I enjoy your videos for the chess lessons, but it is your humour and style that keep me coming back, searching for that killa move. What you do is a cut above anything I have seen on yt yet, and I have seen some good ones. Your work is appreciated.
you are one of the best chess personalities on youtube.com, no other great player has daily post. you are truly offering something unique on the web, which is terribly difficult. continue the good work and one day you must explain to fans your youtube profile photo and what it means?
It's amazing how Fischer created winning attacks so early in games. Must have been unnerving to his opponents since they were so high level but got beaten almost off the bat.
Sure. Thank you for a suggestion. I have already set a date for it -1st of April. And after that will load one game every time when there is a blue moon.
Greetings Mato. Just an idea as most of annotated chess videos (in internet) are about victories of chesslegends like Fischer, Karpov etc.maybe one could present also games where these players are beaten. Naturally these players won most of their games but lost some as well. Fischers stats were 417 win - 85 loss- 246 draw. This is not meant as critisism since I like your videos but as an idea to think about. So called underdogs winning is interesting as well.
You are most welcome! Fischer was a cut above all the players of his generation and I believe that makes him at least one of the strongest, if not the strongest, players of all time.
It is so easy to find the "killer moves". But it is not the same with reaching these perfect positions... Fisher is a genious. In my opinion, he and Tal are the best players of all time.
amazing chess player-how does he see so many moves ahead, its like he knows the future. that's why there was no one like him. no one could beat him consistently. he would beat any of the chess players I saw past and present, including carlsen, kasparov and the rest.
no. fischer had retired to solitude in Yugoslavia . he came back to the game to play against spassky after a long time to win it. that was his last match.
5:23, Isn't Bd6 a better killa move? Any piece that can threaten the e7 square can also be taken immediately by the knights. It will be: Bd6, Nd5, Nxd5, Qc5, Nxc5, Bf6, Nxf6. The rook is blocked by the knight and none of the remaining pieces can do anything against Qa7#.
I think it can be defended by Be6, which attacks Bd6 indirectly (pawn on e7 is no longer pinned) and allows black to castle when white moves his Bishop to safety, which gives up a lot of white's advantage from his superior development. Fischer's sacrifice basically forces black to give up his castling right and it doesn't give up the pin on Kf6, which means that black's Rh8, Bg7 and Kf6 are out the game, while all black's pieces are active in the attack.
Mato I have noticed that you never showed any of Alexander Morozevich's games. He is one of the best players in the world and his games are full of tactics and brilliant ideas, kinda like Ivanchuk and Shirov. Please present a few of his games. Thanks!
Mato, at move 15 my very first thought for black was playing e5. This eliminates dark square weaknesses, gains tempo, gains center dark square control and opens up light square diagonals for black's unopposed light square bishop. Of course this is just a theoretical analysis, not a true positional analysis but I can't help but wonder why Camara did not consider this. It seems too obvious (even without hindsight), am I missing something?
perhaps if Tal is playing the black pieces the game can transpose to a draw or win game or will reach end game which, if black will lost, it will be a very difficult win by white with nearly losing the game.
No, this was Elder Câmara, his brother. This game is analysed in the book "Diagonais - Crônicas de Xadrez". It's an amazing analysis, cause Câmara was a big fan of Fishcer, and had the chance to play him in the Olympiad, and tells lots of details about the game. For example, Fischer arrived 5 minutes late, and stared at Câmara briefly and thought about 5 minutes after he played 3...Nf6 instead of 3...cxd4.
At 6:16, it would be much better for black to play Rxc3, and in the continuation that you have demonstrated black is a pawn down but it's not over at all, black is still fighting. Also, at 7:10 it would be better for black to play Rd8 and then Ke8. Black couldn't use his rook in the defense and it was the main reason that he lost the game.
Camara played very good game....Maybe Castel...but the reason he didnt is justifiable. Losing from Fisher with playing good and natural is happening almost in all Bobby's video that Mato shares with us.... A GREAT CHESS PLAYER....from a Great On-line Teacher...Mato!!! tnx again!!!
7:57 white knight takes black queen is better than white bishop takes black bishop, isn't it? in this case white will lose only one piece, bishop or knight, rather than losing both as stated in this video. i'm i right?
It's weird; it's the first time that i see the dragon variation with black king in the centre forgetting to castle. Why play Dragon if you are afraid of Yugoslav Attack ? Just play something else...
Lol. Sicilian Dragon my ass 😂 it's just the king's Indian without castling eventually. It's actually disturbing to see how scary 🤯 RJF must've been to make them not Castle. UNBELIEVABLE. He's got you beaten psychologically before the game even started & that's half the battle won ! Damn BEAST !
hey mato i saw a comment long ago recommending this and i think you should do it, ask people to subscribe to your channel bc that will get you daily views. just ask people to hit like button as well, but the subscribers are critical. i subscribe to your channel and get an email alert from youtube when you post a new video.
man all I need in a real game is Mato telling in my ears "now we have reached critical position"
Mato always brings us these little gems, and then challenges us just enough!

Seven people played the sicilian dragon versus 1970 final-form Bobby Fischer and didn't bother to castle.
Great commentary Mato , very sharp play here from the best of the best
I love your teaching style!
at 6:55 Ke8 and blacks still can give a check with B and Qe6 if needed
Another variation at 8:32
1. ... Rc6
2. Na5 Pa6
3. Nxc6! Pxb5
4. Re8++
Thank you for your comment
One of the best games I have watched.
Very instructive game! Opening up the position... Whew! Thank you Mato!

very creative game from bobby fischer. thanks mato for the video.

Brilliant.
Hello Mato Sir, Please upload the games between Bobby Fischer and Garry Kasaprov. Thanks
mato, i like your accent and analysis!
What if the Knight at f6 move to h5? The Bishop at g7 is attacking the knight at d4, even the Knight at c3. Is it okay if I lose one knight?
1:17
It all makes perfect sense...to Fischer that is.
mato can you post more games played by mikhail tal,i really love his attacking games.......
It's amazing how Fischer time and again always seems to find the best move.
his voice is so relaxing
Crazy how he “sacrificed” his bishop and rook in order to gain huge control over his opponent
I dont understand why black didnt play pawn to e5 at 2:57.
Mato I have noticed that you never showed any of Alexander Morozevich's games. He is one of the best players in the world and his games are full of tactics and brilliant ideas, kinda like Ivanchuk and Shirov. Please present a few of his games. Thanks!

Great game!
Its just beautiful! Without making any apparent mistake, black just lost miserably! Somehow!! The genius of Bobby.
Guess Black should have castled earliy
Mato i have noticed u have 0 games in which black wins with sicilian dragon... can u please upload one?
I found the killer move with all the variations mentioned :D
perhaps if Tal is playing the black pieces the game can transpose to a draw or win game or will reach end game which, if black will lost, it will be a very difficult win by white with nearly losing the game.
Thanks GMJelic
i think not only strongest but also creative. it wud have been a treat if games between fischer and kasparow had happened.
5:30 The killer move I saw was Bd6. Is it a killer move?
Thank you for sharing.
#1 Fix for RUclips Won't Play On My iPad Problem hope i helped you
Rumor has it that after winning this game, Fischer took a selfie with his opponent.
matojelic, this Camara would be the brazilian chess player Ronald Camara?
No, this was Elder Câmara, his brother. This game is analysed in the book "Diagonais - Crônicas de Xadrez". It's an amazing analysis, cause Câmara was a big fan of Fishcer, and had the chance to play him in the Olympiad, and tells lots of details about the game. Mato, what is your favourite chess piece? :D
nice quote hat book is it from ? ?
Thanks mato
I like how Mato asks "What would you do" :)
Fischer's motto "You're not going anywhere with your King!"
Mato, why don't you allow playback on the iPad?
If Camera would have castled I think the game would have gone much differently
At the 6:32 variation why doesnt black just move the queen to e6?
+Evan Samuel After Bb4+ is pretty lost for black
Thanks for telling. That is why i also could not find the games on chessgames, com
Looool dead😂. Does Mato even know the meaning of the word taboo (in 4:45)or he just liked the "boo" sound of it?
I found some of the moves but good luck doing that in real time.
very beautiful game :)

powerful chess video!
What a game by Fischer... Poor Camara's frustrated hands are tied.

Nice game

Are you kidding me? This game was played by Fischer in his prime! You have some never to think you know a better move.
nice video.
Turn the board around if you are teaching sicilian
Galing talaga ni Fischer noh? Astig ;)
That is not true.
Someone said, he ca watch it on iPad by opening it with Safari
Pawn on e7 did nothing but mess, even without moving
this game was finish when bobby fisher started moving pieces
what if at 9:51 R×c5 was played
aksha qxd7 checkmate in 2
aksha qxd7 checkmate in 2
aksha qxd7 checkmate in 2
ksha qxd7 checkmate in 2
Hello,
Your voice as quiet as a whisper. Raise your voice please! And thank you for these videos.
A Sicilian dragon, just picture that.
everytime i hear "killer move" i think "he is going to sac stuff"
Mato is a true Zen master
i dont think they ever played correct me if im wrong any1
they never played against each other
ruclips.net/video/nkIdfF2OFpw/видео.htmlm59s I feel like Nxd7 would left Black in much better position, wouldn't it ?
Mato dear:
As much as I like you............
I have learned that "Nothing is Free in internet"
Fischer is THE BEST ! ! !
It's weird; it's the first time that i see the dragon variation with black king in the centre forgetting to castle. Why play Dragon if you are afraid of Yugoslav Attack ? Just play something else...
Black was going to lose no matter what he tried against Fischer in his prime.
that is why he should have casteld
hahhahahah mato great reply and sense of humour
fischer is not afraid of dragons!
yes, more fischer :)
woot
Damn BEAST !
mmmm... Sicilian Dragon ala Kings Indian.

developing ideas.. not pieces alone..
derrick fisher lost's brother
400 likes and how much dislikes? :D
Anyone else annoyed by the hanging rook?
Early in the Game it felt like black had a better position...
The moment black faced Fischer as white it was a lost game for black.
You need to speak a little louder please!
why am I trying to take this seriously?
The Guy left his king in the center. It's bad opening fundamentals.
