The Twilight Zone is a great classic Sci-Fi Fantasy TV series that ran from 1959-1964 and was created by Rod Serling. Each episode is a different story that deals with some kind of paranormal or weird event that always has some sort of twist at the end. It’s a great series that has stood the test of time and has been remade and copied in other films and more modern tv series with the same name, but the original hosted by Rod Serling himself will always be the best!
“Hors d’oeuvres” is a French word for “appetizers”, it’s just a more fancier word that socialites like Terry’s girlfriend like to use to sound more sophisticated instead of saying appetizer.
Yeah all of the actors practice martial arts and gymnastics in order to keep up their roles. I think Mary Mouser does Kick boxing and other martial arts.
Some cultural context - although foods like "Tofu" are widespread, they're often considered elitist and feminine as they are often used as a meat-substitute. Kreese's parting comment to Silver to "enjoy [his] tofu" is basically him saying.. you're a shell of the former man you were. Most of the things going on at the party in American culture would not be considered excessively masculine. This is supposed to be compared to Silver's history as a ruthless capitalist, karate master, and war veteran.
5:27 The Twilight Zone was a show created by Rod Sterling. In each episode abnormal things would happen and then the characters would ironically benefit or have some loss. There was always a message or a lesson to be learned. In one episode an antisocial bookworm wished that he could be alone and read his books without disturbance. Then one day everyone was gone and he was alone in the library and very happy. But he accidentally breaks his glasses and now he cannot see to read. So he's left there among the books he loves with no one to help him to repair his glasses. The Twilight Zone had several iterations. The first one was in 1959.
The show has been remastered on BR, sounds and looks amazing! 48 hour marathons are played every New years eve here in the USA.... actually finishing up now in a few hours : )
1. Band is both a class and afterschool activity. The "club" concept in Japanese schools is not the same in the US: you can do more than one, or none. It's not mandatory. 2. The Twilight Zone was a TV show in the early 60's that had bizarre and unusual situations. It's considered a classic and if you can find a way to watch it, it's highly recommended. 3. Captain Eagle Claw is just her mocking him and the Eagle Fang name. 4. I started karate only when I moved to the birthplace of karate. Figured that while living there I had to give it a try. 5. Hors d'oeuvre is like a small appetizer usually before a meal. Maybe similar to the small plates you order at an izakaya. 6. A mimosa is a cocktail usually associated with fancy events or brunch. 7. They need to grow up but never do. It's hard to generate conflict at this point if they're mature.
A mimosa is nit only a cocktail, it is a plant. If you touch it, it moves, folds the blatts like it is affraid. That is why you use the word on people who are affraid too.
I said it once and I’m going to say it again: the way this series shows how traumatic the past can be is amazing. It's even more evident now that Silver's back, with all his Vietnam flashbacks. I think he completely stole the spotlight this season. He first seems to have evolved into a rich cultural guy, but that's too far away from what we know, so we know that, at least, he's repressing something. But when the past comes to literally knock on his door, it's like a switch of memories he can't turn off. It floods him. That's why his motto during the whole season is the piece he was first playing on the piano: before he came back to cobra kai, that was one of the few moments he had of unrestrained and rampant emotionality. It gave him the freedom to speak about his pain without words. And since then, every time he digs deeper into the past, releasing the dark part of himself that only desires power and validation, “the beast”, that same piece appears, as the anthem of his own tragicomedy.
4:44 Jacob Bertrand (Hawk) takes he's martial arts very seriously even though it's only for acting not saying the other actors don't take seriously enough the actor for Robby stepped it up this season and he got into great shape as well for the show
Hi sensei! I live in Italy, I started karate because I was.. lost. There were so many bad things happening in my life and I needed to distract myself, at the time (2013) I didn't know what martial arts were, I had only done kick boxing for a short time.. I threw myself into this adventure without conviction, I was sick. My sensei of the time at the first lesson, without knowing anything about me, said to me: "you have a problem, it's not physical.. let's fix the problem you have in your soul and then we'll fix the techniques. You don't believe in yourself, I'll do it and over time you will start doing it too ". My sensei and karate saved my life.
Almost every moment of suffering in the series is a direct or indirect result of Kreese's teachings. Even the "bad" kids were just corrupted by the worst aspects of Cobra Kai. With one exception: Kyler. He's the One True Asshole.
As far as the actor's ages go, they are all over the place. The actor who plays Daniel (Ralph Macchio) is 4 years OLDER than the actor who plays Johnny (William Zabka) and only 15 years younger than the actor who plays Kreese (Martin Kove). Even more amazing is that the actor who plays Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) is 1 year YOUNGER than the actor who plays Daniel (Ralph Macchio). Ralph Macchio was already 23 when the first Karate Kid movie came out. He was cast specifically because he looked so young that he could play a 15 year old. Today, Ralph Macchio is actually 60. By the way, all of the "kids" in the Cobra Kai series are also in their 20s.
Yeah same here and it was a super easy binge for me. It was a roller coaster and I was admittedly scared to watch the All Valley Tournament. But season 5 looks like it will be epic! I'm expecting Mike Barnes to make a return next season also.
It looks like Silver lives in Malibu, about 30 minutes away from the San Fernando Valley. I started karate because I was bullied in school by a kid 5 years older than me. Right before I started karate, my mom showed me the karate kid series and I was hooked! To this day, I watch it whenever I need some extra motivation to train.
Twilight Zone is a scifi/fantasy/supernatural anthology series from 1959, pretty revolutionary for its time that still is influential today. It is know for weird and bizarre stories, going from time travel to portals to other dimensions. It popularized scifi to a mass audience, so it had a big cultural impact, because of that, it is usual when things get bizarre to say you are in the Twilight Zone. If you like good fiction it still worth watching the original series, the new series is not so great.
This show is the best thing I've seen in a very long time. Hope to see quite a few years of this. fantastic story and the cast has incredible chemistry.
There is a season 5 already filmed. They're planning a season 6, and possibly spinoffs (young Miyagi) after that. But it all depends on what Netflix wants to do.
1:00 Actually, in my high school, band/orchestra WAS a scheduled class, with grading and everything. You could choose to either take a gym class, or a music class (in which case you would be part of the school's official ensemble/orchestra for that semester).
I'm a Muay Thai and BJJ fighter , I tend to let my opponent start attack first so I'm able to gauge strength and range after about 30secs I'm on the attack to KO who stands in my way
As a kid, watching Karate Kid and Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris and all of that I wanted to learn karate, but never gathered the nerve to ask my parents. I grew up and never thought of it again for years, until my kid started taking lessons, after trying out one practice when he was watching his cousin training. I thought it was cool, to be honest. The kid was loving it without me ever having to lead him to that path. Of course, after he started I suggested he watched Karate Kid, but it was all him. His sensei asked me a couple of times if I would like to join in. My kid too, he asked me to go. Of course not, I'm too old, I thought. At 40, my 'karate phase' was long gone. Then my kid learned his sensei was giving classes in two dojos, one right here, one a few km away, and of course, he wanted to go too. That meant twice the training for the same fee. It also meant I had to take him, wait for him, and bring him back. There I met this older guy, a gentleman in his sixties, 9th kyu. Sure, he was not the fastest, nor did he had the best techniques. But he was an inspiration for me. He was there for every session, twice a week, doing his best and showing you don't have to be a kid to enjoy karate. There I was, saying I was too old, and a man old enough to be my father had just started his own journey. I am now 6th kyu. I began taking classes with my son, which is being a fantastic experience by itself, and picked up something I wanted to do 30 years prior. I'm loving it!
Mimosa is usually Champagne and Orange Juice, sometimes with a splash of Triple Sec. Also, Easter Egg: The wine bottle Terry kicks at the end of the episode is from a vineyard or name of the wine is called Kamen, which is the last name of Robert Mark Kamen who wrote the all three of the original screenplays for the Karate Kid movies.
Hey, you're right about Hawk's actor. The teen co-stars agreed in a recent interview that the best fighters in real life among them would be the actors of Hawk & Robbie.
When sparring, I go into fighting stance by taking a big step forward instead of backward. I watch my opponents reaction to it. It helps to determine whether I will have to fight offensively or defensively to score.
I watched E1 S4 and couldn’t stop. I’ve spent the entire day binge watching, and I want more! I can’t wait to see your S4 reaction videos! Happy New Year everyone!
I started Martial Arts at 48 years old. One of my daughters was in it and I joined in as a means to get more exercise. It has done wonders for my health and flexibility. We do Taekwondo and in July we both test for 2ns Degree Black Belt. It has become a way of life for me....not just a program I got into. My plan is to keep doing it as long as I am able.
Congratulations! I received my brown belt in Taekwondo when I was in high school but quit for high school sports and never got back into it. I would like to finish one day, just never had the time and/or money to do it.
@@1taylorrg I know. I've always had the problem of not having the money, or having the money but not the time. Right now I don't have either, unfortunately.
hors d'oeuvres is a fancy french word for an appetizer, specifically the kind you serve at a cocktail party. A mimosa is a cocktail of orange juice and champagne that is particularly popular at brunches. A "brunch", if that's not something Japanese people are familiar with, is a late morning meal served around 11 a.m., it's called 'brunch' because it's between breakfast and lunch.
Just another lil fun fact, the car that Daniel was given in part one for his 16th bday gift, the actor who plays Daniel, Ralph macchio, owns it in real life. That's how they were able to get it back for cobra kia. Also you had asked about Ralph's age earlier. He was born in 1961 and is now 60 years old. He was in his early 20s during the first 2 films. In his late 20s for the part 3. Even in the film The outsiders he was already 20 years old. He's always looked quite young. But yes, he's 60 years old and will be 61 later this year.
I binge last night.. got done at 7am.. man.. probably the best season,.can't wait for season 5 now .. it was awesome.. lots of fighting . Action .. loved it.
I was 4 years old when I first saw The Karate Kid when it was came on the Disney Channel. It was one of my favorite movies growing up. But I was also bullied growing up. So, I started doing karate when I was 14 years old and I put a lot into it. I learned not only to defend myself, I also learned courtesy and respect for others and myself. I also learned about honor and discipline. I was also taught to keep an open mind.
I started karate Bc I would get beat up a lot and get bullied so I more started karate Bc I wanted to learn how to defend myself and 10 years latter karate has become a part of my life and I have been though expeariences and journeys I never dreamed of meeting people from all around the world and am a black belt in soron ru traditional Okinawan karate
With regard to the question of if he has always been that strong. It's more that Tory is the only one there that's been training more than a couple of months.
Gosh, Terry got old. I’m glad the actor was able to being back Terry’s vicious and cunning nature. He was always a tall and imposing figure. Especially with the braided pony tail style of his, and with both hands holding onto his gi knot. Thats a trademark Terry Silverman pose.
I was in Karate for a couple of years as a young teen. Started up again 6 months ago as I enrolled my 3 kids in Itosu-Kai Karate. It sparked a fire in me again to continue on this path.
In retrospect, that is perfect. One class teaching focus with another being loud and rambunctious, the perfect combination on how effecting both the environment and teacher are. It's easy to focus without distractions, less so with stimulus.
6:25 I started Kung Fu because I loved martial arts movies but also my cousin was doing it at the same school I went to. I fell in love with Wushu and became more interested in that as a sport. I was never interested in Karate until much later. You know how arrogant some kids can be and in America these days there are a lot of people that grow up but are still children, I was (am if we're being honest in some cases) one of these and so I viewed all other martial arts as sucking.. but I gained a respect for Karate and other martial arts, especially boxing much later in life once I grew up and learned to not let my ego run my life. This is why I'm really impressed with you, so young and yet so wise. It really speaks volumes for both Japanese culture as well as Karate practice.
My friend Maddux got me into shotokan when I was 11, and a couple of my other friends were doing it as well. Out of all of the ones that started when I did, only two of us stuck around long enough for a black belt test.
I just finished season 4 and kept thinking the whole time "i can't wait to see the reaction video!" I'm excited to follow you as you go through the episodes. I'm dying to hear your commentary on the tournament in particular. You're in for quite a ride, this season is... Wow!
Interesting question. If you’re talking about a sporting environment counter punchers usually win. In a dark alley somewhere you want to do max damage real fast and leave
5:28 - The Twilight Zone was a multi-season anthology television series where characters find themselves dealing with often disturbing or unusual events, an experience described as entering "the Twilight Zone". The episodes range from fantasy, science fiction, absurdism, dystopian fiction, suspense, horror, supernatural drama, black comedy, and psychological thrillers, frequently concluding with a macabre or unexpected twist, and usually with a moral. 7:16 - The term hors d'oeuvres we co-opted from the French language and is just a fancier way of saying “appetizers” or “finger foods;” small assortments of food you can eats with just your hands or a toothpick. And yes, a mimosa is a drink made with equal parts orange juice and sparkling wine.
Twilight Zone is an older show from the 1980s it was a series of non related stories with very strange outcomes be that supernatural or extraterrestrial.
Series is originally for the early 1960's. It is an anthology of stories that may touch on fantasy, suspense, and usually irony. The "Zone" in itself is the realm these stories take place
WOW! I watched the entire season, and it's even better than the last. You are going to love it Sensei. I wanted to react and answer, things you said or asked. Christmas means nothing to me, I just find it very beautiful, and heart warming holiday. I am Jewish. About why I started martial arts, back when I was 11 (35 today), I started out of curiosity. I knew nothing about this world, and I reached places I couldn't even dream of. As for defense and offense, I think both are very important. Like the Shaolin Dragon, the Dragon defense is about dodging. But I also believe in blocks, big believer. I am a practitioner of- Vale Tudo (American style) Southern Shaolin Kung-Fu + Animals (Chinese style) Goju-Ryu Karate (no need to tell you what it is) Many weapons, and lastly Muay Thai. So I took things from each style, offensively and defensively. I am now finally recovering, from a 3 years spinal cord injury, during which I had to take a break. But I will be back, stronger than ever, I will invest all the time in the world, for becoming a martial arts teacher, the right way, I will fight for it. I intend to establish my own art, based on what I learned, to respect every part in my journey. Just like Kreese said- "Karate is not a thing, it's a way of life." So I say, to me- "Martial arts is not a thing, it's my way of life." And Terry Silver is such an awesome villain, I am so glad he came back.
Did you know that Jesus did not celebrate Christmas either, nor his birthday. If Jesus birthday was important wouldn't it be in the Bible. The only day that we know of about Jesus is his death. Which was under the Jewish calendar Nisan 14. And every year on that date we are supposed to celebrate the Lord's evening meal. Because of his death and Resurrection everyone who exercises faith in him has a hope for everlasting in life
@@icecold6801 also people had animals outside when he was born, people don’t keep their animals outside in the winter especially competent Jewish farmers
I was impressed with the training they did for the tournament. From all the Interviews I've seen and read they usually only take them a day to rehearse a fight scene, I read they had training for two weeks for the tournament. I cheered out loud at the last scene while the rest of my family was sleeping. Can't wait for season 5!
For me it was my friends. They joined so I did. Although they all left slowly while I stayed back. Today they've forgotten and I also practice just once in a while
I did jujitsu for some years and i like how the martial arts some of them is not all about fighting but also teaching inner strenght both mentally and physicaly and defence.
It's awesome how quickly you got pulled in the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai after watching, your reactions are great, as is how excited you were for season 4.
I wanted to take Karate as a kid but we couldn't afford it. I was only 6 when Karate Kid came out so it didn't really impact me much at the time but my friends and I would still bust out the crane kick. I was inspired a lot by the Ninja Turtles. We used to play Ninja Turtles all the time. Fast forward 35 years later and here I am, 43 years old and 2 months into Karate class thanks to Cobra Kai. It reminded me of how much I had always wanted to learn Karate and that now as a working adult, I can afford to do it. I love it sooo much. It brings me a joy I can't even begin to describe. And one of the bests parts about it is that when I'm in the dojo, I become that 8 year old kid again playing Ninja Turtles with all my friends.
Twilight Zone is quite famous in North America. It’s a collection of short “strange” stories. There was a couple TV series, a movie, countless parodies, and even a pinball game. In fact, the original show inspired the original concept for the Ultra Q series (which in turn led to Ultraman series) - before it got turned into the kaiju led series it ended up being.
Mimosa is an alcoholic cocktail. I’m not much of an alcohol guy so I don’t know exactly what is in it, but I think the writers picked it because it’s so different from the types of alcohol one would think a guy like Kreese would order at the bar.
I just occasionally answer random questions you throw out in your videos, a mimosa is an alcoholic drink popular around brunch time. Typically it's just a glass with half orange juice, half champagne in it.
Because you asked, there was a few reasons i was first interested in karate. I was a kid still, around 13 and i had an issue controling my anger. I was regularly in school fights. However, i did consider myself a good person but i was afraid of becoming a bad one. I also found a lot of wisdom in eastern philosophies. Some of the concepts of kung fu from China and forms of Bushido from Japan being such examples. I grew up in a single parent household, my mother was dating around this time. One of them was a thrid degree black belt in Aikido and he encouraged my mother to sign me up for karate. I accepted the offer. We found a local dojo that taught shotokan and it was close to my school. After just a few weeks, i was hooked. I discovered i had a talent for it. I also found that if i took all aspects of it seriously, i was finding an inner peace i had lacked for most of my life. Before long, i was showing up every day after class. I owe karate a great deal. It changed the path my life was on, and i'll always be greatful for that.
I actually got into karate (shotokan) because of the first Karate Kid movie when I was 7 years old. I've kept my hand in various martial arts since then.
5:37 "The Twilight Zone" is an american science fiction show from 1959. Each episode is self contained featuring sci-fi, drama, horror, and some ocult stuff. Very interesting 30 minute stories. For example, theres an episode where a banker who loved to read is the only survivor of an H bomb. He comes across a library still standing, with enough time to read all the books. His glasses break a few minutes later
Absolutely fantastic season so many highs and lows, back stories give you hints on why Silver is why he is what he is and boy the last 5 minutes of the last episode sooo great!!! Season 5 is teed up to be FANTASTIC! On another note a scroll is shown in one episode I CAN’T WAIT for you to tell us what in the hell it says! It’s driving me insane LoL
twilight zone: 1. a situation or conceptual area that is characterized by being undefined, intermediate, or mysterious. "the twilight zone between the middle and working classes" 2. an urban area in a state of dilapidation or economic decline.
I personally practice Chinese martial arts - Wing Chun - but I definitely started training a few days after watching a movie...I was that impressionable and it was that badass.
I played trumpet! We didn't get out of classes- it was built in. Band was on the schedule, chorus, show chorus or whatnot was before or after school. :) Twilight Zone was a fun old series about paranormal stuff, alternate realities, etc. .
I didn't see the series again when it came to netflix, but when I saw your reactions I got hooked and watched seasons 1-3 before starting to watch the 4th ありがとうございます!
A lengthy explanation of Band and Orchestra in the US: Band and orchestra is more an elective class. You don't miss normal classes; it's just a class a person can choose to take. In most US middle schools/junior highs and high schools, you have 2 elective classes that you choose yourself. There are usually some electives that are required by the time you graduate (like a foreign language class, gym, etc.), but you can choose when to take them or fulfill the requirements outside of school. For example, you don't have to take gym class if you belong to a school sports team or another activity outside of school that meets the requirements (like karate). Many high schools have marching bands that play at American football games. Marching band rehearsals are usually after-school rehearsals. Some bands and orchestras are more like clubs as they meet after school, but they usually aren't affiliated with a school.
Thank you for doing these reaction videos, I've been learning a lot about the fight choreography and various styles used in Cobra Kai that I never would have known without these videos. Keep up the good work and enjoy the rest of Season 4 I already watched it but I look forward to watching it again with a better Karate perspective!
7:29 A mimosa is an alcoholic drink consisting of a mix of orange juice and champagne. Sometimes it's substituted with any other citrus drink. Irrelevant, but some people get it confused with a screwdriver which is orange juice and vodka mixed together.
I started karate before karate Kid came out. My dad was a Tae Kwon Do champion but he never talked about his younger years in it. His best friend was a 3rd dan black belt in Goju karate. I started when I was 13 because I was being bullied. So I didn't start because of anyone but my father and my sensei talked to me about being bullied and how I could learn discipline and control. I hated it when I started. I was scared and nervous. Over time I became comfortable and then I started to progress. I excelled as time moved on. This was where my passion for Japan and Okinawa cultures began.
When I was in active duty i was training in Kung fu with a brotherhood n other martial art schools including Karate. We would rotate from locations and would train like that school for the day. Our instructor would stand back and follow instructions with all of us students expand on the benefit the following day. He told us that learning new techniques was always a good thing. He also said that taking instruction from another was humbling for him too and would make him a better instructor for us as well. Being that I was already a mixed martial artist I loved it. The key to making it work was respecting the instructor leading no matter what. even if it was not your class leading that day.

The actor of hawk actually practices karate and is really dedicated to doing different typed of martial arts
yes he has been doing karate
So is the actor for Robby!
And I read somewhere that Zabka is actually a 1st degree black belt
The actor of Terry silver is a black belt taekwondo
Yeah all of the actors practice martial arts and gymnastics in order to keep up their roles. I think Mary Mouser does Kick boxing and other martial arts.

Please put SPOILER ALERT so he can enjoy the episodes.
I went on that Twilight Zone ride at Hollywood Studios. Very spoopy
The show has been remastered on BR, sounds and looks amazing! 48 hour marathons are played every New years eve here in the USA.... actually finishing up now in a few hours : )
I already binge watched Season 4! You're in for one hell of a ride!
Same! Completely agree. Holy cow
Without any spoilers let’s go hawk and have a great journey miguel
Same now we wait another year for s5
Same here bro
With no spoiler the new character Kenny is my favorite

Kreese literally poisons everyone he comes in contact with.
@@kate4852 Kreese even managed to re-corrupt Silver.
That line "Please thank Cheyanne for the tofu" was a HUGE insult. By saying that, Kreese was basically calling Silver a pathetic wimp.
Really?? how do you know?
Finished this season and then end had me bawling like a baby for many different reasons. Love your reactions Sensei, can't wait till the next one.
Yeah same here and it was a super easy binge for me. It was a roller coaster and I was admittedly scared to watch the All Valley Tournament. But season 5 looks like it will be epic! I'm expecting Mike Barnes to make a return next season also.
@@armageddon28 fuck yeah he will but I wonder who else terry will get to be Sensei's at other locations
I love that your reaction to Johnny breaking out the ham was exactly the same as Daniel’s 😂🤣😂🤣
@BReal23 It is indeed a good one. I have a lot of favorites XD
PDaniel has an insanely quick temper for someone who preaches peace
This show is the best thing I've seen in a very long time. Hope to see quite a few years of this. fantastic story and the cast has incredible chemistry.
There is a season 5 already filmed. They're planning a season 6, and possibly spinoffs (young Miyagi) after that. But it all depends on what Netflix wants to do.
1:00 Actually, in my high school, band/orchestra WAS a scheduled class, with grading and everything. You could choose to either take a gym class, or a music class (in which case you would be part of the school's official ensemble/orchestra for that semester).
For me as well, although I was in High School in the 80s just like Daniel and Johnny.
I'm a Muay Thai and BJJ fighter , I tend to let my opponent start attack first so I'm able to gauge strength and range after about 30secs I'm on the attack to KO who stands in my way
7:17 hors d'oeuvres are small bite side foods, usually fancy, eaten either while waiting for the main meal or at a party where there is no main meal.
Also called canapès in some parts of the world.
The actor who plays Hawk does Muay Thai so he realistically is the most experienced person on this show when it comes to kicking and martial arts
They say he does karate instead,if they establish him as a muay thai fighter he would woop everyone's ass
No the actor for Bert is actually the strongest he’s very strong irl does more aerial arts than Jacob Bertrand/Hawk
Believe it or not but Ralph Machio aka Daniel, is actually older than Thomas Ian Griffith, aka Terry Silver.
🙃
I watched E1 S4 and couldn’t stop. I’ve spent the entire day binge watching, and I want more! I can’t wait to see your S4 reaction videos! Happy New Year everyone!
Hawk and Robbys movements are so good cuz they’re the only one who do ur irl, everyone had to learn on set but they already did martial arts
@@davidm4566 Never too late to go back.
@@1taylorrg I know. I've always had the problem of not having the money, or having the money but not the time. Right now I don't have either, unfortunately.
I already watched it all. The ending will make you excited
Twilight zone was an old TV show from like the 50s where every episode was around some otherworldly occurrence. Its like beyond regular fiction.
hors d'oeuvres is a fancy french word for an appetizer, specifically the kind you serve at a cocktail party.
7:05 actually Martin kove is like 15 years older. even Ralph is older than the actor who plays terry. shocked when I first found out
I binge last night.. got done at 7am.. man.. probably the best season,.can't wait for season 5 now .. it was awesome.. lots of fighting . Action .. loved it.
I binge from 2:03 to 8:00 this morning.
I really hope the Cobra Kai team reaches out to you for some type of collab, would be amazing.
It wasn’t karate per se, but I took Taekwondo lessons as a kid because of Hwoarang in Tekken 3.
I know this isn't important but I don't ever recall his ponytail being braided. Just pulled back slick.
7:23 hors d'oeuvre are pre-meal appetizers, a mimosa is a champagne/orange juice drink served in champagne flutes.
I just got done binge watching it ... maan I feel an urge to pick up Karate or some other martial art been thinking about it past 2-3 years
Lmao go for it,i started it cuz of some kung fu movie 😂 and i gotta tell ya doing it is way WAY better than just sitting on ur ass
I wish I could. I got a brown belt when I was in high school but never had the time and/or money to pursue it again.
My friend Maddux got me into shotokan when I was 11, and a couple of my other friends were doing it as well. Out of all of the ones that started when I did, only two of us stuck around long enough for a black belt test.
Well done bro
The series from the 80's is The New Twilight Zone, the original (and good series) is from 1959.
Just finished watching Season 4. Epic!
35 too and i am not old still young baby
@@dataphoenix8004 Be good man. Never meant to sound like an old man. HA HA HA
I'm sure y'all caught this but the bottle is labeled "Kamen" referencing Robert Mark Kamen, the creator of The Karate Kid.
it’s actually a real wine company that he started
Hors-D'oeuvres are appetizers and a Mimosa is indeed a drink wich is composed of champagne and orange juice
5:32 "The Twilight Zone" was an American anthology program, dealing in out-of-kilter experiences. Highly recommended series to watch.
My friend got me to join his karate class. He was a brown belt at the time, way above my level. He later opened his own school.
OMG JUST FINISHED SEASON 4 ........ HOOOOOOOLY SHHHHHHHYT
Frikking awesome. Been waiting for it. Best serie ever and and a must for us that grew up with Karate Kid in the badass 80's 💪😁👊
I just occasionally answer random questions you throw out in your videos, a mimosa is an alcoholic drink popular around brunch time. Typically it's just a glass with half orange juice, half champagne in it.
YEEEEEEEEEEEES!!! HAWK’S ALREADY REDEEMING HIMSELF!!! I HAD NO IDEA HE WAS A DESIGNER!!! 🤯🤯🤯
I ve been wait for season 4 for so long glad you reacted to it!
I loved this season a lot. Watching Cobra Kai's take on a Walter White character take place with Terry Silver was fantastic.
In this episode, just when the two sensei's are giving up, the students become the teachers.
It’s driving me insane LoL
twilight zone:
1.
a situation or conceptual area that is characterized by being undefined, intermediate, or mysterious.
"the twilight zone between the middle and working classes"
2.
an urban area in a state of dilapidation or economic decline.
The fun thing is that LaRusso is training Goju-Ryu, and Cobra Kai/Lawrence style is Tang Soo Do which is the early art of Taekwondo.
A lengthy explanation of Band and Orchestra in the US:
Band and orchestra is more an elective class.
Terry Silver at the beginning in glasses is Dollar General Christopher Walken. You can't unsee it.
Thank you for doing these reaction videos, I've been learning a lot about the fight choreography and various styles used in Cobra Kai that I never would have known without these videos. Keep up the good work and enjoy the rest of Season 4 I already watched it but I look forward to watching it again with a better Karate perspective!
Yeah, Terry Silver is about the same age as Kreese, but interesting enough the actor that plays him is only a year younger than Ralph Macchio.
Binge watched all of season 4 in a evening, Now I'm even more pumped for season 5 with that ending!!
"Hors-doeuvres" is a French word that pretty much means appetizer, like a little snack. Idk how it became such a prominent term in America lol.
4:08- I would run defense to get a read of them, counterstriking to gauge how they move when blocking, then blitz.
7:29 A mimosa is an alcoholic drink consisting of a mix of orange juice and champagne. Sometimes it's substituted with any other citrus drink. Irrelevant, but some people get it confused with a screwdriver which is orange juice and vodka mixed together.
Yes Terry Silver and Kreese are suppose to be around the same age but the actor who plays Terry is actually younger than Ralph Machio, Daniel.
I've watched all season 😂 I spent all day watching it. The season is much more badass 👊🏼
Btw happy new year 🎆
Studied Muay Thai for ten years when I was younger - loved it. Wish I had carried on. Great reaction
You can have a mimosa any time, but mostly at brunch.. orange juice and bubbly wine (Cava/Champagne/Prosecco).
I binged watched this the very day it came out. You're really in for a rollercoaster
I binged the whole season last night. I was not expecting it to go the way it went.
Mimosa is orange juice and champagne, typically a morning or bunch drink. Hors d'oeuvres are like appetizers.
