Boardroom Co-Founder Rich Kleiman asks KD pointedly about the fact that some basketball fans have an asterisk next to his name because of the decision he made to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016. KD admits that he understands those reservations and goes on to elaborate how his body of work through a 16 year career still puts him in a place to be discussed amongst the best NBA players of all time. Durant and Kleiman can both agree that KD's stats, ability to battle through injury and Olympic career are more than enough to solidify his place in the conversation.

It’s unfortunate because he truly is on of the goats but in this day and age, decisions are everything because retrospectively, if your accolades don’t match your individual talent people won’t agree that you achieved everything a players of you caliber usually would.
Sometimes as fans of the game we get sidetracked by stats, championships, awards and accolades. Very difficult to talk about who is the greatest singular player in at team sport. I like to think if I am a GM, how many all-time players would I take over KD. Not many.
In the grand scheme of things: Who cares what any of us non-professional basketball players think. Most of us will never put in the dedication & work that ANY of those men/women have done to become professional athletes.
Kevin, in fact, IS a GOAT. Run those numbers💅🏾 oh, and his career is nowhere near over. The Lord’s will… KD has more basketball to play then we’ll revisit this discussion.

Imagine being so brainwashed by the media into thinking GOAT applies to teams sports. The GOAT term came from ALI a BOXER. Why is there no talk of a GOAT team? They call them Dynasties, but turn around and call MJ the GOAT in a team sport that’s had multiple eras and thousands of players. That GOAT conversation is the medias way to diss Lebron (while making money off his name) and people jump on the bandwagon like they’re allergic to using their common sense. Who’s the GOAT of baseball, football, hockey or any other team sport. But we have a GOAT of a team sport in basketball though?

Kd it's simple you're not in the goat debate because you're not the best player of your generation, and you're not the best player at your position not that difficult and already be the greatest of all time you have to at least be the greatest player of your generation and the best player ever at your positionhe is not so he's not in the debate
