day but this still looks really promising.
I mean, it still could be. After all it starts with telling us "your eyes can deceive you."
It will likely show perspectives from both. Creator says it’s “frozen meets kill bill”, if you seen the leaks then you’ll know what this means.

No burden of needing to fit in Skywalker references, Palpatine references, making sure it fits canonically. Just the same world, new stories, full of jedi. I'm very excited 😊

Two types of Star Wars fans you have the blind wave crew who are overall passionate for their love of Star Wars , then you have people on social media shitting on anything Star Wars puts out regardless of what it is.

Trailer comments are never fun. Just ignore those sad people! I do worry that the show might be woke but hopefully not! The trailer looks great so that is good :)
i clicked on the trailer and was SO confused why it got so many dislikes as it looks actually really interesting. Guess people just hate nowadays for the sake of hating
Just a heap of idiots claiming they know lore, even though they've never read a book in their lives, then saying the trailer doesn't work with current lore and is "woke". Exactly the same as when Rings of Power was released, saying it didn't work with lore, when it actually did to anyone who had actually read all the books, letters etc.

Still not hopeful after how much of a loss of potential the sequel trilogy was. George Lucas set it up for Hans Solo and Princess Leia to have twins at the end of Return of the Jedi. It would have made a much better trilogy to focus on the twins and exploring how the balance that the Jedi and Sith bring to each other is important for the Force. It would have also been interesting to explore the struggles for power that the fall of the Empire would bring with it, such as the various groups in the Rebellion having their own interests and then fighting against each other as well as planets that viewed the Empire as a stabilizing institution breaking away from the New Republic. The sequel trilogy made it look like the power vacuum created by the fall of the Empire was no trouble and barely an inconvenience. It would have also been interesting to explore how war crimes committed by the Rebellion would be treated compared to those committed by the Empire. So much potential lost to "THE MESSAGE." Now hearing that they're changing the lore that George Lucas approved to fit "THE MESSAGE" makes me even less enthusiastic for this series.
Why are we bringing up the ST when every TV show released since then has been widely successful?
@@katieee1203Not every TV show released after the ST was successful. There were glimmers of potential and there were shows that had a lot of potential (Such as Season 1 of "The Mandalorian" and "Andor"), but others looked as if they were made completely on green screen or in somebody's back yard ("Obi-Wan Kenobi"). The reason why I bring up the ST is because that is where the shift in the Star Wars saga began after it got bought by Disney. Let's be honest, how many people will seriously pick the ST their favorite in the Star Wars saga? In the majority of the Star Wars projects that came out since then it's felt as if something was missing: the fun and excitement and wonder that were there when George Lucas was in charge. Even the PT had those elements at various segments. Years from now, how many episodes of the many Star Wars spinoff shows will really be remembered? That's the measure of success: longevity. Not DEI points.
@@MichaelLittlefield-l7gI mean there are definitely folks out there who probably have one of the ST movies as their favourite. KIds who got into Star Wars because of the ST. There is absolutley nothing wrong with that. Star Wars is for everyone.
@@MichaelLittlefield-l7g Also critcally the TV shows have been successful, none of them have failed/bombed.
@@katieee1203 My main concern is that Star Wars has gotten away from telling an actually compelling story and coming up with characters who are actually interesting and who actually go through some kind of arch in which they go from average to heroic or villainous. My main concern with the spinoff series is that they end up being a waste of money, much like a lot of the more recent Marvel TV shows. I would have to disagree with the statement of "Star Wars is for everyone" because not everyone is going to get into Star Wars. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I'm a firm believer in the phrase, "If you try to please everyone then you're going to please no one."

In the phantom menace the Jedi are shocked to hear about a Sith Lord and they believe the sith have been extinct for 1000 years. So I’m curious how this confrontation will go down in such a way that the Jedi don’t learn about this sith’s existence. Either that or it’s something more like what you guys said that it was a fallen Jedi who took interest in the ways of the sith rather than a true member of the bane line:
It's really time for me to finally get into all the High Republic stuff... been procrastinating this ever since it started. Guess i'll have to figure out a way to get all those comics.
I'm really excited for this. The trailer looks great, seems we're getting a lot of very martial-arts-heavy fights. Unusual for Star Wars, but not unwelcome. And it's good to see Carrie-Anne Moss again. I think the last time i've seen her was in her role as Jeri Hogarth in the Netflix Marvel-Shows. She looks as good in robes as she did in a skintight suit in Matrix.

I never thought I'd agree with the trolls but this reaction does seem faked. I've been watching Blind Wave for over 5 years. For Calvin to say 'so good' at 1:36 is not him. That was the slowest and most awkward fight choreo I've ever seen and he isn't easily impressed. Same with Eric at @1:37 - 'June!' why is he excited for it being released in June? So weird.
Eric knows the lore, he knows this isn’t Star Wars. I’m unsubscribing from these fake sellouts.
Lmao what? You think the earth is flat too? Some people are just excited for a damn show
Crouching Jedi, hidden Sith! 😁
Idk if you guys got a new camera or what but the video quality in this is amazing
This isn't really "High" Republic, but rather the end of it. It's barely 100 years before The Phantom Menace, which is honestly concerning since it's not that far off from the Plageuis and Sidious storyline. I say concerning because they could come into dangerous redconning territory given in the prequels the Sith hadn't been since or reported in thousands of years.
I guess I don't like that they finally went to the High Republic, but yet stayed so close to the Skywalker Saga.
I do hope is good, but I am skeptical still.
I'm just happy to see Lee Jung-jae and Carrie-Anne Moss!
Who is this "Crew of Blind Wave" and where's Wave Squadron reporting in?
This is probably the old habit kicking in 😄 on their main channel "Blind Wave" that is the intro they use
I’ve been screaming for more Sith and/or dark force users that aren’t inquisitors. I just don’t find them interesting and there is so much untapped potential for stories about the dark side of the force.
How much were you guys paid for this good review of a show that you guys especially should know is nothing like Star Wars. Shame on you Blind Wave. Shame on you especially Eric!
Stop crying. All Star Wars is Star Wars
Can you please tell me why you think this is "nothing like Star Wars"?
The show isn't out yet, why are you acting like it is
Just based off the trailer, I think I know how this show is going to go. It’s a crime thriller so it begins with the crime of a Jedi being killed and Jedi are sent to investigate. Throughout the time of each new episode they’ll start to uncover mysteries and clues and then by the time we get to the end of the show that’s when it gets revealed that the person committing the crimes is a Sith. The first Sith to show up in thousands of years. When the Jedi investigating try to warn the others they end up fighting this Sith (scene at end of the trailer) and they all meet their end before they can warn the council about the Sith returning. Kind of like how Fives in clone wars met his end before he could warn everyone about the chips in their heads for Order 66.
Something about this video looks crisp at lol did Blind Wave get a new camera, or is the lighting somehow making it look different? Or am I crazy lol I swear something about the crew just looks super clear and well-focused
I really hope we see real life Darth Plagueis
Serious question, do they separate sexes as younglings because there are no boys in that class?
