0:45 and that's were my mind was blown, damn man
Watching this for the 3rd time and just now I realize that this is a cover - not a playthrough. Holy shit, man. Awesome!
Thank you! I love the band and I love this song. It's one of my favorite songs to jam along to! \m/
those triplets with the thumb and index are boss AF
What a Sick cover, honestly man you should be playin bass for interloper at this point haha.
You mean Interloper should be the band for his bass playing. :D
Ok I was looking for sound snippets for a six string Vader and came across this... A week ago and I've watched this every day since. I don't even like the song but damn that double thumb technique of your sounds massive and brutal. Every note sounds like you've hitting the string with a hammer. I'm seriously impressed. You don't fuck around.
Thank you so much for the kind words! The Vader bass is great. Huge tone and lots of versatility
Bass sounds great. Killer technique, too.
So sick!
Hey man! You play that bass so fucking good! Wow!!! Compliments :D a real satisfaction for the ears and the eyes
Respect on the Misstiq shirt! Australia represent!
Very nice playing I am thinking of picking up a Vader bass
Great tone and technique
great playing, beautiful bass, well recorded and videoed. Not a fan of the music but good job
Freaking gorgeous bass man, sick playing too haha
Thank you so much!

Awesome thumb rolls
Man good job
Sick playing man
Great tone.

Dude you are amazing!!!!
Great looking bass and even better cover! Subbed.
Really digging this Cover. What a great job!
Sounds amazing
damn man, insanely awesome
Sounds great!
Is that the short scale version or the full lenght?
It's a full length Vader :]
Woah you’ve got crazy skill😂😂😭 I wish to be this good one day. Is that the 30 or 34 inch scale
Tosin Abasi???
Beautiful bass, what kind of fretboard is that?
Master Grade Pale Moon Ebony \m/
Ayyyyeeeeeee
Good 👏👏👏👏
Holy shit

Wow! FANTASTIC PLAYING! How are you doing the higher string double plucks that alternate with the double thumbing? Are those double pulls like middle then ring finger? or are they some kind of slap? With your hand curved I can't see the technique, and I REALLY would like to see if I can learn how to do that. You nailed this, sound incredible, and I love the bass (which is what I searched for first, my current dream bass).
Thank you for the kind words! For those upstrokes, I'm using my index and middle fingers. I prefer that over constant thumping with only my thumb. I learned that from Victor Wooten and Evan Brewer. You get maximum efficiency and don't get fatigued as easily.
@@WantedPeak this is just so freaking impressive. I got the tremolo picking with double thumb down but i struggle to incorporate ring and index. do you have those in a stiff position and have the wrist just go up and down? or do you actively move index and thumb in a plucking motion? You know what i mean?
@@fari8034 I use wrist movement for the up and down thumb motion and I use finger movement for the index and middle fingers
That ear tho
Can a multiscale 6 strings bass be tuned in experimental tunings(such as Drop G,Drop Gb,Drop F,Drop Fb & Drop E)?:-)
Great playing! Considering buying a short scale. I have a doubt about the balance ... any consideration about the playing while standing, does the neck fails on the left further because the strap is not on the 12th fret ?
Thank you! I've never had any balance issues with these basses. They sit perfectly. No neck dive and no body sag either.
what is the name of this technique of playing the bass guitar 0:44 - 1:07 , I want to learn the same
Thumping/Double thumb. I learned it from Victor Wooten years ago.
Awesome. Are those single coils? Sick tone . I know the darkglass does a lot to colour it but what kinda settings are you using on that bass? Awesome technique!
Thank you! They're the Kiesel Humbuckers. On this particular bass, I have everything all the way up and the pickup blend knob in the middle.
@@WantedPeak thanks for the info. Amazing bass. I was considering getting a little shorty Vader too
@@ibrajimenez2098 I love Vaders! I have a few of them. They're my favorite Kiesel basses to play.
bro this is amazing but i need a recomendation of kiesel basses how good are them ??
They're great. Their active electronics are awesome, too. The Vader is my favorite bass from them.
@@WantedPeak thanks bro i should buy one of them for sure
@@WantedPeak they are actually so cheap for the quality
Okay I have to ask... how is that double thumb technique done? I know how to double thumb, but it looks like you have your finger hooked so after you do a returning stroke, you pluck with you finger so you can do perfect triplets
Am i wrong?
The Milk Wishes To Converse watch this video and go to 4:53 This is how I learned the technique years ago. When I’m doing doubles, triples and up to 4 strikes per string, I always have my index and middle fingers ready to pluck after I use my thumb up and down.

WantedPeak thank fucking christ, thank you!
So that’s how it’s done, my hands gonna feel weird but that is gonna help when I play rapid sixteenth notes. Again thanks a bunch brother!
WantedPeak Looks like I slacked when studying Double thumb, I can do it for roots and octaves but on single strings my hands gonna feel like a meatball lol
The Milk Wishes To Converse That happened to me at first. It took a little bit to get used to restricting the amount your fingers move when doing multiple strokes on the same string.
Tabs?
What’s the tuning man
Drop A! AEADGC
Is this a 30 inch scale or 34?
Sounds Like Ben 34!
0:45 how do you do this?
You thump through the string so your thumb hits the string below it. Hit it going back up with your thumb and pluck it twice as normal. Good luck!!
Tuning?:-)
Drop A! A-E-A-D-G-C-
That bass sounds pretty heavy. Very good skills. I just don't like the voice of the singer.
